So I was very skeptical with the reviews but now that I've used them; i have no idea why they are getting such bad reviews. Arnold and her daughter runs the business and were both super responsive. They came to our house and gave us a quote and let us know they'll call us when they can do the job. Note that they do this because they also have to do it depending on the weather.. and the few days before and after!! (in case you need to kill any roots so they want dry days). They showed up at 8am and started cutting away. We thought our tree would be 8-10k to remove, but it was less than 4k and i'm telling you our tree was HUGE!!!!! We also removed 2 smaller trees in the front. Jasmine was super nice and we even chatted about their business. I would recommend using them if you're in the Queens or NYC area! I priced around and Arnoldo's came in at the best price. They came in with 4 guys and did a great job. My tree was in a tight area with telephone wires nearby and my gazebo right underneath. Never came back to remove the stomp.. I mean the service was ok.. just that they took the money and never return to jobs

ONLY PAY BY CREDIT CARD! This way you can hold them accountable. They split a hose on my sprinkler system, said they would fix it and it's been over a month and nothing has been fixed. I had made them aware of the sprinkler system around the trees and Arnoldo said it would not be a problem. It took me over two weeks to get them back to look at the damage (because my husband called and yelled] and it's now been a month since they removed the trees and they have not been back to fix the issue. They seemed like nice people but proved to be a disappointment. read more

Terrible obnoxious people. :( They came to trim my neighbors tree. This tree had branches above my property. So while they were cutting it all of the branches fell on my yard. They didn't care. My wife went to them and asked them to come to our yard and remove this garbage. They ignored her. Instead they reached for the large branches, pulled it and ruined some of our bushes. And left. Leaving the rest of the branches on my backyard. So I had to clean everything by myself (didn't want to leave it to my landscaper). Have no idea why people praised them so much. These guys did a superb job taking down several very tall trees. They arrived on time and worked with military precision avoiding structures and power lines. Showed up with a crew of 7 men, 4 trucks and specialized machinery to get the job done professionally. Also did a wonderful job cleaning up afterwards. Had Arnoldo's to trim down of a huge tree on my lot. Chose them over 2 other companies just because the person who came to look at the tree was very knowledgeable and knew what would or not kill the tree. They were a little more expensive than the competition but we literally met on day one at 3PM and on day two buy 1PM the whole project was done. Nothing was damaged and the cleanup was great as well. I used this service last year to remove a tree. I called again to have two young trees planted and some bushes. We received the estimate and had to keep calling and texting Arnoldo to make the appointment for the planting with no response. After a week of calling and texting Arnoldo personally and calling the office, I finally got someone on the phone and told her that I would appreciate a call back from Arnoldo if he is unable to do the job so that I can make other arrangements because the trees need to go in the ground as soon as possible. Arnoldo finally called me back later that day and made an arrangement to show up at 8am on Saturday to do the planting. We changed our plans to be available and Arnoldo was a "no show" and did not call that day. We called Arnoldo and there was no answer. This is extremely unprofessional because I confirmed the appointment with him personally and called and spoke with the lady at his office the day before the scheduled appointment and confirmed again. If you don't want to do the job, then say so. I am extremely disappointed with Arnoldo. That is not how you handle business and especially because we were returning customers. read more

We called Arnoldo's Tree Service late Sunday afternoon after a bad wind storm that brought down a lot of trees in the area including one on our property that fell on our neighbors house. Arnoldo arrived within 2.5 hours, provided a very reasonable quote and came back the next morning and removed the very tall and large tree that had fallen. Today 04/04/19, My neighbor (new homeowner) had Arnoldo's Tree Service remove a huge front yard tree from his property (which I'm sure he will be satisfied with their service). However, know and understand these tree removers did not care about the homeowner next to this new owner. Arnoldo's Tree Service dented (bowed) my standing fence, broke my large flower planter along with the solar light. When I approach the foreman about my damage when they finished the removal, the workers to be "mean" left their lunch garbage, cups, empty water bottles, full soy sauce, duck sauce wrappers orange juice cartons in front of my fence, my front door as a way of "getting me back" for complaining about my damage property. Therefore, don't hire them for their care should be not only for the client, but for a possible "future" client or a person who just might live next door who might have recommended you and your staff to others for your services.
