There were three separate police departments giving away back packs, school supplies, groceries and SWAG. It's great to see the police and the community working together. Now, the bookstore is filled with several titles by black authors, both new and old. There is also a small selection of oils, black soap, and other items. The owner is extremely friendly and willing to help you find any title he doesn't have. I will definitely be back not only because he ordered a book for me, but also cause why not!?! Five stars all the way!

I will admit this one could use a little bit of an update - mostly just in the cafe . But it's super nice! I love that they have a dessert case and you can get all your Starbucks drink. Staff was so nice at the cafe and at the register! The store was clean, tidy, and had a lot to offer ! It was well organized and I enjoyed my time perusing the books as well as the large gifts and stationary sections. I'll be back for sure now that I know all that they have to offer !

I wasn't impressed with the person running the store, though. My first time there, I was given the cold shoulder, even when I tried to initiate a conversation. The company was supposed to send us a new invoice with the agreed upon amount, however we never received it. After numerous unanswered calls, we gave up. That was two years ago in June of 2015. Just last month I received an invoice from them for the original $380. Again, tried contacting to argue the invoice but they never answered their phones and will not return calls. Definitely a scam. Stay far away!

This business is running a scam. Someone from their organization called me at the school where I…read morework to offer a free copy of a book and CD-ROM package, which I accepted after confirming that the product was free. Then, I received an invoice from them 2 months later for $295, which included a $25 charge for shipping just the 1 book. I called them to clarify and the representative told me the book was shipped for a 60-day preview and I needed to ship it back (at my school's expense) or pay the $295. I would avoid them at all costs since they obviously are running their business unethically by trying to scam non-profits schools like mine.
