They've really made the most of the space though without making it feel at all crowded or cluttered. The selection is amazing. You're likely to find what you came in for on the shelves, but if not they can order it for you. The employees are friendly and helpful, and the store vibe is relaxing and comfortable. They host a wide range of events like author talks and sip n' shop nights. And there's a parking lot right out front. Definitely stop in here when you're in the neighborhood!

All of the books are in gently used condition and 50-70% off the original price. The selection is not the largest, but it is absolutely cozy and a great spot to try and discover your next great read. The books are organized by category/genre and arranged on individual shelves throughout several different rooms. The ground floor and the second floor combine to offer a total of a dozen rooms filled with books. You can come across the occasional well loved and filled with individual commentary along the margins. More often you will find a book you have been meaning to get but never took the time. If you take the time and you don't mind browsing you can definitely find some bargains. There is also frequently a rack of books on the front porch going for less than a $1 each. There are certainly larger bookstores and stores with larger selections. This one blends perfectly into this small-town and on a lazy weekend afternoon can certainly offer up some wonderful books for real bargain prices.

What I like about this bookstore is everything is well curated and organized and there isn't an overwhelming amount of books. It's mostly popular titles or current titles and you can easily pick out books to read. They had a small seasonal section as well which I picked from. I bought 5 books each were around $5 or so which is such a good deal . I spent $27 in total. I'll definitely be back when I'm in the mood for a current book to read, it's much easier than browsing thrift stores and the like. The girl at the counter was also nice to boot ! The reason for the low rating is the selection, which BLOWS. The shelves are often partially empty, and the books they do stock are either bestsellers that everyone carries (i.e. the Twilight series) or those bargain-bin books that you always see knocked down to $3.99 at Borders. You know, the random cookbooks and craft books that have no discernible author but are put together by a team of editors? Yeah, those. That's about it with this place. They do also sell some cards, blank books, and knickknacks, but I've seen comparable selections in hospital gift shops. On the plus side, the staff really is wonderful and is happy to do special orders at any time and for any book. I know someone who places orders frequently through them and is very pleased.

On to the review of the comic shop...This place has a lot going for it, graphic novels rack with 30% off, tee-shirts, wall comic books (expensive sought after comic books that are fun to look at on the wall) and what appears to be a large back issue stock. I was killing some time and only bought a comic book oversized sleeve with a backing to protect the first appearance of Shadow Moon Premiere issue 23. I recommend you stop in as they have everything from Alf put together figures to very nice pieces of art work detailing comic book icons. Very glad this store isn't too far away but if I am being honest I buy 99% of my comics online. Great selection of toys, comics (current issues line the walls, lots of back issues, and lots of wall books for serious collectors), a lot of trades (which are really well organized which is something that I think a lot of comic shops don't do nearly as well as they should - these guys do!). They also have a nice selection of Hot Toys and statues, as well as tshirts. What puts this place over the edge? The staff. This is not your stereotypical comic shop staff (which, to be fair, is not as common nowadays as when I was a kid) where the clerks would look at anyone who came in that wasn't a regular as an outsider to be shunned. These guys make all feel welcome, even those who know nothing of these nerdly delights. I've seen them help moms search for something for their kids as intently as regulars looking for a new book to try. The best thing I can relay, though, is a time I went with my son - we walked in, were greeted as we did, and went about perusing the store. As we walked around, one of the clerks came over to us, asked if it was ok to give something to my son, and gave him a little plastic Flash ring. It wasn't fancy but it was a touching gesture that made me and my son feel welcome, even moreso than we already had. So if you're looking for a comic book shop, this is your place!

I walked out with a couple great books to add to my collection, and will be back soon to pick up some more! My favorite thing about this store is that they offer hard to find books for a great price. They have an extensive Pennsylvania section which includes biographies about many of of the small colleges dotting the southeast part of the state, and a large amount of genealogical books as well. I was strapped for time and didn't get a chance to explore the entire store, but the sections I perused left me with a great feeling about the place. The lady who helped me check out was extremely friendly as well. Have already recommended this store to a couple friends and family, and I will personally be making the trip back out as soon as next week. Highly recommend!

The owners of THIS store have been in the book business for a while. Both put in years at a large chain bookstore. They've used that experience to create a store people WANT to shop. They are extremely knowledgeable on many topics, and very friendly. The store, like many used bookstores, is a work in progress. The difference is the people, and the staff are amazing!

We mentioned some previous books that our niece enjoyed, and the lady was able to give a number of great recommendations. All three of us enjoyed the experience so much that we each bought a book.
