Check out those Monrovia boutiques! Bought 10 Monrovia Red Ruffles Azaleas, and my oh my, did they create a buzz on the cart. Ladies shopping were like where did you get those - I didn't see them, my are they purty, and the manager is helping a couple who also complimented my purchase, and asked where I found 'em. Ahhh... I have bought the last ones!!! I hope they have 50 next week as there was so much killer bright cherry color, and I can't wait to plant them tomorrow with my peonies, and all the Gazanias, Delphimums, and Salvia I got from there. That place is so mellow, you can't help but come back for more. Addictive to go buy and to shop and yes, good clean healthy fun! read more

This place is horrible. I went today to get two rose bushes fire my mother. I took the roses to the counter and the lady tried to sell me special soil for the roses. I knew that my mother had everything she needed so I told her that my mother would take care of it. Another employee came by and said, "I can't believe that he is making his mother plant those bushes." First off my mother wants to garden so why wouldn't she wasn't to do it. I told the ladies that I could buy the roses somewhere else, and did they get quiet. I will never return here again, and hopefully no one else will ever shop here again! F that place and its rude employees! read more

I always prefer shopping here than Home Depot. The staff here are knowledgeable and very nice. Chris spent a long time helping me selecting plants. I cannot image a better shopping for my yard in any other places. read more

Eric is the best! He really knows what he is talking about! They have a really good selection of heriloom/non GMO seeds here! Tons of cool trees, plants, flowers and fountains. They had a ton of trees on clearance, so my aunt was hooked up! She got everything she was looking for here and Eric helped us out big time. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars was for prices. Their normal price items are pretty expensive, but if you find things on sale its great! I got all my seeds here and they are already sprouting! Looking forward to a yummy garden :-) read more

What I like about this garden center is product that does well and help that actually helps! It can be unpleasant to go to all of the trouble and expense to plant something only to have it die after the "special" and temporary(!) fertilizer booster wears off. So spending a little more for a plant that will survive in less than perfect circumstances will be worth it. read more

We have visited this location every year for the past several years. The service is excellent and the staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. Last purchase was a large cement fountain and the two gentlemen who took it apart and loaded into our vehicle were great. Took great care to protect our truck and make sure everything was secured for transport. My only complaint, their shift wasn't over so I had to unload with friends;) read more

After living 35 years in Glendora and coming here each year I am saddened by the attitude of some of the personnel. First the flowers are not always watered and are wilting. The answer I get is the man comes in the afternoon. Yes, that is true and the hose is not moved to help their customers manuver throughout their nursery. Could not someone else water in the morning. It is a shame to see those conditions exist. I ask for PW flowers and was told they are over there, pointing to an area. After looking for 10 minutes I went back and ask again. This time a man said No, we do not carry them. There was a dispute with the company. They are overpriced and not run efficiently like the Monrovia Armstrong is. They should take a lesson from the other nursery in Glendora. I hate to see a business loose customers. read more

The employees at the Armstrog in Glendora are not friendly at all. They rarely smile, especially the manager. I asked the manger if I could return a fountain I had purchased a couple of months before (I just thought I'd ask, I understand if they say no) but the manger was rude and just plain mean. I've returned there a few time after that incident but it's just not the same. read more

Wow came in 2 weeks ago and was immediately taken back by the colorful and healthy plants and flowers. I had a dead ugly spot in my front yard that I needed to freshen up and add some curb appeal to my entry way. A very nice associate named Brendan helped me out and gave several different options to choose from that would lively up my area. A weekend gardener I wanted something that would not need to much water but be packed with color and character. We decided on a Petite Butterfly Bush and a six pack of petunias ,and my entry way is looking fantastic now! I was not rushed and the young man who was helping me was able to relate to my situation and cracked several funny jokes which made my experience great and full of laughter. I am very confident and happy with my purchases and will be coming back soon:) read more

It is so nice to have Armstrong nearby. The employees there aren't just employees who work there, they are so knowledgeable on the plants and other items, If one employee doesn't quite know the answer, they will find someone that does. They have a great selection and a fun indoor area, perfect for finding a great gift for the gardener in your life....or maybe yourself. Gift cards are available, not much for pond plants, but yard ornaments for sure...waterfalls, rose bushes, veggies, trees, and special indoor plants too. If you sign up for a special member, no fee, you get coupons weekly for plants and classes....well worth a bonus like that! read more

keith who works for armstrong in glendora came to my house and planted a bush he had to be the nicest person i have ever dealt with, he did a great job in planing our bush, he informed up how to take care of it and how to trim it so it would grow to 5ft tall.he even tied a ribbon around it so it would grow faster up the stick, i will be buying all my plants at armstrong from now on. thank you keith. read more

Gee, I've written a couple of nice reviews about this location. When I check Yelp, most of the good ones are gone. Craig's stays forever though. What's up with that? Give the people a break guys. They always have the right answer and the best product for the problem. They sure bailed me out with seeds a month or so ago. I was all ready to plant tomatoes and peppers......someone straightened me out pronto. Now I've got lettuce, parsnips and all the cool winter stuff going on outside! Woohoo. read more
