Next, they came out for free to inquire about a question I had and caught a different issue in the process, which they took care of that day. So it seems a mixed bag with unknown outcomes, but they can usually come over quickly and get the job done.

They are not friendly and frankly I felt they just wanted me out of the store. One example, I was given advice on a faucet from them and when it was determined it was not going to available for 3-4 months, I asked for something similar. The front desk person just sifted through a delta catalog to see what faucet was available, not one that fits our design preferences, etc. (Note: I was able to find the faucet at Lowes and delivered within 3 weeks). I get that they might not keep stock on hand but I should not be shuffled through each faucet in a catalog to give me what delta has in stock at that time. It was rude and I felt demeaned because this is now how I wanted to get my room designed. A second example was for the 2nd bathroom for a quote for shower doors (European style). In the initial quote, we got a quote for regular shower doors. When I figured out that this was for regular doors, I asked for a requote. So, I set up an appointment for them to come out a 2nd time. However, a few hours later, another person from the store left a message on my phone with a quote that was over double. Needless to say, they didn't even do the order correctly the first time, they were inconveniencing me with their person to come out again but then also giving me a quote without even getting the order right in the first place. It seemed to me their back office and front office don't even talk. It had nothing to do with the money but I lost complete trust that they even care to do a good, quality job. So, I cancelled the appointment and will not be calling them again. We want to fully support small business but not Longs after giving numerous chances. Who knows?

On January 31, 2026…read more When we experienced several days of sub zero weather the furnace went out and we called Mechanical Heating and Cooling to access my furnace which had stopped heating the home. The technician came out and said he couldn't properly diagnose the issue because the inducer motor trap and secondary heated exchanger was filled with ice and they couldn't properly diagnose it until the furnace thawed. The technician said twice that if I called back within 30 Days we wouldn't have to pay an additional $99 service fee. The $99 service fee we paid on January 31 would cover the 2nd visit cause they couldn't properly diagnose the problem. I called mechanical heating on February 23, and was told I would have to pay an additional $99 for the technician to come back out. I asked to speak to a manager and he told me they would not honor what the technician told us because it was not their policy and they didn't care what he said that I would have to pay another $99. And when I challenged them, they yelled at me and hung up On me. I didn't call back because it was useless, but not only the tech that came out but the manager that I spoke with Were , both rude and disrespectful. When the tech came out, I had to stop the tech from talking down to me and to listen to the questions that I had and the manager was yelling at me over the phone saying he wasn't gonna pay shit. A lot of companies don't operate with integrity these days and some of them look down on you depending on the condition of your home and a lot of them overcharge you in the first place because they know you don't have that skill set. I'm just so sick and tired of dealing with unethical, rude disrespectful technicians. It took me a while to write this because it was so traumatic. I didn't expect it. I was by far the most impressed with Kristian. He had previously been an installer/technician but has recently become a sales person. He was extremely knowledgeable and personable; we actually enjoyed chatting too much! He explained to me that their company actually makes and installs new ductwork with their furnaces so that they don't have to retrofit what's already there. He was also the only one who noticed that my water heater was old and would need replacing soon. His quote was a bit higher than the other that I'd narrowed it down to, but I liked the Daikin furnace that he quoted because it has a very good reputation, the best warranty in the business and is environmentally friendlier than others. Additionally, rather than just doing a quote with line items, he attached pictures of each piece of equipment that would be installed, which I thought was a nice touch. I really wanted to go with him, but I had to think it over. In the meantime, I started to schedule a couple more appointments with other companies that offered 0% financing. I was going to wait to make my decision until I'd gotten the last quote or 2. But Kristian texted me on a SUNDAY NIGHT! to ask what he could do to help with my decision. I told him that if he could do 0% financing, I would go with him. He managed to arrange that for 12 months and I signed the contract that evening. Of course, this happened during an incredible heat spell, with temperatures in the upper 90s with matching humidity, so they couldn't get out as quickly as I'd hoped. When they were scheduled, Steve came out as the lead technician, with Brandon and Alex helping the first day and mostly just Brandon the second day. They got here at about 8:15 a.m. and didn't leave until about 7:30 p.m. BOTH nights! They worked super hard, hardly taking breaks at all, and they were short at that. Steve promised that they'd have the air conditioner working before they left the first night, and indeed, they did. It was the first time in over a week that I walked into a cool house. When Steve removed the furnace, he came upstairs and said that the water heater was about to blow, so I went downstairs to look at it. It was, indeed, bowing out. Kristian had already quoted a price but I was originally going to wait. But when I saw it myself (leaking, rusting and with a definite bubble), I texted him and told him I wanted that replaced as well. He was able to add it to the financing without a problem. So, in the end, I had a new furnace, humidifier, air conditioner, some ducts and a water heater installed. I have nothing but good things to say about this crew. They were all very kind, personable young men who knew what they were doing. I feel confident that I chose the right company to do this work.
