I also called the manufacturer of my remote starter and was told that there were two wires that were crossed to the wrong terminals and that it would be impossible for it to have worked before and then it just inverse itself now. I agreed and told her that it needed to be fixed. She reluctantly went into the shop to speak to the technician, and he came out all angry and rude. He opened my car and started flipping wires around, and in the same time was having an argument in Spanish with the girl who works there... and right in front of me, the customer! I can't even remember if I've seen such piss poor customer service. Ultimately, the remote start was installed and works. There were some wires hanging out of my dash, which I had to push back in myself... and there's also a dirty foot print on my leather seat, and for some odd reason, my right headlight is no longer working. I should have just refused to pay for this awful service, but the job was completed so I did. He even helped me connect my phone to the stereo Bluetooth when I picked up my car to verify it works before I paid. Note that it's cash only. If you order parts from Crutchfield, make sure you get all the correct adapters too. Gold Sound has an inventory of speakers/stereo systems too if you don't want to bring your own parts.
