They quoted me $9,500 for removing and replacing the broken tiles. Two of them worked for less than 6 hours, used a single roll of the cheapest peel and stick roofing material you can buy (supposedly put over a "snow shield" which is just a thin sheet of metal from what I can tell). When I asked for an itemized list of labor and materials they told me that they have to pay $77K a year for a special license to work on asbestos tiles and that they really needed the check ASAP for payroll. I looked it up after the fact and there is no license that cost that much! I deeply regret paying them.

They came to finish the work, but this time were abusive and confrontational when I asked they wear better masks that I would provide if needed in my house, like it wasn't my house, my choice. They never considered that I may need the extra protection from covid, just yelled at me and left. They were hotheaded, rude and ultimately, mediocre. If you want some drama and mansplaining from your general contractor, you found just the guy.
