From the decor to the service, I felt taken care of. Me and my bestie were transported to another space and time where everything was right with the world. We felt humbled upon entry because we were wonderfully greeted at the entryway with a welcome that truly felt sincere. Once we were seated, we were transported into the realm of Mexican cuisine that went far beyond tacos,enchiladas and refried beans. The chef takes you on a tour of Mexico and he respects traditional foods but serves it through his interpretation. The results are breathtaking and he also incorporates dishes from other cultures with his own own spin. For example, we had a dish that looked like Indian Pani Puri, but tasted nothing like Pani Puri. Bravo! The flavors, the differences in temperature and the presentation. Awwwww! No words!!! We had the full tasting menu and I'll do my best to explain each course not doing them the justice they deserve WELCOME TO MEXICO: 9.5/10 very light, refreshing, and the Escamol has a unique crunch. BEETROOT MACARON: 9.5/10 light but earthy taste with the foie gras finishing the palate with a more creamy and decadent finish. SUSTAINABLE FARM BLUE ABALONE: 12/10 the presentation of the Michelin Star was so cute, but the flavors were so refreshingly light, the jalapeño wasn't too spicy, and the corn had such an amazing flavor. "WAGYU" TARTAR: 10/10 the shell was so different, but such an amazing take on it! The mustard seeds were perfect blend without too much acidity and the smoked cheese gave such a nice balance. YELLOW CORN VELOUTÉ: 9.5/10 honestly being someone who isn't a fan of mushrooms had me cleaning up this bowl. The corn veloute was so savory, almost sweet and light - the mushrooms gave the perfect texture and balance for earthy to savory! EL VIZCAÍNO SEA SCALLOP "GARRA DE LEON": 10/10 being the mention for the star, the scallops were cooked perfectly, the butternut squash was so creamy and savory. The truffle slices were a nice addition, and the potato style chip was amazing but a different crunch not like an American potato chip. BUTTER DRY AGED ANGUS TENDERLOIN: 10/10 the selection of cut was top notch, and the sear on a rare-medium rare cut was perfect! The onion bulb was to die for, the beef tongue was so flavorful the whole thing was an explosion of flavor. MIRAFLORES HONEY ICE CREAM: 10/10 the ice cream was so deliciously sweet with natural honeys not being sugary or overly decadent. The cheese gave a perfect cut to the sweetness and the honeycomb presentation was beautiful. BEURRE "CARROT" NOISETTE: 11/10 love this dessert! Think the best carrot cake you've ever had but better and in the form of an ice cream. It was robust, sweet, refreshing, light and delicious. There were so many different profiles to this dish all leaving me asking how its carrots. The cinnamon and ginger infusion was the perfect idea to make it taste like the carrot cake concept. CHILATE "GUERRERO INSPIRED": 10/10 for a single bite it was smokey, sweet, decadent and crunchy! The flavors were a roller coaster on your tastebuds from start to finish it was amazing. At nighttime, the surrounding greenery plus the hanging lanterns gives the place a unique vibe that's perfect for a date night. We tried the two mocktails on their drink menu (Baja Roots and Tropical Berries) and both were very tasty; I especially loved the Baja Roots drink because it was the perfect level of sweetness for me! My husband enjoyed the Tropical Berries drink as someone who loves berries. For the food, we got the shrimp pastor tacos to start, and then we shared the grilled octopus and short rib pappardelle. Out of these items, the shrimp pastor tacos were my #1 favorite! These tacos were packed with flavor and the shrimp was cooked perfectly. Both of the main entrees were also great, and the portions here are very generous. I was definitely stuffed when we left Casa Martin :D On top of everything we ordered, the staff brought out a complimentary small bite for us (tuna tartare on wonton crisp tostada) which was so kind! Our dining experience was nice, but the food we ordered was just okay. I wouldn't call it some of the best of Cabo. Of our six dinners in Cabo, I would say it was probably our second to least favorite. But, that's not saying it was bad! It just wasn't on par with the other restaurants we dined at. First, I told the restaurant both when I made the reservation and when two different people at the restaurant inquired about food restrictions that I could not have cheese. The first thing served to us - an amuse bouche - was heavy on the cheese. It was a rather large ravioli, which was much larger than a normal amuse bouche -- and it had cheese inside the ravioli, a cheesy sauce, and cheese grated on top. So I could not eat a bite of it. My husband said it was just okay. The best thing we ordered here was the aguachile. It was beautiful, colorful, artfully presented, and absolutely delicious. So fresh, and well prepared. Loved it! Our main courses, however, were a little disappointing. They tasted fine, but ate more like the kind of main course you would order at a chain Italian restaurant in the US: heavy, chewy, and generic. But my personal saddest moment was when the churros arrived. I love churros, so very much. These looked beautiful, but when my husband and I cut into ours, they were all raw on the inside. So the flavor outside was delicious but we couldn't eat more than the ends of the churros. Overall, I enjoyed the experience of dining at Casa Martin... I just wish the food was better. I am hoping it was just an off night, and I look forward to revisiting this restaurant on a future visit to Cabo and hopefully having a better meal (but the aguachile was seriously so good - order that!).

We ordered the T-Rex, the Piggy, corn, carbon vegetal, and dessert, and we also received an amuse-bouche to start our meal. Everything from start to finish was a culinary delight. Our server, Rodrigo, and the rest of the staff provided excellent service that truly elevated our experience. The T-Rex ribeye was cooked to perfection, and the remaining fat was later transformed into chicharron paired with lemon and pickled onion. It would be easy to say that was the favorite dish of the evening, but each dish shined on its own. Needless to say, everything we saw, ate, and drank was crafted to perfection for a beautiful experience. We loved bringing our kids into this fine dining environment and were happy to celebrate our son's birthday here, where Rodrigo and the staff made it an unforgettable evening.
