Had a quick and speedy experience with an Asian lady by the name "Maria" although very hospitable it came with a hidden agenda, it felt like the massage was rushed and mediocre. Right after she gave me a handfuls of candy and asked for a review. On yelp and google. She was quick to take control of my phone and rate herself 5 stars. I wish Maria was more gentle on the ears and armpit area, no intuitive common sense, but she did manage to open my spine and released major neck and back tension I have. So there is that. My husband and I came here to try this spot for a couples massage. It was the most horrible experience. My husband is in agreement with another customers statement of rub and tug. There are no certificates on the wall issued by the state. We are bruised and disappointed with the service. Was actually TOLD to tip 20! They should have been happy with the 10 they received. I am so incredibly confused by the good reviews of this spot. I had the worst experience I've ever had at a massage spot here, and I've shared this verbally with many people who have expressed they've only heard bad things. There's a weird thing up in this small mountain town where people don't often post bad reviews, which is why it's taken me months to write a bad review, but the more I reflect on it, the more I realize just how bad my experience was. The room was bright and cold like a hospital, and the only thing covering me was a small hand towel on my butt. The female masseuse took like 8 phone calls and was texting for a good portion of my massage. Sometimes she would use one hand to aggressively rub the same spot so she could text with the other. I sat there thinking that I better get extra time added on to this because this was ridiculous. When she walked out for the 5th time to answer the door, she left me in the room for about five minutes by myself, and I was almost glad she left because the massage was so uncomfortable. She was using her elbow to massage over my spine and to just dig into the same spot over and over again. I asked her to stop, and I realized there was a language barrier, but she should know basic words like stop and no if she's going to be a service provider. I was actually screaming in pain and wondering if I was going to have to get up and leave. However, she made me pay and tip in advance, so I didn't really want to waste my money. Then she comes back into the room and she brings someone. The woman says, "Um, this is odd. Is she okay with this?" The masseuse says, "yeah yeah" and then walks out. I have a moment with this woman and I say, "I had no idea about this. Given that there's not even a sheet covering me and just a small hand towel, it's a bit odd, but whatever." Somewhere I was in a double massage room that had two beds. I told the woman I was actually glad she arrived because the woman was hurting me so bad and wouldn't stop. And so when the masseuse came back in, the new woman decides to use her translator app and try to tell her that the massage was too hard. The masseuse gets angry and says, "You no like my massage," and starts to pack up. I said I just want it to be lighter and so now me and another woman are basically having a couple's massage naked side by side while my masseuse gets back to my massage. First she goes ridiculously light like she's trying to prove a point but within a couple of minutes she gets back to just digging her elbow in the same spot across my spine and in a sensitive spot on my hip to where I'm screaming again saying please stop go lighter. At this point I'm almost feeling panicked like my body is going into fight-or-flight. I start hysterically laughing because my nervous system is open. I'm overloaded. Then the other woman starts laughing. I ended up... somehow surviving through this ordeal. And then the woman just says, "All done," and slaps my back and walks out. So I have to get up naked and get dressed in front of this other woman getting a massage by a man. Probably interrupting her massage because I'm making all this noise in a bright white room. I have had hundreds of massages in my life and this was the most unique and horrible experience ever. And like I said, I've spoken to a lot of people who have gone there and they all say that they received really bad massages where the woman just digs her elbow into one spot over and over again with no real skill involved. The shop has been opened since March 1 of 2024. Everything is neat new and clean. The massage studio is very clean well organized. The rooms are very private and there are many rooms. The lobby is inviting. If no one is at the front window, there is a bell to push As far as making appointment, it is easiest to text. You can call also but texting is easier. It is $80 for an hour massage. We paid via Venmo and it was super easy. The location is convenient here and the shop. There is plenty of parking. They asked you if you want soft or hard pressure. If you have never had an Asian style massage, I would get soft. The beds were the most comfortable massage bed I have ever laid on. There was many layers of cushion over the table. The only thing missing was an ankle support and I forgot to mention that to the owner. We will be back. read more

It took me a while to come back and write this review because I was nervous after my first bad review, a strange number called me which led back to this place. But occasionally I think about my experience here and felt like I needed to get the review out there. There is no "Maria" here let's clear that up first. I was in pain and needed a massage fast while visiting big bear which brought me here. I walked in 5-10 minutes early for my appointment which was no problem for me to wait. I asked for Maria a few times and the man pointed at himself, after asking for Maria one last time, he put me into a room and instructed me to change. At this point i felt a little weird and only took off my top and left my bottoms on. After a few min the man comes back and walks to the oils, I asked for Maria again and he pointed to himself. I said, "no, Maria" after he finally left he came in once more until "Maria" finally came. She took off the towel leaving the door wide open, I asked her to close it immediately. The massage was not good. I got so many weird vibes from this place that I couldn't even enjoy it. After the session she hugged me really big and told me I was beautiful, but after that whole ordeal it all felt very strange. They also know 0 english which made the ordeal worse. The only English she knew was "tip" of course. If you are a woman I would not suggest coming here alone. I got a weird feeling throughout the whole experience and even checked around for cameras inside of the room. It was a strange encounter and I hope they take these serious reviews into consideration.
