My pet had allergies that we thought was only food induced. It was because of the Dogwood Staff and careful monitoring/observation did we find my dog also allergic to fresh cut grass. It took us a few stays to find out, but the staff helped us figure out this mystery. After each stay, I opt in to my dog receiving a bath. She smells amazing after, better than the other grooming location I bring her to. I know four other pet parents who were also satisfied with their service and brings their pets here as well. During our tour, the staff member informed us that bark collars were used at night to minimize noise due to the facility's location in the neighborhood, so it's surprising to learn they're also used during the day. I spent time researching your facility beforehand and didn't come across any mention of bark collar use. Had that been clearly stated, I likely would have chosen not to pursue a tour, as it's something I take seriously. Bark collars are an aversive tool that can increase stress, fear, and anxiety. Particularly in an already unfamiliar and potentially overwhelming environment like boarding. Their use raises important concerns about the emotional well being of the animals in your care. Whether this reflects a gap in understanding or a difference in philosophy, it's something many pet guardians, myself included, view as a red flag. This is the place to let your dog be a dog!! Run and play all day with daily photos text to you so you can see the smiles on your pet. Have a young walker coonhound and she is in the best shape of her life right now. Not an indoor prison it is a resort playground with a lot of interaction with other dogs. Great social skills. Really have made our living situation great for my dog. Even with her being in heat right now still accommodating us, rare to see this type of customer service. Can't recommend ENOUGH this place! The staff, location and whatever they do with the dogs after they go through the door is amazing. We have two dogs, one we take with us (usually) and one that stays at Dogwood. We've learned that we can't drop off Touk (the dog who stays there mostly) on our way out of town because our other dog (Pike) who has also stayed at Dogwood gets excited and then sad when we drop off Touk but leave with Pike! Absolutely recommend this place. Your pooch, before they can stay, must take a temperament test to make sure they get along with the rest of the pack - which makes me feel confident there won't be any "disagreements" with the rest of the guests. read more

Very reasonable pricing. All the staff is very friendly and welcoming. My dog does very well. They have multiple sections depending on your dogs size and whether they are more or less active and age. The dog yard is fairly large. My dog has quite a lot of space to run around and stuff with her friends. There's also plenty of shady spots if she wants to cool down. I expected more of an indoor facility but at least if there's storms, they assured me they do have protection from the elements. My only hang up is they do not talk on the phone, only text. I like that they can text but I drive a lot for work so I prefer to call sometimes but they are pretty quick at responding. read more

We have taken our pup there two times for multiple night stays in the house (heated small house with caretakers) not because he's a problem dog but he is not a fan of any type of cold weather. Yes, it costs more but we know he has a great place to stay. We also love that he can grooming done (teeth cleaning without anesthesia, nail trimming and bathing) which is done before we pick him up. He loves to play in the big yard with the other dogs and the bath is a great thing. They also send updates on the pups so you can stay connected and feel confident they are looking out for him.
