Hands down one of the best parks in Thousand Oaks. Love the plenty of picnic areas for big birthday, family, friend, and or work gatherings and BBQs. Lovely pond with adorable turtles and ducks surrounded by scenic trees and colorful succulents and desert blooms. Appreciate the greenery everywhere and bridges along and following the creeks. Squirrels, rabbits, and at dawn and dusk coyotes spotted here. Cute children play area with turtle themed play. Excellent place to unwind and create happy, calm, fun, playful memories.

A hidden gem in the middle of town. Enjoyed a relaxing Sunday afternoon picnic in the park with family. The picnic tables were clean, grass was luscious and green and the walking paths were easy to walk on. There's a lovely man-made pond with swimming turtles and ducks playfully entertaining visitors. Such a serene and restful place.

Spacious park. Lovely space. Sheltered structures to plan gatherings. Clean restrooms. Large free parking lots. Ponds with ducks, playground for kids, walking path, leashed dogs welcomed. Healing garden - beautiful memorial. Located near library.

We stumbled upon this park on accident. We were going to the library and saw the signs. This park is beautiful. It is a great place for adults and children. The ducks are friendly and fun. There are two playgrounds for the kids and lots of relaxing areas to just read a book or look at the beautiful nature. We will definitely be going back.

Nice shady park for kids of all ages. Held a small family get together during Covid and everyone was practicing social distancing. There was community benches provided by the park and it's spaced out from other guests who were in the area. On the other side of this area we noticed a soccer field nearby and other kids and families were using it.

Nice park for kids, picpics, bbq, and easy walking. Nice size too, not too big not too small. And it is very clean and nice designed and decorated. Easy access from fwy. Highly recommended.

Another awesome park in Thousand Oaks! This one is located behind the teen center and library. Love the duck pond, playgrounds, and picnic pavilions for parties. Lots of parking space! Restrooms and BBQs here too. Great park for a stroll since it loops around back to the other side.

I love to walk around this park. It's beautiful with the stream running along it where you can spot turtles, and all types of birds.

Four times a year I'm summoned to somewhere in Ventura county for an inservice that usually teaches me something long forgotten in my field. I don't usually mind them-unless it's football season. Football is sacred and since my brain can only hold so much knowledge I choose to sleep, eat, and breathe games, stats, top 10 plays, expert and not so expert analysis, Coach Corso's headgear pick, and all the human interest stories...nothing is off limits and no detail is to small. The goal is to retain enough of the prior three months of knowledge to make my picks wisely once Bowl week arrives. Year long bragging rights against my dad is something to be cherished! I could not do that today and was totally miffed about it. Anyways! This park was where I was summoned for today so off I went. With my phone, earbuds, and handy ESPN app to sort of pay attention to the lecturer and covertly check on all things NCAA. What a nice piece of property for the parks and recreation department! Lots of green grass, jogging paths, parking, covered areas for large parties, and clean restrooms! Thousand Oaks seems to do stuff classier and cleaner than other cities in the county .... Which leads me to consider a huge conspiracy theory. I saw no homeless people. Is that why their grass is so green?

Very cool public park. Huge grassy area, cool pond for the kids to throw rocks into, covered picnic area and plenty of parking within walking distance. It's also close to a Thousand Oaks Library so you can kill an afternoon with the kiddos. Get some books, then get some exercise! I was there for a dog festival called "Bark in the Park." It was a GREAT activity for dog lovers. Vendor booths (with plenty of free treats), dog obstacle courses, dog pools, dog races.. you get the idea. The park is a great spot for festivals but you may need to walk a bit once it gets busy (5-7 minute walk max I'd guess). Overall, a prime example of the wonderful parks in California. Great place!

The park itself is beautiful and clean, which is why we felt confident booking it for such an important celebration. Unfortunately, shortly after our event began, the splash pad stopped working and remained off for the duration of our rental. This was the main activity for approximately 20 children in attendance. While a park ranger attempted to assist, there was ultimately no resolution. What was especially disappointing was the lack of urgency and care from park staff. There was no real apology or effort to make the situation right. We had to go through hoops just to get someone on the phone, which was frustrating in the middle of hosting a children's party. If pavilions are being rented out for private events, you would expect someone to be readily available to assist renters when issues arise. Additionally, we were told at booking that Pavilion B was already reserved and that inflatables were only permitted in that space. However, Pavilion B remained empty the entire time. Had we known, we would have booked that pavilion or adjusted our plans to include a bounce house to make up for the loss of the splash pad. While the park grounds are well maintained, the lack of communication, unavailable amenity, and absence of real-time support made what should have been a joyful day unnecessarily stressful. I hope improvements are made so other families do not have a similar experience.

The entrance to the park is off one of the main roads and about a 2 minute drive till you arrive to the parking lot. There's also a baseball field that's there as well as a picnic area. Public restrooms are also where the parking lot is. From there, it's a short walk along the path which leads you to the main entrance. The garden is like a hiking trail. You'll start with signs leading ways to different direction. The garden itself is on a path so it's easy to manage. There's different area that's guided. Just following the path we ended up at the butterfly garden with a cute little butterfly chair. Depending on which path and direction you head to, there's other gardens. With plants everywhere, they have signs identifying what they are. We thought there would be some kind of water garden but no luck. There was a small waterfall feature but it was shut off. A section was catered to Rare fruit orchard with a good variety of trees and shrubs. Different type of guava, avocado, figs and so on. Some that were new to me. Throughout the garden, there's loads of benches placed throughout the area. All at different spot while some have amazing views of the city. Once you reach the top area, there's bench with an amazing view and it's also the cactus garden area. If you go through that area you'll end at the tranquility garden with a small red bridge and loads of rock sculptures. A cute small part of the garden. The paths all leads back to each other. The garden area isn't that big but the way the layout with the paths are, it does seem like it while walking. As we were walking out, we notice another path which leads to a trail. That trail goes along the creek that run along the side. It's not a long hike, pretty easy as it's all trail. There's a bridge that crosses over the creek which I'm not sure where it leads to. We followed the trail which does come out from the shady creek area to an open area. Views of the city along the way. It's basically goes around the whole garden area and connects back to the main entrance. Overall, it's a decent hike. The garden, I expected more. I thought there would have been a lake or some kind of pond. It's wasn't much of botanic garden but more of a community garden. Positive note, it's free to get in.

We frequent new parks and I hate when I can't find any updated photos for them so that's how I started my instagram @thatabcsquad to share. And now I'd like to contribute to Yelp as well. I have been eyeing this park for a while now and finally got the catch to venture up north! It's so beautiful and clean and very well thought out. - shaded parking structure - very clean restrooms - lots of grassy space - picnic tables that are fully covered (able to reserve) - baseball field - basketball courts - tennis/pickleball courts - bigger and smaller playground - ant hill to climb and slide - butterfly climbing structure - (pro/con) - wood chips What more could you ask for? Only downside would be the playground itself isn't very shaded so on hot days, it'll be rough! Highly recommend to check out if you're in the area! . Also very close to many shopping plazas! And the janss marketplace mall!

There's a lot of space for them to ride their scooters; the playground itself is big and beautiful with multiple slides and great flower theming. The best part, though, is the ant hill that they build into the park. My kids love it because it is a literal hill that you use cardboard boxes to slide down. This was the highlight for them, and they spent most of their time just sliding down and having a blast with cardboard boxes. I live in North Hollywood, so this was a drive, but it was worth it so that my kids could have a blast, which they did. This park is at the top of our list!
