The best part is the Drill and Play is with Coach Meredith. She's a truly excellent coach. It's a small session, limited to 12 players. You have to sign up through the AGAPE website. These Drill and Play sessions are set up so higher skilled players play one week, lower skilled players the next. The first hour every session is spent practicing a specific skill. Coach Meredith is a gifted teacher. She always breaks down the skill into bite sized chunks so it's easier to master. Like, for example, first practicing just the footwork itself, no ball or paddle. Then adding them on one at a time. After allowing adequate time to individually practice whatever skill is being taught, we play games the rest of the first hour without keeping score. Not worrying about the score gives one the opportunity to practice skills not yet fully mastered. The second hour is regular play. Coach Meredith circulates continuously, pumping everyone up with her positive energy and emphatic vocal encouragement, all the while providing further insight and/or instruction where necessary. We hiked out to Paradise Falls, and while the view from a distance had me thinking, "That's it?"... once you get closer, it's actually beautiful. The weather was in the 80s, with the cool breeze made the hike so much more enjoyable (especially on the steeper parts). My pup had the best time too! I would've loved to let him run free, but this isn't an off-leash park. What I really loved is that there are so many different trails. Whether you're in the mood for a quick walk, a jog, or a longer hike, you'll find a route that fits. There were lots of people out enjoying the scenery, and the nearby town has plenty of cute spots to grab a bite afterward. It was such a fun outing. I would totally do it again!

The courts are well-maintained, clean, and I always find parking nearby. You can reserve a private court only on Saturdays and Sundays. Additionally, they have a dog park. There seems to be a big-dog and a small-dog side, and the dog park is huge! It's nice watching the dogs socialize and play. The park seems well-maintained, and both humans and dogs seem happy, although I've never observed long enough to see any dog/human drama.
