This was my first time visiting Armando's. Everything was clean and tidy. I came in to order take out and waited about 10-15 min! I got a small Pepperoni with bell pepper with fries and it was absolutely delicious!! Best pizza I've had in a while!! The workers were friendly and very helpful! I LOVE Armando's Pizza! I have been coming to this place for at least 20 years. The pizza is so delicious and the owner, Ms. Nelly is the sweetest! Her two employees, who have been there as long as I can remember, are also very nice and attentive! I can only comment on the pizza, because I do not go for anything else. I always get a pepperoni and ham. My husband likes a healthier option and asks for the gluten free crust with chicken and veggies. I've tried a slice or two and it's delicious as well. Based on all the reviews I was a bit skeptical of going to this place since it took me awhile to find it ... But boy was I glad I did. I walked in and Got me the Armando's deluxe and yall You cannot compare this pizza joint to any other place. If your looking for authentic pizza this place is the place to go. Pizza was delicious, pizza fries were not so great. In future I would do fries, cheese/pepperoni, fries, repeat. They dumped all the cheese and pepperoni on top so of course the rest of the fries were just naked. Also would probably serve with marinara sauce instead of ketchup to make it more appealing. While the regular pizza at Armando's is nothing to write home about, the Sicilian-style pizza is unbelievable. The crust is crunchy and soft all at once (my mouth is watering just thinking about it). The calzones and strombolis are very good as well. The owners are usually behind the counter at the restaurant, and are very friendly and hospitable. Growing up in Chicago, pizza was a weekly thing. The best pizza I have found in the upper valley is here. I wasn't a big fan of New York style but those big, floppy, pie shaped slices won me over. My usual order is sausage, mushroom, and olives or onion. A couple complaints, a better beer selection would be nice. The salad is ok. I'm not certain how to improve it. read more

The pizza and French fries I had were very good for what I paid. The pizza was a good quality pizza but there are some ingredients that I think need some loving. The pepperoni in my personal opinion needed to be crisper. The sauce could use more flavor but was still tasteful. I would defiantly return to this restaurant to try the other menu items. Well, it is safe to say that it is an okay overall experience. The people are nice and the place is always clean but I have had way better pizza than Armando's. The crust is amazing but the pepperoni is not the best quality hence why I prefer the cheese pizza there. If your'e in town I would definitely recommend this place but it isn't my first choice of pizza. read more

I ran across this small, family-owned restaurant by accident. The food is homemade by the owner (a very nice lady) who told us she has been at this location for 16 years . The place is clean and homey. It's decorated with a crafty touch - the light fixtures are made from empty wine bottles. The food is really good with a Chicago flair. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice Italian restaurant that serves a little of everything : lasana, cheesesteak, stromboli, calzones and on and on. read more

Not very good, had better pizza at pizza hut. Got soggy underbaked crust. We were uncomfortable the entire time, the lady only refilled drinks once and the cups were filled about 3/4 of the way, soda was flat too. Felt like they were really trying to cut corners. First of all, let me say that I've eaten here over 20 times over the past few years...my absolute favorite is their hot deli sandwich called the "Leave it to Us." It is AMAZING. They use Boar's Head meats, the bread is always perfect, and even the lettuce in the sandwich is always impressive (LOL well, it's ALWAYS very crispy and fresh). Their calzones and strombolis are very good as well. You can tell that the owners of this place really care about what they're putting in their food. While there is no changing table, my toddler really likes their calzones. read more

Hadn't been to Armando's in some time and the food is really good but the customer service has always been an issue since Armando has let other family members run the restaurant. As usual the staff is too busy talking to one regular customer and ignoring all the other customers. A customer decided to refill his drink by going behind the counter because he was not being attended to and the owners daughter kicked him out. This would have never happened if she would have simply attended to all the customer instead of talking to one customer for over 5 minutes. This is very sad because it was completely preventable. It was so much better when Armando was running the restaurant. read more

Food was subpar, soggy, and forgettable. Service was insulting. The older women who was our server was short with us, and rude. Asked us what we would like to drink, my husband said coke and she talked over him to list all the drinks. I understand coke is not served there, a simple "is pepsi ok?" response would have been sufficient. She then went on to question our choices for toppings while my husband and I were having a discussion. My husband suggested a certain style of pizza and I shook my head. She interjected asking why it was I didn't want to try the (more expensive) pizza, did I not like it?, had I EVEN tried it before? All of this was said in a snarky defensive tone. I responded with, I only want pepperoni. She sighed heavily and walked away. I did not feel valued as a customer, and that women's entitled attitude put me off from ever going back again. When asked for a to go box, pizza was put on a paper plate and then placed in a brown paper bag before being manhandled with ungloved hands. I don't like having other people that handle money touch my food, very unsanitary. Not worth a revisit and interacting in that toxic environment. read more
