Only thing is there is a LOT of bird poop in the nearby grass so be careful if your dog likes to roll around. There are also a lot of gophers here, which the dogs often fixate on so be aware so that your dog doesn't get bitten or scratched! This dog park is a little less lively compared to some parks up north, so sometimes we just stay for a short while. This dog park definitely has a small town feel to it- it seems like most of the community members here know each other, and they are usually friendly and inclusive. Interesting note though- on a couple occasions, I've talked with dog owners who suddenly get into politics unprompted and I found that to be a bit awkward lol Most people are good about watching their dogs here and picking up after them, and it seems generally well-maintained.

For a county park this is a good, single section, "all dog" park. It has a good double gate, water, bags for dog cleanup, and a trash can. Parking is good, and the location is away from the main roads which is always a plus. It has one big tree for shade, and a child's playground nearby. The tractor gate (single gate that is extra wide for tractors) is locked (as it should be). Bathrooms are nearby, and scenery is fantastic. The local Spreckles Boy Scouts did a great job! We visited on 3 April 2024, a quiet Wednesday afternoon. Others were here before we popped in. Will come here again.

Also "because of covid" everyone has VERY unsocialized dogs here. My dog has been snapped on multiple times for no reason because owners havent socialized their aggressive dogs and decide to take them to the off leash park. and he is literally the sweetest boy, he COWARDS when dogs are aggressive. again, ive been going to parks with my boy for 8 months 3 times a werk and it has always been great experiences. The place is packed with a lot to check out but if you take your time to really enjoy process everything, its an awesome way to educate and be entertained. They had kids crafts too & guided nature walks.
