We called a couple of companies including Armor-Kote based on the recommendations of neighbors who had their floor installed a year ago and were pleased with how it held up. The quote is for the whole job, they didn't add annoying up charges like the the stem wall, which other companies don't include. We used the Supreme High Gloss in Dakota Grey, which looks just beautiful and holds up to tire marks. The guys arrived as promised and the floor was done in a few hours. PROMISED to start 6am Monday Sept 9! As they instructed I completely empty my garage and had the drive way cleared to facilitate their trucks by 6am! Now the bad news, they called and said their garage door would not open and on two different occasions gave me different excuses as to why they could not complete my floor sealing. They flat out lied to me with numerius excuses and attempts to reschedule my job until Friday do to their scheduling. Under the circumstances i't seems to me I would become their number one pritority. But obviously not in their eyes! The person who called needs a hugh dose of customer relations and business decorum. I'm giving this company a 5 star rating not because they did the job, but because they didn't. The estimator came out and gave me a quote that was right in range of what I expected and because of a cancellation they could do my floor the next day. The crew showed up as scheduled and began to grind down my rough concrete floor and patch cracks and divots. As it turned out the center of my floor was crumbling and they stopped work and called the owner of the company. The crew chief told me to call the owner which I did and he told me that they could finish the job, but with the large bad patch in the concrete there would be adhering failure in the not too distant future. My alternative is to have the floor thin-coated and overlaid with PVC flooring. What I want to point out is that many companies would have done the job and let the chips fall where they may. This company showed real integrity. They lost $1550 and the time and effort already put in and didn't try to charge me anything for their outlay. As I said before they demonstrated true integrity and if I ever need to do something like this again, I will go out of my way to use their company. read more

My neighbor recently had his garage floor (circa 1976) done by Armor-Kote. Coincidentally I was researching one-day epoxy companies to do mine. Armor-Kote passed the social media review test and had a 5-Star Better Business Bureau rating with no complaints. I requested three quotes. Armor-Kote was not the cheapest. I followed up references, but the final determiner was my neighbor's flawless floor. Not an easy task on older houses and they had to field engineer an anomaly or three. When our day arrived, the crew was on time, got to work, and caused no hassles. Thought we hit a homer. But next day when we viewed the garage floor from the inside door, a defect in the finish glared back at us. Called Shane and sent a picture of the defect. He sent a crew the next day to see if they could sand it out. They could not. He ordered them to return the next day and remove the floor and reinstall it. No arguments, no excuses, no blame game. From the beginning when Shane came to provide an estimate, I knew this was the right company to install epoxy flooring in our garage. He was prompt, professional and straight forward on the price and product descriptions. Then, three weeks later, the installation crew (Mo and Alex) arrived and began the coating process. They were GREAT. Mo walked me through the process which involves many steps and made suggestions regarding some of the issues for the existing concrete floor and stem walls. This was an all-day job and they were very careful clean-up at the end of day before leaving. We are in the waiting stage (48 hours) but the floor looks amazing. Picked Armor-Kote based on the great Yelp ratings and reviews, and so glad I did. Wow, really impressed with the job they just completed for us--Shane came out to do the on-site quote and gave the price and install date and they came ready to work exactly as scheduled (to the minute!) and charged exactly as quoted. Lucas & crew did an amazing job to turn our boring concrete garage floors into a showroom surface! Flawless coverage of the entire floor, stem walls, & raised areas. They coated right up to cabinets and around the water softener--no need to remove it, though if you wanted to go through that trouble, they could do underneath too...but I didn't and can't even tell. The color chips are fully saturated in the coating--no skimping as I've seen in some other inferior jobs. Wish we did this a long time ago! Lucas did a great job explaining the work and keeping me updated on the progress via texts. They knocked out the 2x 2 car garages in a single day as planned, and cleaned up before they left. Asked Lucas about the post-tension slab stamps in the concrete and whether they would still be visible after coating; he said they'd be somewhat obscured but still visible; I included a picture of one of them and you can see that it still shows through (really important that post-tension slabs don't get cut or drilled). There's some odor during curing; to be expected, but that was gone in 24 hours. While they were not the cheapest option, they most certainly provided the best customer service and the finished product was well constructed!
