I went into this restaurant wanting a simple Greek salad. No olives, no peppers. Easy. Calm. Not a challenge. What I got was absolutely NOT a Greek salad. It was a mountain of lettuce -- and not even the good kind. Greek salads don't even use lettuce, but this one had enough to open a petting zoo. Then they tossed in: * Random carrots (since when are carrots Greek??) * Feta sprinkled so lightly it looked scared * Tomatoes chopped into tiny crumbs like someone panicked while cutting salsa * Dry Parmesan stick shreds from the cheap Caesar salad kit at H-E-B There was nothing Greek about it. Not the taste, not the ingredients, not the vibe -- nothing. So I politely asked if they could take it off the bill because it wasn't what I ordered. That's when the dueña came out, suddenly and dramatically, insisting: "It IS Greek. I worked with Greeks." Ma'am... You could work with Zeus himself -- THIS salad is still not Greek. And the wildest part? The restaurant was empty. Not a single customer anywhere. Just us, the chairs, and a couple of salt shakers watching the whole thing unfold like, "Girl... just take it off the bill." Meanwhile, my table froze mid-first bite. Nobody even got to enjoy their food because the whole vibe died right there. Only the teen finished his plate -- silently. No "mmm," no "this is good," nothing. Just survival mode chewing. The bread tasted okay but looked like garlic Texas toast pretending to be Italian. At the end of the day, I STILL don't know if the food here is good or not because the entire dinner turned into the Great Greek Salad Argument of 2025 over lettuce, carrots, and fake Greek Parmesan crumbs. Ordered a delivery from Grubhub. Less than impressed. Highly disappointed. Put special instructions on two burgers and they were totally messed up the fries were cold and limp and not a good portion... paid $4 more for extra meat on the $14 Italian beef sandwich plus $1.50 for a 2oz cup of hot peppers. Fried mushrooms had a total of 10 pieces for $7.25. You do the math. There are many places to choose from, I do not recommend this be one of your choices and it will not be one of mine in the future. read more

My husband and I tried this place out for the first time. We were surprised it was empty during lunch time on a weekend. We both went for pastas. I thought my chicken Alfredo tasted like I could've made it at home. In other words; not particularly special or delicious. My husband loved the Italian sausage in his dish. He would definitely go back and eat that dish again. If I were to go back I'd like to try something different, but the chances of me going back are slim. The food was great. I had the Reuben sandwich, my wife the spaghetti with meatballs. The salad was fresh and the dressing tasted homemade. Staff were very friendly and courteous. Had the Calamari appetizer and the Neptune Puzza. Calamari is so so but the Neptune was excellent. The Neptune has a white sauce (needs more garlic), shrimp, scallops and crab. Very spacious place, a little hidden in the plaza but still a great place to eat at! Menu items looks authentic and food was great and simple to choose from. Very friendly staff, there were maybe 2 other tables inside with us but the food took forever to be served. Food was okay but it wasn't amazing. I've given this place a chance three times! And each time it has been a disappointment. First one was in Weslaco. Meh. Second and third time were at N. McAllen. Second visit: waiter was a young man that was very slow, he wore a mask, but had a long beard, which I thought needed trimming because hairs were protruding from the sides and bottom. Very unpleasant sight. The music playing was loud hard rock. Imagine. Third visit: the food arrived cold. I told the waitress and she said that the plate was sitting there while the second guest's food was being prepared. The music again was loud but this time it was country music. The waitress who initially took our order was so nice and helpful. The reason for the low rating is on the menu it says 30 min for a deep dish. We ordered at 6:13pm and we didn't get our food until an hour later (7:15pm)The older lady that came to help our first waitress was unhelpful and made excuses (wish I would've gotten names). The crust was perfect and the size of the toppings were exactly the way I like... old world. If you recognize the name, you know it's all old, traditional family recipes that have been handed down. just now NEW Went here for the first (and last) time with big hopes. Ordered artichoke dip which was much too greasy. Then we ordered a medium hand tossed pizza, a fettuccine alfredo with mushrooms, pasta fagioli soup and a bratwurst dog. Mind you we were the only customers in the place after the first 5 minutes of being there. Well it took them 30min to come out and say they didn't have the bratwurst so I declined a replacement. 20 additional minutes later the pizza which at any reputable pizzeria with a moderately decent oven should take 10min at most to bake finally came out. The fettuccine still wasn't ready. When asked why it's taking so long I'm told that the pizza guy in the back stops everything to make the hot dogs. Um, the hot dog that you didn't have and took 30min to figure that out? Finally the fettuccine comes out and guess what...no mushrooms. The pizza was nothing special. I would've been happier with a frozen H‑E‑B pizza. It would've had more flavor. The fettuccine was bland. The parmesan is definitely sub par and flavorless so adding it to the fettuccine and pizza did nothing but make everything gritty. The Alfredo sauce is either store bought or is made with that flavorless parm. I've made better Alfredo sauce with Kraft Parmesan and cheap heavy cream. Not only that but after the waitress is aware of my displeasure after asking why someone who came in 30min after us had already received their fettuccine when we hadn't, she has the nerve to several times ask if it was worth the wait and if we could tell it was made from scratch. Yeah, some of it was made from scratch and no it was not worth it. The bottom of the hand tossed pizza was doughy. I get better crust from my old plain oven at home. To top it off there's a $2.50 service fee that they add on. Oh and guess what, you losers forgot my soup which you charged for. Wtf? I will never go back to this place and will tell anyone I know not to waste their time and money. It's not a wonder there's never any cars parked outside this place. Keep this up and you'll be out of business within a year. You put crap in and you get crap out. read more
