    Ready for some spring planting!

I love Glendora Gardens. It is a beautiful atmosphere that inspires you to create something similar for yourself at home. There are butterflies, bees, turtles, and fish enjoying their garden of plants. The people who work there are so friendly and helpful. The resident cat is a cutie. I've been buying my plants here for a few years now and the quality is good. They tend not to be root bound like some other sellers, so the plants have a better shot for success in your yard. The selection is massive. I enjoy walking their nursery and rarely am able to leave without a new green friend :)

Springtime is here Grabbing some goodies for my garden vision.

I love love love this nursery. The staff ambiance and supplies are top notch! They have the best selection to help me get my garden glowing and spring ready! I can't stay away from this spot--honestly!!!

Popped in here today after being disappointed by 2 big box stores, with low expectations of finding what I needed. Wow what a find! First of all, this place is like walking through an arboretum. Every plant, pot, and feature is a work of art! Koi ponds/water features, and swing benches are spaced throughout, with fish & turtles in the pond :). Finally, I came in for less common plants- an air plant, a bamboo, and to peruse bonsai if possible.. and they had all 3!!! Reasonable prices, warm and friendly service...I will def be returning!

    Tropical milkweed (native preferred)

This review is long overdue! I had a great experience with Judy. I explained that I was converting my garden to a xeriscape with native plants, removing rose bushes and other water lovers. I mentioned specific parameters like the height I preferred, low water, and that it would be in full sun. She gave me several options but I didn't purchase that day bc I wanted to do more research, and also check my local nursery (San Gabriel). I regret not buying the day of because my local nursery's plants were smaller and more expensive. I made the return trip and got the Lydia Tacoma, Santa Cruz hibiscus and milkweed. They're all doing great. One thing of note is I wish they carried native milkweed as the tropical milkweed isn't good for monarch butterflies since it disrupts their migration. By allowing monarchs to winter-breed in areas where they would normally migrate, tropical milkweed can expose them to higher parasite loads and potentially interfere with their long-distance journey. I learned this after the fact but oh well. Thank you, Judy, for your helpful suggestions and such healthy plants. They all have nearly doubled in size since I purchased them a few months ago.

You will not find a friendlier or more knowledgeable bunch of people than you will find at Glendora Gardens. I come here for the cactus, succulents, vegetable plants, soil and fertilizer. I foster dogs and also love to bring one when I visit. If you don't buy anything, it's still a nice therapeutic walk around the massive grounds. There are even a few koi ponds that you can just grab a seat and relax. I have a dreaded "black thumb," but now my secret weapon is Melina, the owner. I've brought in several plants now and said, "What is wrong????" She will quickly diagnose the problem and make recommendations. They are SO nice there and I enjoy going.

Been wanting to visit for a long time and place did not disappoint. Definitely more outdoor plants than indoor, but prices were great and service friendly. Nicely organized plants and parking on the street was easy. Service was exceptional and Felix the cat easily distracted us from shopping. We got a few houseplants, 2 big bags of Ocean Forest soil (honestly, haven't found it cheaper elsewhere...$22) and a 7 ft tall varigated banana tree for $49.....I would see 2-3 ft ones in houseplants shops for $150-$275. Great deal! Highly recommend.

Ponytail palm tree. Pet safe. Slow growing.

We have been coming here since Mike & Carole owned this nursery. Then a group of employees went in together to purchase this well established nursery. WOW did they enhance the nursery to its full potential! More waterfalls, more koi ponds, plants. The men who unloaded the truck 6/6/2024 were so very helpful. Very informative! Their knowledge is off the charts! The many different pots are just beautiful. If you are having a rough day, or hard time in your life. Please come here, get a cup of koi food from the front desk, and walk to your left a little Wais . You will see this gorgeous waterfall and pond full of Koi fish and a turtle, there is a bench to sit, while letting go. Enjoying the sounds of nature, so very peaceful. We love coming here to Glendora Gardens nursery. So many options to choose from. Palm trees, fruit trees, shade trees, shade plants, plants for partial shade, full sun, herbs, flowers, leafy green plants, roses, hydrangeas, plumerias galore, so many ponds, and koi fish. You can get cups of koi fish food at the front desk and find your favorite spot to sit , relax and feed the koi. Turtles too. Easy areas to walk around, very peaceful, healthy plants. Thank you for making this nursery so much more beautiful and adding Chickens, more ponds, waterfalls, koi fish and turtles. Allowing the Koi food to be free to feed the koi pond at this beautiful nursery is just amazing! We will see you again soon, to purchase more plants. Parking can be difficult at times. Enjoy we sure do! Dog friendly too.

    Strawberries.

This is one of my favorite nurseries and willingly drive 30 minutes to go there when I'm looking for a fantastic selection of ornamental and produce plants, pots and decorations, soil amendments, and sometimes just advice. I've added photos of 3 food plants I bought this spring because, for me, it's not how well the plants grow initially, but how they perform through the season. I planted the Persian cucumbers (please ignore the rusty and spotty leaves as this is the reality for all plants in my garden), strawberries, and yellow oregano in mid May. So far the cucumber had the best harvest I've ever had with this vegetable/fruit, producing at least 3+ lbs just by mid season. The strawberries, our first time growing this fruit, are pumping out a few berries every couple days and seem like they're just getting started. The yellow oregano, besides beautiful, is flavorful and in need of a little trim off the sides regularly, so I'm making a lot of Greek, Spanish, and Mediterranean food to keep up. This only possible with high quality babies...available at Glendora. Beyond the great variety of things for sale, the owner and staff have given me great advice on how to train my boysenberry vine, soil amendment, plumeria care, and more. The final thing I will say is that this is one of the most beautiful nurseries I've ever visited. It's a bit like a botanic gardens with a fantastic koi pond, lots of places to sit, and beautiful paths through various shades and sunny plant sections. Of course everything is for sale, but the experience makes the purchase a joy.

    Philodendron & fern as gifts

I LOVE coming here! Like LOVE!! Every time I come here, the service is top notch and next time I will get names because there are 2 people who usually end up helping me. I also love that they will pot plants if you're buying both plants and pot. I've started doing this as little gifts for friends and they love it. The one thing that freaks me out is the cats sometimes on the desk but they are so mild mannered. As afraid I am of cats (silly i know), I still go to Glendora Nursery for my specialty plant needs/wants.

I had always glanced over this location, and on this day happened to be in the market for some soil. The lot was thriving, not too crowded. People were looking about and soon a staff member took the time to show me some of their soil options and potting mixes. I settled on the organic palm and cactus mix. It was not dry upon opening, which I'm glad it was not, so far it's proving to be a fairly good quality. There's still some leftover in the yard. I saw many plants there. They had some pink aloe vera, along with a wide selection of succulents, which was nice to see. I had my eye set on something a little bit different though, an elephant bush. I knew they had some because some of the arrangements included elephant bush. So I just had to ask!Well, to my surprise they were more than happy to give me a longer tour of the southern part of the nursery, where they had far more sizes, big and small. I got to see some gigantic ones that I never expected to encounter in larger pots. Thank you Vic! It goes without saying I was impressed. Speaking about Vic, I just wanna say, many of the staff members were welcoming and went above and beyond to give me what I wanted. I was really impressed with Vic's extensive knowledge on house plants and his ability to help me find the size of this wonderful plant. Where I feel that most sales people would push you to buy a particular one item, Vic offered me choices, which I appreciate 100%. It's safe to say that type of salesmanship demands respect, and I will probably be coming back when I'm ready. Outside of my own personal experience, I noticed they have a variety of pots and fertilizers for all your growing needs. Always nice to see an assortment of pots and accessories for the home garden folk. Furthermore, Vic recommended a fantastic product as an addition to my watering routine, which within days has brought tremendous results. The plants absolutely love it, it amazing to think that this trip offered the plant, the service, and now the reassurance that if ever needed, they will be there to help answering any questions. That's all folks. If you have a problem with your project, there is no doubt they have the personnel to assist. Was a quick trip for me, but be prepared for an assortment of plant species and offerings.
