I was told I needed new rear brakes, so I planned to replace them myself on Saturday, 12/29/25. When I went to start the job, my security socket was nowhere to be found. So much for my Saturday project. The shop was closed for the weekend, so I couldn't resolve it. I met with the owner, Dan, on Monday. He ordered a new set of security lugs in hopes that the key would work. It did not. The tech had misplaced my original key during the brake inspection. Needless to say, it was a major inconvenience--and I didn't receive so much as an apology from the owner. This was my experience as a first-time customer. He new Midas was BS-ing and I went to him. My engine was still fine! I just needed new spark plugs which he believed Midas technicians damage by pulling it out the improper way and new great quality coils which I should have don vs buying from Ebay. Tow driver said I can get my vehicle at 8 am for 315$, if I had not heard my car getting towed & didn't actively seek out their information I'd have no idea it was towed. I also had to wait outside after 8 am to get my vehicle because the driver told me the incorrect time for their summer hours. Based on the costs for other Towing companies in twin cities, 350$ seems excessive for less than 24 hours. I checked their website for the hours & Google, it lists them as 24 hours which isn't true. Even more insulting the cost quoted was wrong it was 396$ which is not only far more it compounds another issue. They only accept cash, but don't give change which is unacceptable to me. If you're a cash only business, how do you have no change available? How do you charge 396$ for less than 24 hours, provide 0 change, when you set your prices that aren't rounded up or down to the nearest interval of 10$ or 20$. That's extremely unprofessional & disrespectful to customers. I'd be less harsh in my review if they could at least provide change. This isn't a food stall on the side of the road, you should have a proper register with a reasonable amount of change instead of actively stealing from customers.
