Best tattoo shop in the KIssimee area! It's across from medieval times so that's a good land mark. The place is very clean and u notice which is important. The staff is welcoming and has good customer service. My fiancée got tattooed by Gabe recently and I've visited him for a small cover up as well. Gabe is talented and so nice! It was a pleasure to have work done by him and we plan to come back! It is most certainly worth the almost four hour drive from Miami! Walk ins welcome and u can also make appointments as well. My grandfather, the greatest man I've ever known, recently passed away. So naturally (well for me at least) I wanted to get a tattoo in his honor. After seeing some of his work with realism, I contacted Bodah, who I heard of from my girlfriend. It was really great that he too was excited about my tattoo and understood its significance. A nice change of pace from my past experiences. So on my spring break from medical school, I flew in to Florida to meet Bodah at Armadillo Reds. Soon enough we began what would end up being a 7 hour session and the greatest tattoo I have ever had the "pleasure" of enduring. Bodah really came through and the results are impressive. Red himself even came to admire the results of his work. In addition to being a great artist, he's also a super cool guy. During those 7 hours I got to know a lot about him. For example, he's been through a lot of crazy stuff having served in the special forces. I tried to let him focus on his work most of the time, but it's hard not to talk for 7 hours. For some artists, it's like pulling teeth, but Bodah was always happy to talk or tell stories. (Some advice: Rock/alternative is the music of choice for the shop, so if that's not something you're into bring you're own mp3 and headphones). All in all, Bodah is a prime professional. He is honest and will let you know his opinions and advice on your tattoo. That may make some people upset, but he knows his stuff and the results prove so. So if you're going to be in the area and you're looking for a reputable tattoo parlor, you know where to go and whom to seek. But hey, that's just my $0.02. read more

I had a tattoo done almost one year ago it still hasn't completely healed and I followed directions perfectly! Months later I'm stuck with raised ink and a tattoo that is sensitive to hot water. I've seen the work they do on lighter skin but I would never recommend them to someone with darker skin!!!!! read more

Although the shop is small, the location is kind of hidden, I must say this shop is great and you will leave satisfied. I went to this shop one night with a friend of mine as we decided we wanted to get tattoos that evening (I had previously gotten a tattoo here) and we were welcomed by an artist called Tater Tot. When I walked in, I had a very basic idea of what I wanted (all I knew was that I wanted a killer whale). When I told him this, he told me to think about what I really wanted while he tattooed my friend. When it was my turn he was very knowledgeable of where my tattoo would look the best, how it would work, how my muscles are shaped and how that affects the tattoo, etc. In addition, he's super talented, friendly, funny and a great artist. I have to say I'm more than pleased with my tattoo and I will be back to work with Tater Tot to work on my half-sleeve. Highly recommend it! read more

Armadillo Reds has a great reputation that precedes them in the Kissimmee/Orlando area. Bodah did my most recent and largest tattoo. It was a spur of the moment thing. He had an opening in his schedule and I had the time. We threw some ideas back and forth and came up with a CRAZY AMAZING Giger inspired/biomech/eye piece for my thigh, which I am COMPLETELY STOKED ABOUT. It went from, "I just want a tattoo here," to "I want you to do my entire leg." Bodah's style is reminiscent of a painting, classical works of art. Let me not forget to mention how personable, chill and down to earth he is. I always seemed to associate great tattoos to pretentious tattoo artists. I came to realize this was false, and boy was I glad to. bodahink.com (go there. be amazed. be very amazed.) I can write a whole dissertation on how amazing I think Bodah is, and how much I think you should go and see him if you want a totally rad piece of art on your dermis, but I won't. My husband and I stopped in on an whim with that itch and they were great. I got a small piece on the wrist and was very picky about the script and placement, Zach(I believe) was kind and changed it a few times for me until it was perfect. My husband got a piece in his outer calf, I don't remember his artists name, but he did an amazing job as well. Shop is very clean and professional, they are not rude or pushy, and very informative. I originally wanted mine on my collar bone, Zach took the time to explain and even held up a sketch up to my collar bone and we decided my wrist was best. Highly recommend these guys! read more

My boyfriend and I recently moved to Florida from Vermont and we started researching almost immediately to find our new artists down here. We came across Armadillo Reds on Google and saw that they had great reviews so we decided to stop in Saturday and get a feel for the place. We walked in without appointments and immediately got a great vibe from the artists. We started talking with Tater and Zeke and explained what we wanted. It worked out great as I wanted realistic work and my boyfriend wanted traditional (Tater does realistic and Zeke is traditional). My boyfriend and I decided to go out on a limb and see if they could take us that day. Tater and Zeke conferred with each other and said they would be able to take us. They told us it might be a little while as Tater had 2 other clients before us. We decided to just hang out at the shop until it was time for us to get started. We had a great time hanging out with the guys and getting to know them before getting inked. Tater did a big thigh piece for me on Saturday (09/19). I LOVE it. He did an awesome job. He listened to what I wanted, drew it up, made a suggestion which turned out awesome, took his time, and nailed it. I'm totally stoked with the piece of art on my leg. Zeke did a piece on my boyfriend's chest on the same day and he also completely went above and beyond our expectations. Armadillo Reds is an unclean, smelly shop that has no customer service. I got my first tattoo here a few years ago, I have come back through the years and got work done from a couple of the artists (peanut and boda). I had a great experience with them and so naturally I went back to the shop for my next tattoo. What a mistake that was. The artists I wanted no longer worked there, the shop itself was over flowing with trash and dirt. The bathroom that my girlfriend tried to use was so dirty that she didn't even want to hover. The trash created an odor or the shop itself had its own funky smell. We ended up walking out, disgusted with the place and the lack of customer service we received, the people working there seemed too busy to be bothered while I watched one of them scroll through facebook. This shop was once a decent place to get a tattoo but now it's no place I will be returning to. IMO Find yourself a new shop or be okay with an unclean environment. read more
