I have tears in my eyes as I write this review. I cannot express the am of gratitude I have for Armbruster Florists. Today is a dark day for our family as we lay to rest a young man that meant the world to us. I woke up and remembered I forgot to order flowers and panicked. I am not from the Middletown area so I called my local florist I use and they referr me to Armbrusters. Mr Armbruster (I think Matthew sorry I was panicked) was the most amazing human being. He not only helped but he didn't try to over charge. I gave him a range and he went at the lower level. Who does that??? An incredible person does!! We needed to send flowers for someone in our office in San Francisco, CA. I called Armbruster Florist because they were local to where the funeral would be held. I actually grew up in Fairfield, Ohio, myself. Small world. I was assisted by Gabriel, who was very helpful in making a decision on what arrangements I had to choose from. Since I was not able to go in and look at the selections, he was invaluable. Gabriel also looked up when the viewing would be so I did not have to bother contacting our grieving contractor. I called the store this morning to order something different for a Memorial Service. After talking to the owner on the phone, we decided to go with a beautiful afghan. There are 3 different prices for the afghans depending on how they are displayed. With the most expensive one being on an easel with flowers. The owner honestly told me that most people go with the afghan folded with a ribbon around it. This being said I saved over $60.00 and the owner could have made more from me. I feel that this is an honest florist and I am extremely happy with the service he provided from the time he answered the phone. I guess that is why they have been in business for over 75 years. read more

I found Armbruster Florist from a Google search for Monroe OH when I needed a florist there. I called them about 12:30 pm on a Friday and talked briefly to Matthew. The arrangement was delivered that same afternoon to my sister. She e-mailed me a photo, and it was a nice-looking arrangement, very full and colorful. We were both pleased, and I was happy to save money by not using FTD. Now with Yelp and Google, consumers are able to find good services like florists for example online and call them directly. The business gets a larger share of the total price, and the customer gets more for their money without the wire transfer fee. read more
