SAG will pull a franchise license for wrongdoing and the biggest wrong any professional representative can do is take funds from talent above the 10% permitted by law. PLEASE research which firm you are talking to or about before posting a fraudulent review. I sent an email inquiry after the newspaper said this company was looking for extras for the movie "Joyride" filming in New Orleans in January 2022. Someone named Kirstie texted me shortly after. Her text listed 9 dates and told me to let her know ASAP if I was interested and could work those dates; she also said be prepared to work at least 4 dates in between. I told her I needed to confirm schedule changes and would text her back the next day. I made several major changes to my schedule to clear availability and texted her back the following morning to confirm that I was still interested and my schedule was open. I didn't receive a response. After the weekend, I sent a second text asking for an update. No response. I then emailed the main office to ask if there were any updates. They said they were sorry for the delay but were extremely busy, and production picked another person for the role. They also said that they would have several more parts open but never contacted me again. I am understanding that production picked another person for the role. I am less understanding that Kirstie made what appeared to be an offer via text, caused me to change my schedule substantially, and then ghosted me. She should have clarified in her text that it was not a firm offer before I cleared my schedule and that the final decision would be made by production. Also, it only takes seconds to respond to a text. At a minimum, she should have responded to my texts once she knew another person had the part. My experience with this company is that they lack transparency, clear communication, and common courtesy for the people they are hiring.

ASI is a company that screens tv shows, commercials, etc for their clients. I have been coming to…read moreASI for years now. It's a great way to make a little extra money every couple of months or so. You are invited through a third party screening company, who generally call every 3-6 months, depending on what the clients are looking for. They have a large free parking lot on the north side of Chandler and Laurel Canton Blvd. The building is nice and the employees are super friendly and courteous. Attire has always been BUSINESS CASUAL. Jeans are ok as long as they have no holes and are nice. No logos or advertising may be worn. When you arrive, you show your ID and check-in. They hand you a questionnaire with questions the phone screener has gone over with you ahead of time. You turn it in and your answers are checked with the answers you provided beforehand. Once everyone has been checked in, they will hand you your questionnaire back with a number. That number gets you into the theater. You will be asked to power off your cell phone completely once you go to the theater and will not be permitted to turn it back on until you have received your check (for cash). Once inside the theater you sit in nice plush theater seats where you will have two giant flat screens and two way mirrors. A short instructional on how to use the control in your chair and away you go. Afterwards you are called into small focus groups. Sometimes they have more people than needed and you will be held behind and still paid the full amount and can go home early. Focus groups usually don't last more than an hour. It's a small room with a long table and comfy chairs and two way mirror again. A serious of questions are asked and your honest thoughts and opinions are recorded. They thank you and excuse you and you take you're number they gave you earlier and exchange for a check for cash. Easy peasy! Don't forget to respectful of others opinions. There are never any right or wrong answers. Come dressed for business. It's just not ok to be in shorts or tank tops or workout attire. They really frown on that and although they might not send you home because of it that day, They WILL notify your recruiter and delete you from any call backs. So be professional people! They are paying you very well! Wish I could do this full time! The people here are all so friendly and the atmosphere is so welcoming. Enjoy!

I've only ever had one f'n name, and if these imbeciles went by driver's license number instead of name, they could avoid a lot of headaches. But to be "blacklisted"... I feel like that's a particularly poisonous dagger to the back, considering what I've been through to help these ungrateful, coniving shits. I've witnessed many nefarious business tactics, most of which intentionally rip off its clients by bringing in paid actors as "objective viewers" to the content we're being paid to review. I've been constantly decieved and lied to by fake recruiters using stolen identities like Emmy winning sound editor "Walter Newman" 'and Ive been subjected to some pretty pathetic behavior at ASI. Despite that, I've always been professional and subjective, but I've been a working actor and member of SAG since 2000. Steven Callahan knew this as did his staff. They're just desperate to get butts in seats at the cost of their client. Deception is reality here in Hollyweird.

One of the popular spots still open and keeping us in the room. So nice to not always have to tape, and it's great being able to really MOVE in the space (lots of these commercials have a physical need. I've had to faux-shoot a basketball and show my dribbling skills twice this year at Dan Bell. Definitely couldn't do that in my living room). There are so many advantages to a space like this, and I appreciate the value I've gotten here. My only gripe with the location is parking. It can really be tough sometimes, especially when that side street is closed off, but we make it work. The space is always clean, bathrooms are always clean, there's a water fountain (omg, the amount of offices that don't provide water for people who need their VOICES to audition is insane), and always a casting associate at a desk checking people in. There's always a nice flow, and I've never been waiting in a queue for too long. Hoping this place is around for decades to come!
