Pro-tip: Do a full round before stopping to purchase anything because many of the farm-fresh vegetable and egg vendors have similar offerings and I regretted stopping at the first one I saw before checking others. We also grabbed some coffee (long line, but worth it) as well as the Narragansett Creamery stall for some of their award-winning yogurt. They also have cheese and other dairy products, so make sure this is a stop for your trip! Overall a great market in a large park with plenty of shady trees. We'll be back!

I've been here for dog adoption events, farmers markets, flea, Halloween festivities, food trucks, flowers, coffee, tacos, beer, and so much more. There is some street parking available and two different lots to pick from. On busy days, it might be challenging to find parking but you'll always get a spot eventually.

I am glad I had a chance to visit before Thanksgiving to stock up on some goodies! If you've been to Sweet Berry Farm in Middletown, Four Town is kind of similar, although the rustic farmhouse-chic shop does not have a prepared foods counter. However, they more than make up for it with all the amazing vegetables and fruits grown onsite. I was very impressed with the Honeycrisp Apples and Butternut Squash, as well as their wide selection of house made jellies and salad dressings. In addition to Four Town's slate of offerings, they also showcase other local vendors such as Wrights Dairy Farm's milk and cakes and Venda Ravioli's frozen fresh pasta and sauces. Four Town also carries fresh flowers and greenery that is holiday-ready - Christmas Trees and decorative wreaths and evergreen garlands. The team is friendly and offers excellent assistance in recommendations and recipe ideas- everyone we interacted with was delightful. This is a great stop along the way to lunch or dinner in neighboring Warren or Bristol, and a lovely way to spend a weekend afternoon!

But there is always a variety of vendors- local farms, a bakery or two, some other random(ish) vendors (honey, bath products, the Salvation Army was there one week). If you're over at Slater Park- either to visit the dog park, go for a walk, or go out on the Swan Boats, take a few minutes to head over and check out this little market, to take home some yummy, local, goodies!

So if there are beautiful tomatoes and they are $4 each, I say don't buy five. Buy one. Slice it up. And eat it on top of a piping hot bagel with a swoosh of cream cheese. Or perhaps you have a source for really fresh buffalo mozzarella. And that is coming from a guy who is on a budget. Plus this place had a very peaceful vibe. There were kids playing in the grass. A guy playing guitar. A woman knitting. And everyone seemed happy.

Apparently, this farm gets a lot of local restaurant business, and I had just missed the big rush of restaurant owners that buying at the stand, so next time I plan on making it out earlier to get first dibs on the fresh picks of the day.

Today the service and product was again great. I pulled in today not realizing they were not opened yet for the season. It didn't matter and I was waited on and sold the items. I highly recommend this place. Gamino park is a minute down the street for a beautiful walk.
