Read to the end-Important lesson! Very nice massage and facial for both my daughter and myself. We received a 2-hour treatment which was perfectly fine. More expensive than I've ever paid even on a cruise ship, but I get it-it's a resort town. Everything went great until it didn't. Be aware that in the end, they charge a hefty credit card fee, as each therapist is an independent contractor. We didn't know this. With their already high prices (conveniently including their own chosen amount tip already included for themselves) the credit card fee can be well over $20. Then I'm also paying a credit card fee on the top? Nah. Since I'm not really into paying unnecessary fees, I was then told that one technician takes only Venmo or Zelle. And the other ONLY Zelle. This complicated things as we don't typically use those payment apps (we do use Apple Cash, but neither accepted those. And of course we weren't carrying around $700 in cash. (I could have brought cash, had I known). [[HIGHLIGHT]]So then the uncomfortable awkwardness came. Yeah I could have just paid the fee and been done but I was aggravated that this was not disclosed anywhere on their website. Not that they were independent contractors nor the % fee for credit cards nor the limited payment apps. We double checked while there and couldn't find anything on their site.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Additionally when I made the reservation I was prepared to prepay and offered but the receptionist stated that we would pay at the time of service, which is most frustrating because she didn't mention why or anything about additional fees or limited payment options.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] So, all the stress that was just removed IMMEDIATELY came back. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was embarrassing also because a large party came in and crowded the small waiting area and some other older technician came over and demanded we pay NOW so they could begin with their new clients. I thought she was "the boss" but no, just asserting power.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Because of that I'm tempted to even lower another star rating, which I did just because of that. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Our therapists were nice about it, but looked worried, which they needed not be. We are good people. We worked it out with making a phone call and having the 2 payments sent.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] But I thought people should know this before they go: The techs are independent contractors. They each add on their own tip (as stated on their website) but how much that is-you don't know Some techs only take certain types of payment And one older tech was not compassionate about the situation and pretty much humiliated us for not wanting us to pay extravagant needless credit card fees. We will try a different place next time. But at least others will know if they read this. read more

We booked a last minute massage with them and got one in about an hour from booking. Upon arrival, we met with two very nice ladies who were really understanding of our massage needing to be cut short. The massage itself was super therapeutic. I love that my masseuse asked what level of intensity I wanted. I got a whole body massage, which included oils and hot rocks. Kristine is the BEST!! She is I think the only sports medicine specialist up here in big bear.. and they are hard to come by!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]I am so lucky I found her!![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] So I made an appointment to have a sports medicine massage and I went in to see Kristine because I Injured my back and hips while deadlifting at work during the week... It hurt me to the point where it was painful to lay down, sit or do anything.. and when I would wake up out of bed and get ready for work in the morning is when it felt even worse because I was so stiff and locked up for all those hours asleep. I work as a Firefighter and workout every day and it's important that my body works right and ideally without pain.. Immediately when I went in there Kristine saw that my hips and rest of my body was not symmetrical and totally out of wack.. and she put my skeleton back to being anatomically correct!! She is a PRO at what she does. She even gave me workouts with resistant bands to work with to strengthen my hip flexors and all the little muscles that I never thought about, helping me be stronger so this doesn't happen again and so my body can stay healthy without injuries! Honestly.. after the first session I had with her I already felt significantly better. I didn't know it was possible to feel THAT relieved from pain after just one session. I can move and lay down without pain. And when I went in for my 2nd session I felt even better!! I am going to see her again for my 3rd session to make sure everything is still where it should be.
