Even though it hurt to move my head too fast, I was really hesitant to go see a chiropractor. One bad back cracker can really make you think that all chiropractors are just quacks, which has been until recently my general opinion of the field. I actually get queezy hearing that "crick-crack" of bones popping that makes may people feel relieved. Whereas I knew had fairly severe symptoms given that I could hardly walk upright and I knew that by back "hurt", I didn't know why or what to do about it. I got a massage thinking it might be muscular, but it didn't help all that much. Well, one awesome visit to a professional and my faith completely reversed. Dr. Armstrong really knows his stuff. He checked the alignment of my back (by looking at my ankles???) and within minutes of analyzing me and after a few questions and podding thumbs zeroed in on an inflamed vertebrae in my lower back. This took him all of two or three minutes, the guy knows his stuff. Dave hoked my up to some device looking like an 80's Russian torture machine, twisted my legs til that horrible popping noise exploded from my spine, moved my head around (which was nice, as I was having a hard time doing it myself) and I actually walked out of his office after 20 minutes upright, and with a new found belief system. Told me to back off the running, to do some core exercises, and that he wanted me to come back a couple more times as soon as possible. But here's the thing-- I actually got better instantly! 10 days and three visits later, he told me I should be good to go, and event though I wanted to come back once more he didn't think it would be necessary-- that alone was testimony to his character. He actually made me better, and thus no longer in need of his services! At this point I'm a total freaking convert, and like most new converts can hardly help preaching my my faith in chiropractic work. I have annoyed my co-workers, the guys at the auto body shop, the grocer... I keep on telling anybody I overhear complaining about back pain to go see this guy!! So I'll just post it here and keep quiet at the gas station, but if you are in the North Bay region and have any back issues, you really gotta go see this guy! read more

Woke up one morning with a stiff neck and didn't think too much of it as I had them before, but this time it was different. After 7 days it started to get worst and worst to the point where I was feeling sharp pain shooting up and down my neck to my arms almost every 2 secs, so I looked up on yelp and found doctor Armstrong. Great guy and really knows his trade. It's been almost 2 weeks and I feel a lot better. The pain shooting down my arm is gone and I don't have pain when I move my head from left to right and up and down. His office is only open on Monday, Wednesday and Friday but he was always there for me on his days off and even took me in on his day off to help me with my pain which is great and really shows his true character. He really cares for his patients. When I called him on his days off for either advice or an emergency visit, never once got his voice mail. He picks up his phone and takes the calls. Very impressed and a great find. Would definitely recommend him to all my customers who are experiencing neck or back pain. I first saw Dr. Armstrong two years ago to be treated for nerve pain in my neck / shoulder / upper back. He came highly recommended by an MD whom I trust and respect. It was my first visit ever to a chiropractor, and I didn't really know what to expect. The immediate relief was amazing! I walked out of his office after one treatment feeling 80% better, and I continued to improve over the next few days until I was pain-free. Recently I had the same problem, probably due to bad posture habits at work. I went back to Dr. Armstrong for two visits, and once again I am pain-free. I have been going to Dr. Armstrong for over 6 years now and I won't go anywhere else. I am impressed with his ability to simply feel my neck and immediately know the spot that needs adjustment. I have been to other chiropractors in the past and they rely on inaccurate machines to do the diagnosis and then they just crack away sometimes making the problem worse. Doctor Armstrong has been treating me for about five years for my history of lower back episodes. Through-out my treatment, I have found him to incredibly knowledgeable, and compassionate. I have been treated by many chiropractors over the years, and he is by FAR the best!. Miracle worker!!! After having chronic pain in my arm for years, and seeing a terrible chiropractor two to three times per week for months it was not getting any better-- actually was becoming worse.
