The noodles were very tasty with good balance of seasonings with the meat really tender. The chicken skewers were fresh with sides of dipping sauce to enhance the flavors. Hey, this place is pretty good! It was a pleasant surprise to find a great Thai place in Yuma. I was looking for dinner options on Yelp and came across Aroi Thai. Close to the hotel and excellent reviews. Decide to give it a try and they did not disappoint. It is tucked in corner next to a movie theater in a big shopping center. We stopped for lunch at Aroi Thai on our way to the beach from Phoenix. My friend and I ordered lunch specials, which included a delicious small bowl of soup, a small but tasty egg roll, and white rice. The pad thai was pretty tasty and so was the red curry (lots of veggies and protein). The summer rolls order included 4 and they were pretty good in size. Had lots of leftovers. Food order took about 30-35 min to be ready but it was still warm enough when it arrived. I couldn't tell you about service and ambience since I didn't eat at the restaurant. Curry was okay. It looked better in the picture than it tasted. It had way too much coconut cream in it that it turn curry into pale white color. Fresh spring roll had celery it in and came with peanut sauce . We asked for fish sauce as an alternative to the peanut sauce and was given sauce made of fish sauce, garlic and chili pepper, a sauce meant for dipping meats in. It was too salt for the fresh spring roll. The fried rice was good but it had diced tomatoes in which was different . I order the Am special and the grilled beef was very tender but not enough sticky rice. The drunken noodle was good. The orange chicken was okay. We ordered Thai teas which was okay, should've went next door for drinks. For dessert, we had the mangoes sticky rice. It was topped with a salty coconut cream. It was okay. Bill was over $300 for 6 people, which is about $50 per person for lunch. If food was delicious then we don't mind paying higher prices. Overall, we wouldn't go back for mediocre Thai food considering how expensive this place is. However, we gave it a try and glad we did cause now we know we won't go back. read more

Best Thai I've had in the state of Florida! They grow their own spices! The food is so tasty and spicy. AND they have a little grocery in house so I was able to take home a delicious bottle of plum wine! We had basil fried rice with chicken (they cook it spicy from 1 to 5) and spring rolls. When you come across consistency with taste and excellent service post-covid era a rave is well earned and deserved. This is a rave on AROI THAI CUISINE in the Yuma Palms. I have now been there on multiple occasions so this is not a fluke--it's the real thing people! I see other earlier posts raving about this spot as well. The staff was attentive and welcoming. I laugh because one lady stands at the counter and stares outside the door/window but somehow she senses whenever you need something LOL. They even remembered my wife and I from the previous visit. If you have not yet experienced Thai food you are in for a treat and this would be the place. There is beef, chicken and seafood, different types of noodles, fresh vegetables and soups with varying levels of spice and flavor from one end of the spectrum to the other. Yes some dishes bring heat from some serious peppers but they offset it with the sweetness from coconut milk, then there's the sour and saltiness. Such clean and distinct flavors from lemongrass, ginger and basil. Twice I've orders Am's Special which is sliced beef with sticky rice garnished with cucumbers and tomatoes accompanied with a fragrant dipping sauce and one sauce that will knock your socks off. This is good for you "heavyweight lovers" or for a family of four. The summer rolls are awesome and are actually four full sized rolls not two rolls cut in half and sold as four pieces. I deviated from the typical Pad Thai Noodles and went with the Pad See Ew which was savory, had an excellent garnished presentation and was a considerably larger serving than what you can cram into a to-go box. I also tried the red curry with chicken and was surprisingly satisfied and found this (in my opinion) more flavorful than the other Thai restaurants in town. This is a safe dish for starters but you can have it as spicy as you want. I was so stuffed from the Am's Special and had to use two containers for the curry leftover. Even the Thai Tea came in a glass larger than the water! So the portions are large. Yuma has grown so much in previous years and shows a desire and appreciation for a more culturally diverse palate with complex tastes and I'm glad I don't have to go elsewhere for some of this food. It's awesome to see Indian, Hawaiian / Filipino BBQ joints and now a third Thai restaurant in Yuma complementing the Mexican cuisine. I hope this is a sign that these trending cuisines and fusions of more diverse flavors and restaurants are coming. read more
