DO NOT BUY their alarm camera system Momento M6 what a waste of money. I bought 2 different phones for the app to work and still does not. My car has been severely damaged and the culprits continue to do so knowing I can't see who is doing it. I spent almost $700. Calling Cook County Sheriffs to have a police report made. The sad thing is it is happening in the genera; parking lot where I live in the Northwest Ritzy Suburbs. read more

I had them install my viper model 5906V remote start system back in early 2015. The system is still working, but I lost the two-way LCD display remote. I ordered a new remote on Amazon and could not get it to pair on my own, though I followed the directions in the user manual and Youtube videos. I stopped by Armando Sounds today (11/28/2022) and had them take a look. It took them 2 minutes to pair not only my new replacement LCD display remote (model 7945V), but my backup remote (model 7654v) that lost its pairing. When I asked how much I owed them, they didn't even charge me. Can you believe that? Talk about customer service! I offered to tip them for their trouble they were too humble to take anything. I had to firmly insist on them taking a mere $10 for their trouble and they took it so I can go on my way. I highly recommend these guys. They really are as good as their 5-star Yelp rating and will return to them anytime I need any to purchase, install or repair audio, remote start/security systems, or tints on any of my vehicles. We had our battery die out on our Infinty SUV and when we replaced it our Viper Remote Starter would not work. We tried to pair back up but no luck. We called Armando Sounds and they said to stop by - no appt needed as it would only take 10 min. When we arrived a gentleman tried to pair it up but had no luck - he had another gentleman take a look at it and within a couple minutes he had it paired up. When we asked what we owed them(we did not buy starter originally from them) he said nothing - which we thought we should have paid them something for the service. Now I know why they have all the great reviews as they care and go above and beyond. After reading so many good reviews about this place, I went there to have a remote starter put on my car. What an excellent place! Mo was helpful, friendly and professional. He explained the difference in prices was pretty much based on how far I plan to be from the car. He determined that I needed the lower cost one. As a female in an auto place, I usually feel like a rip-off just waiting to happen. But not here. My car was ready on time, he showed me how to use the remote and it works perfectly. This place is severely underrated and a long overdue review. They do amazing work. I buy dash cams for my driving school cars all the time and they always professionally install them. Their price is good and they do amazing work on hiding the cables. Whenever there is a small issue, they always tend to adjust it. Recently I bought a Xtrons radio for my BMW 335i and they installed it flawlessly. I just recently installed a reverse camera and again, they fixed the problem it had. LONG TIME customer! I've taken every car I owned since I was 17 to Armando Sounds and listened to their suggestions on creating a custom sound experience in my vehicle. Their attention to detail during their installation is outstanding! I brought a new 2009 Nissan to Armando Sounds (previous location), purchased a Kenwood Receiver, replaced six factory speakers, and got a powered Rockford Fosgate 10" sub. After 14 years (and only 95K on the odometer), the Kenwood receiver stopped powering on. I took it back to Armando Sounds to replace the receiver, the microphone, and the backup camera for another outstanding deal. Don't take chances; installing the head unit and the accessories yourself (splicing wires together and routing the wires from your car battery to your amp) can be a huge chore. So I have a 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL looking for a new Soundsystem. My salesman was Cal. I had a lot of questions and other places I had gone to. I wasn't going to change out my radio and the first thing he said that that's the most important because it has more amps and more power, so I went with a JVC unit and of course I didn't want to load the vehicle up with all the speakers right away I decided to go with the overhead speakers, because as you remove the top sound, probably escapes so I decided to get oversize speakers as he agreed with me. So the system couldn't say how amazing it is. They weren't very pushy about adding everything to my jeep. Of course they said down the road if you like and I agreed with them but the system sounds so amazing and then I met the owner Moe we had some conversations about adding some other things and I said probably later, so as we're sitting in the jeep, the FM sounded horrible he goes oh my God I'm so sorry so apologetic. He ordered something to fix that wasn't the problem at all. He was very frustrated, but wanting to take care of me the customer so as were sitting in the GP googled it, and what he found was I had bought an aftermarket shorter antenna. The problem I had to put on my regular stock antenna. That was the problem. this is why they have yelp pretty much all his reviews were fives that's why they were getting a five you've got a customer for life thank you guys :-). So helpful. read more

I had seen the awesome reviews for this place so they had been my first choice to see if they could help me with some audio/navigation issues I was having with my car. Mohammed came out to my car to check it out. He said he would have to place a couple phone calls and get back to me in a day or two, ok cool. Never heard back in the time range he had given me, so I called him and conveniently he wasn't there at the moment. I left a message and was told he would call me back. Needless to say over a week has passed and nobody ever called. It's fine if you can't help me but at least have the decency to tell me you can't. I initially thought this place was great, this my 5-Star review. However, their work is extremely poor and rushed. I had a new stereo and back-up camera installed. I have a Jeep Wrangler so I was concerned about water damage. Therefore I requested that all connections be soldered and heat shrinked. I even stated that I would pay extra but they said that they would do it free of charge.... Well they didn't. I came to find out that when hooking up my back-up camera, the technician obviously didn't know what he was doing. The technician spliced in to every wire connected to my rear tailight /brake harness to see which wire would activate the camera (i.e. The brake wire). Instead of just doing a 2 minute search online or reading the manual to see which color wire was for the brakes. Well once he figured it out he loosely taped all the splices into the other wires that he made. Well guess what, moisture got to those connections leaving me without brake lights on that one side. I didn't notice until I was pulled over by the police and given a $100 ticket. You get what you pay for. I tried to save a couple bucks on installation by shopping around and now am stuck with a $100 ticket and will have to bring my car somewhere and pay for it to be repaired. This shop literally ruined my vehicle and flat out lied to me. read more

These guys know what they're doing. I had my remote starter installed for 2 years now and I have ZERO issues on my 2008 Subaru Legacy. Its also FREE to remove your unit if ever decide to get a new vehicle. But be ready to pay a heafty fee for installation. This is why I'm only giving this a 4 star. If you don't ever plan on removing your unit on your car this is the place to go. But if you plan on switching vehicles, you may want to reconsider other options. read more

These guys are awesome. During the process of a complicated install they were doing for me (on equipment that I brought to them), they figured out that the specifications outlined by the manufacturer were wrong. Instead of stopping there and telling me I was on my own, after multiple calls w/the manufacturer they figured out a workaround themselves using some additional parts that they they didn't even charge me for. While I was waiting, I also had the opportunity to observe how they treated other customers, and it was with nothing but respect and understanding... even in one case where a walk-in off the street was in the middle of some sort of mental episode and was not making any sense. Got the basic remote starter installed yesterday, and so far so good. I didn't shop around--I was looking for someone who could put it in that day--so I don't know if they are the cheapest, but I'll tell you this: I am glad I spent my money there. Not only are they friendly, helpful at explaining the different options, and a local business, but they also seem like really good guys. While I was in there, a woman came in a little panicked because she had a job interview in half an hour and her car was snowed in. She was just looking for some help. He told her no problem, he'd send his guys out and she could wait in the store. It had nothing to do with car starters or installation, but, for me, it was an excellent judge of character, which gave me faith in their work.
