Was supposed to be at my house to do any estimate this afternoon. They were a no call no show. Not a good first impression.

When I raised concerns, the responses were slow and didn't really address the problems in a meaningful way. Jeremy Sager (owner) is also a despicable human being, disrespectful, rude, inconsiderate, greedy, etc. Never rely on JKS for anything.

The poor people parked in the Handicap spot had a little boy in a wheel chair who looked to be around four or five, who appeared to have Cerebral Palsy. It was raining and they couldn't get the poor little guy in the van because this guy parked so close in the yellow lines. The people had to go in and ask for someone to come move it. The guy comes out with an attitude saying "looks like a perfectly good spot to me. Looks like a spot." The dad of the kid was rightfully getting really annoyed and this guy was being a complete jerk, even though he was obviously wrong and caused this little guy to be in the rain while they tried to get him to move. The mom looked like she was about to cry. I heard the guy say "What are you going to do call my boss? Go for it. Call my boss" and then laughed. I looked on the website and he appears to be the owner, which is why he didn't care. I didn't call because I figured it would fall on def ears. Before you support JKS Home Improvement, I suggest you think about the kind of person you are dealing with!!! If he can be so rude to parents of a wheelchair bound CHILD after he was the one who parked in a spot he shouldn't have, imagine how he's going to treat a customer!!! It took everything I had not to get involved, but it would not have been good if I did!

They quoted me $9,500 for removing and replacing the broken tiles. Two of them worked for less than 6 hours, used a single roll of the cheapest peel and stick roofing material you can buy (supposedly put over a "snow shield" which is just a thin sheet of metal from what I can tell). When I asked for an itemized list of labor and materials they told me that they have to pay $77K a year for a special license to work on asbestos tiles and that they really needed the check ASAP for payroll. I looked it up after the fact and there is no license that cost that much! I deeply regret paying them.

The original construction of this house was not up to the current acceptable standards , and therefore would not be up to code. Dale took photos, and did a live video walkthrough of the attic area so my husband and I could see the problems , and what was needed to repair this structure. My husband is a licensed general contractor. This job which was a large construction project was done professionally, and in a timely manner, as we were needing this completed before the northeast weather. Yes, we would recommend Dale and his crew to anyone. Kenneth , Dawn Lebbon

Andy had given us a fair estimate to build a bathroom in our basement. One of the reasons why we hired Andy was because of his promised timeframe in starting and completing. We had just moved to NY and bought our house and we're looking forward to remolding. He gave us a start date of 7/20/20 and completion in three weeks. His 3 weeks turned into 23 weeks and is still not completed. We needed to cut ties with Andy at 23 weeks due to his countless broken promises and endless excuses. We paid Andy half up front which was $4500 and then again three months into the project he had asked for another $2,000 stating he needed to money to complete the job. We paid him in hopes and incentive to complete the job which never happened. Throughout the entire project there was little to NO communication on Andy's end. I continually needed to initiate whether it be text, email or call to see if any of his workers were coming to work on any given day. He either ignored my attempt to communicate or promised 'someone is on their way' or 'they'll be there tomorrow' his typical canned response to pacify us time and time again. I kept track of the hours worked, averaged at most 5 hours a week. We were beyond patient and understanding knowing there was a shortage of supplies as well as employees due to the pandemic. However; this is no excuse as to why we were given endless broken promises next to no communication. If I did not initiate I would not hear from Andy. I asked him nicely if he would please communicate to give us heads up as to what day and time if any they would be working so I could schedule my day accordingly. Never did he commit to a day nor time, it was always a guessing game and hoping someone would come to work on our bathroom. The workplace was in complete disarray and mess throughout the 23 weeks they worked. One instance, they did not cover the doorway with plastic while sanding drywall therefore, our personal belongings in the basement were covered in dust. This included a lot of hanging clothing which all needed to be washed. Another instance, I had picked out a toilet to be installed and had emailed Andy. He assured me he received and gave the ok. After installing the toilet, it was not what I chose. I then contacted Andy via text. He acknowledged it and told me he had given the toilet I chose to his employee to pick up. Again, told him it was not the correct toilet, he then ignored and did not respond to my text any further. I then bring it up again about a month later, he proceeds to tell me it was a special order. If that were the case, he should have told me before installing and he should have not ignored my text. It's a standard toilet, we do not need or did we request a special order toilet. I can assume he was not being honest and just didn't want to make it right. We needed to hire someone to clean the dust from the drywall, remove the garbage that was left by Andy and pay for a dumpster. My reason for this review to to hopefully save the next person from being taken advantage of. This was suppose to be a fun and exciting experience. It was nothing but a complete nightmare which was beyond frustrating and stressful to say the least. We are now left with an unfinished bathroom.

At first impressions he was kind and cordial and seemed quite responsive to inquiries es and requests. He was hired for both roof shingle replacement and siding replacement in May 2021. August 2021 the roof shingles were completed and he was paid in full. After that day tried to follow up on when the siding of the house would be completed. I attached pictures of the conversations. There were some circumstances that did occur but as you can see he did not reach out to me to let me know any issues had arisen. Fast foreword to May 2022 when I see someone on my property to learn that the siding replacement will be starting.. May 2021 I sent him this message: Hey Blaze I know what shingles and roof color we would like: Great Barrier D5DL Steel Blue and Pristine Oyster. May 2022 when they have torn down all the siding and start putting up new siding I notice it is not the correct style I sent him this: Hey Blaze I noticed them putting the siding up and saw that the color is right. But I believed we had requested the Dutch Lap style siding, D5DL And it seems that we are getting the traditional beading style D4. His response was he did not know he put the correct order but his "guy" got this and the request style and color are not in stock and our house was bare. To appease us he said he would throw in the shutters. (Originally planned to paint them ourselves but the time delays made that harder) new shutters costing about 5 K per Blaze. Too late to get any changes agreed to that and asked to get the additional upgrades he mentioned such as adding additional soffits to the home. The progress on the house was slow. May 15 2022 we had some significant rain and the house being without siding there was a leak through the windows upstairs. Blaze was contacted and he did not express concerns but I had requested him to see it... he did not. May 19 I message him asking when the project would be complete as I was schedule to be out of town for a work function. He tells me that it will be complete in the coming week. The week I will be gone. He lets me know that payment is due on completion. I inform him I can have the final check made and available since the project will be done soon. (BIG MISTAKE). See the third image for the details. But I asked him on May 23 if things were done since I viewed him on my security camera picking up the check but never saw any workers the days prior. He says it will be done soon. If you check image 4 you will see it is June and the house is still not done. In June he completes the house but the quality was "SHIT". There are a few photos of the quality I had gotten. There was piece of old trim that under a window they left. Also I attached photos of other jobs he completed in May while mine was unattended. I got Blaze to see those issues as well as the poor quality of the outdoor lights being replaced. Fixtures that were left in the ground and the screws that went with them tossed around. The lights were not secure and screw ends were visible. I also had to show him that the soffits I requested had never been installed there was one missing that made a perfect entry for birds to lay their young. He told me his guy would come and make all things better and those shutters would be coming soon.... Some things were not addressed and it is September 30 and I still don't have shutters. When I contact Blaze I get an excuse after excuse of reasons why he can't come to inspect the poor quality that remains. Actually he was supposed to come today but got a call that he had some other issues that came up so it was not happening today... I am a peaceful individual and understand that we all have situations that arise and complicate life. But how do you let someone keep dangling promises for. Almost a year... Blaze has made me hate my home because although from afar it looks great the details are horrendous and any person that would be interested in buying this home would see the issues.. Be careful of Blaze Brockway... he may say a lot of things to make you trust him. Update 2023: Blaze did connect me with another company to complete my project: Gutter Rescue. They were prompt and connected me with Chemung Heating to help complete areas that was outside Gutter Rescues hands. I am finally to have my home again.
