Dr Ward is very unique, even amongst other Upper Cervical. I have been to most all of them. Even top ortho doc at Beaumont wanted to do surgery. Montgomery is a quack! So glad I found Dr Ward!! His approach is like no other chiro. He will not aggressively move bones, rather he gets the supportive tendons and ligaments to relax enough for adjustment to happen. My husband and I love Dr Ward. My hubby has been in construction for over 30 years. My advice is to give Dr. Ward a try, but the biggest advice I have is to understand the process. nothing in medical, particularly our physical health, has a textbook treatment approach. For me, because because my back has so many issues, my treatment is left up to a physician that can utilize their knowledge of the human body, but yet identify very unique situations happening within my body. I will say, not every visit is miraculous. Particularly during the first few months. Sometimes it is two steps forward and one step back. That is just the process. Unwinding years of damage. This place is wonderful and Dr. Zachary Ward knows what he is doing! I suffered greatly after my stroke and diagnosed with Trigeminal Neuralgia (also called the Suicide Disease) on the same side that my stroke affected. He has helped me so much in the past 2 months and planning to continue to see him! He has been able to decrease my pain and swelling on my face and significant relief on my left low back, hip and knee from my stroke. I have actually been actually able to talk to my family with significant decrease in pain while I'm talking as well as resting between conversations and I am able to have a full smile with out pain that had limited my ability to function with so many problems. Dr. Zachary has done more for me and shown more care than the ER, neurologist, and family doctor combined. I honestly don't know what I would have done without him, and I am truly grateful for his support and expertise. i have been attending Dr. Zachary sessions for the past 2 months and my neck mobility issues are gone, my back pain is no longer there and my overall health immunity is much improved. Dr Zach is terrific! He helped me get quickly back into shape from a lifetime of compounded problems, and every time I go back and see him he spends about two min examining me and checking stuff like "turn my ankles downwards " then he quickly identifies the problem area (usually nowhere near where I think it hurts). He works on the area he selected gently and using minimal adjustments (a 90 yr old with "brittle bone syndrome" could handle his adjustment's they are very gentle). Then he says "stand up" and I do...and darned if the problem all the way on the other side of my back is not gone! The man is a magician and an excellent Dr. He's great with answering questions if you have any and I wish I found him sooner. I have seen chiropractors for over 40 years and they have all helped me to be able to be physically active, but now well into my 60's I was having trouble maintaining that physicality. Raking, shoveling and other tasks I needed to do in my retirement would cause me physical grief for many days. Dr Ward takes great care of his patients. He works to find out what you specifically need based on your past accidents, medical conditions, lifestyle, etc. He has helped me solve problems I've had without even knowing them. He's opened my airway when I don't even realize I'm having breathing troubles. A lot of people will denigrate chiropractors or try to say they aren't really helping, all I'd say is those people haven't seen Dr Ward.
