I found this place from yelp and it has been over 10 years since I got a tattoo and my brother passed December 2021 and it was important for me to get a tattoo of a drawing in a letter he last wrote me. I didn't have a big idea but just that I wanted what he drew to be in his exact writing. I reached out to OG tattoos and immediately learning it was a memorial tattoo they made it a priority and understood the importance and made it just as important to them. I immediately wanted Oscar based on work I have seen and knew he was expensive which he was and I quickly learned I was not paying for someone to give me a tattoo but an ARTIST ! I had a tattoo that I eventually wanted covered and he created this idea that is a masterpiece from something so simple. He covered up my last tattoo with clouds in black and put my brothers picture in white and it was "A photo negative of a message from heaven". They also offer a a free touch up 2 months after and I did want the white touched up because white is white lol but Oscar was too good I wanted another from him so I reach out to get a portrait of my dog and he ACED it. I didn't even notice my reflection taking the pic of my dog in his eyes and Oscar did and applied that. I would go back for any tattoo I want to get... I have been following OG Tattoos on FB for awhile. I happened to have the day off and decided to drive over to see if they had any openings that day. I was greeted by Lisa upstairs. What do you know, I was lucky enough to get an appointment with Oscar, later that afternoon. I was able to work with Oscar on the design of the tattoo, and the result was amazing. So my husband and I were on our Anniversary trip from Las Vegas and we were planning on getting matching tattoos of the Mobius Infinity Arrow on our fingers. We did some research before our trip and decided that OG tattoo was our best option for our expectations. OG Tattoo & Gallery not only met our standards, they exceeded them! As soon as my husband and I walked into the shop, we were greeted and kindly asked to wash our hands and sign the paperwork that is procedural and COVID related waiver forms. They even conducted a quick contactless temperature check. Our artist, Nick, soon after introduced himself and asked us if he could accommodate us with beverages. He even showed us some stencil drawings of what my wanted as well. He was well prepared with the art work we wanted to get done. He told us he would be right back to get us so he could quickly set up. We walked up and the shop was very clean, and you even get your own little room area with the artist. It almost gave you the feeling as if you were at the doctors office. Nick made sure he used clean and sterile tools, and even disinfected the area I had to sit at to get my art work done. I had went first before my husband, and when it was my husband's turn he even had taken the time to break down the area and made sure he had a very clean and sanitized work station for himself and for my husband to sit at. I sent them a picture of a style i liked for a tattoo and they said they can do that. It would take 8 hours or more and 1400-1800$ depending on if i add color or effects. they encouraged me to come early at their start time so i can have an hour for consultation and not be rushed. However when I arrived he had already drawn a piece and was trying to put the stensil on me. It felt so rushed i did not even talk to him at all beforehand. I thought that was pretty annoying. Then my artist said we can take a break and he said be back in 10 minutes maximum because he has another guest he is seeing that day. I was very annoyed at this as they told me i had the full day and i dont want to rush a 1500$ tattoo. As he was finishing the tattoo he asked if i wanted color. I asked for a drawing first because i dont want a permanent decision like that based on a whim. He said he did not think color would look good so he didnt draw it up. He spent 5-10 minutes adding a small amount of color(we had agreed to a small amount beforehand), he did not add any effects like he said he would, and the session took 4 hours instead of the 8-9 they said it was would. Then they told me the charge for that was 2000$ after i got the tattoo. I was in disbelief. I have talked to some of my friends who have full sleeves, full chest, etc and much more experience with tattoos and they said for a piece around 12 inches like that they guessed it would cost 800$ or 1200$ if it was really good. I think i just got taken advantage of and with no explanation why they decided to increase the price so much without letting me know that beforehand and also using half the time during the session than they had previously thought. That seemed so dishonest. On a different note the tattoo looks great and is an amazing piece of art but i will not be going back and i will not recommend this shop to anyone else. read more

Oscar did my tattoo, it was by far the most clean and professional place I've been to. I have 8 other tattoos, from other places but I will only be returning to Oscar now. If I remember correctly what branch, he said he was in the Marines. You can tell his sense of professionalism kind of carries over. My tattoo was a weird piece. A head coming out of a lotus flower with a ship on it's head and a griffin flying around the ship. Crazy Right? Oscar nailed it exactly how I wanted it and the detail is superb. I believe you get what you pay for and Oscar is worth every penny. I find my self constantly giving out his website info and telling people to follow his instagram (which you should too, because the art work they post is awesome!) Another plus? I had the best experience at O.Gs last week on my inner bicep tattoo. I've been looking for a new artist. I heard great reviews online about Oscar Gomez and did my research. The studio is relaxing, clean and comfortable which is important to me. He was also just a really nice person, also important to me. His work and detail was amazing!
