Firsly, I would say that this property caters for the more mature clientelle, by this I mean 70+. The majority of these guests have been here a number of times before and will keep returning, the entertainment I must admit is also directed more towards the older generation, the piano bar is worth a visit ONCE with Jeremy, after that it is just repetative, and boring.
Downstairs there is very large well lit lounge area with table service. The music is good and it was fantastic to see people dancing (properly) jiving (properly) and generally enjoying themselves. On occasion the entertainment wasn't for myself and my wife, so we just popped out for the evening after dinner.
The buffet was great, service was excellent. We had no problems going down a bit earlier to avoid the rush. Drinks were priced reasonably for a 4 star hotel.
Accommodation was good, quiet and kept very clean through out our stay.
I would recommend this hotel if you would like peace and quiet, a good book, a snooze by the pool after breakfast and excellent food, however I think I'll wait another 40 years before I return. read more
