Fun mini-golf course in Lake George while here for the weekend. Played both courses... Did Around the World first followed by Around the USA. 18 holes around the world to different countries and well maintained courses...mainly 2,3 and 4 par obstacles... Only 1 hole in 1 for me in Brazil. Overall fun. Stay and play Around the USA for 18 interesting states of interesting were cool as well. All around fun was had. Nice picture spots as well and not too crowded if you came early. was able to get 2 hole in 1s here - Maine (Lobster) and Nevada (Roulette)! Woohoo!! Prices are decent. This mini golf course is located across the street from the lake,and has its own parking lot with free parking. It's great that it has two 18-hole courses to choose from: Around the World or Around the USA. We chose the Around the World course. The grounds were well maintained, and there was shade near each hole. I liked that each hole was challenging, and many holes had moving obstacles. Absolutely love this place! Lake George Village's Around the World in 18 Holes has been my favorite miniature golf course since I was a kid, when we started taking our vacations on the lake, and it remains a place I always have just a total fun time shooting a round whenever I can make a stop in town during the summer! While there's also "Around the U.S.A." second set of 18 holes, the "World" course is (at minimum) my go-to! An amazing place for kids and/or adults to play!!! The well-maintained "World" course (which dates back to 1963) may apply a stereotypical motif to a country's hole, like German Beer Steins and Mexican Sombreros, across your game you'll face a range of difficulties and decorations that should leave you smiling whatever your score. Clearly, the all-time most challenging hole to get a "Hole in 1" (I think anywhere) remains the 8th Hole Brazil with Sugarloaf! That hole's uniqueness is hard to forget! And, if you get a "Hole in 1," you get a free game!!! Just a thought, though: While the holes have had some updates over the years, the geographic distribution covers heavily Europe and Asia, omitting a hole dedicated to anywhere in Sub-Saharan Africa. Perhaps, given its reaches higher above sea level than the Matterhorn, maybe the 16th hole could be converted to honor Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. Hemmingway certainly made those snows on top of it iconic. This mini golf has 2 courses- around the world and around the US. My mom, brother, and I played the world side. While they said this was easier.... It was NOT easy lol. We had a blast competing against each other and reading the facts about the countries at each hole. The decor was so nostalgic but well maintained. We even saw the owners repainting the top of the building where you pay and get your equipment. We spend about 1.5-2 hours playing the 18 holes. There are water features, moving obstacles, and other challenges. It feels nearly impossible to get a hole in one but it's more funny than frustrating. I'd highly recommend this adorable course. This was an awesome mini golf course! There's 2 choices - 18 holes of USA states or 18 holes of different world countries. You get a discount on one if you play the other, so we did all 36 possible holes! It was a lot of fun, and only like $35 total for 2 people for 36 holes of mini golf! Each hole is unique to the state or country it features, and has funny designs and moving parts at times which are representative of the place. The holes could be pretty challenging at times, with the USA side being a bit tougher. The holes are tough enough to be fun, but you don't have to be a pro golfer to get some decent scores. In my travels I have played mini golf courses all over the US. Around the world golf was one of the courses I was most looking forward to playing before I played it, this is usually a recipe for disaster, but not in this case. This is one of the best courses I have ever played. They have 2 18 hole courses here. One is US themed, the other is Themed around the world. Both of the courses look stunning and are perfectly upkeeped . The location is also great located right off the lake, and to make it better they have free parking. The international course has holes ranging from the Taj Mahal in India, to the pyramids in Egypt to the Arc de Triomphe in France. It is quite the global tour. When we played the courses we James packed but everything moved quickly. The staff was also nice and friendly. Everything was clean. They take credit cards. There was nothing more I could ask for in mini golf. Overall one of the best courses that I have ever played and a must do if you are in the lake George area. read more

I came here with a friend over the weekend and played two fantastic rounds of golf. There were several things that made this course stand out about any other I have played before. First, the holes have some very unique designs (such as the guitar hole, the NYC subway hole, and the Vegas roulette hole) utilizing creative ways to get players to aim the ball into certain places. Second, everything was kept up nicely: the greens looked clean, the paint all looked fresh and sharp, and the plants were living well. The holes were short but some were quite challenging. They tested your accuracy, your speed, and your ability to think through the best manner to get to the cup. Fourth, the cups were not lined with metal and thus there were no annoying rims sticking up to ricochet balls away. Finally, they made a lot of 3D statutes that really make the course classy. I am sure pictures here show everything, but I was blown away but how much fun they crammed into such a small space. Some downsides include a total and complete lack of adequate parking (though I suppose that goes for much of Lake George during tourist season); not a lot of water in some of the water hazards; and crowds of people. We got stuck behind a group of 7 in one course, and a group of 8 on the other. That slowed us down. Price was about $16 for two rounds (USA, World) if played together, which seemed fair. This is an excellent course. I will definitely return during the off-season. read more

A challenging mini golf with two courses for these adults! We enjoyed the side "Around the US" on a summer afternoon. Although it was busy with a large group a few holes ahead of us, we enjoyed the well-maintained course. Easy to see why this has been around for decades. There was shade near each hole to help with the wait from time to time. But this course is challenging! The family of 4 ahead of us and the couple behind us had as many struggles as we did with the many traps and twists and turns. We all had lots of laughs at our struggles. But I'm glad we had no young kids with us! They definitely would have been frustrated with these challenges! Don't let that stop you though! It was a fun course and I will go back next time I am in Lake George! read more

There are two 18-hole mini golf courses here--Around the US and Around the World. At first glance, it looks like a pretty basic course but it's actually on the rather challenging side. We played both courses during our most recent stay in Lake George and found both sides to be challenging, with the Around the World the most challenging. The courses don't have elaborate theming but they are cute and many have moving parts that you have to get through and many have multiple holes where your ball drops onto a different level. My kids ranked the 18th hold on Around the US as their favorite, which was a nicely decorated NYC subway themed hole! If you are looking for a fun way to spend an hour or so, this is not a bad place to try. We saw kids along with older folks enjoying themselves here. read more

On a recent trip to Lake George, we were looking for something fun and we happened upon this spot. If you are a mini golf fan, this is a great place to spend an hour. There are two courses - one takes you around the world and the other takes you around the United States. We did the world course. It was pretty challenging so don't think it is easy peasy! It is definitely an old school blast from the past kind of place, but it is in good condition even though you can tell that it has been there for a long time. Parking is very easy and a good time was had by all in our group. The teenagers and tweens in our group had a really great time! Recommend for families for sure! read more

There are two separate mini golf courses one is Around the World where you play holes created to the themes of different countries and then the Around the USA golf course takes you threw different US states. If you place both courses in the same day they provide you with a discount which was great and a lot of fun for my family. My daughter's favorite hole was the one shaped like a guitar. The goal is to have the ball go down the center strings (metal bars) for a hole in one. Some of the other holes were just as creative. Each course was well maintained and the parking is free if you're playing golf however the same parking lot does also charge $8 per hour for parking. read more

A place so nice - we went there thrice! When you have young kids mini-golf is on the agenda, no ifs ands or buts. And this place was definitely a few notches up from the usual places... one 18-course is all about the USA and the other is their international course. There's a nice mix of the classic corny/kitschy stuff and then sprinkled in there are some cool items (a Paul Bunyan from the World's Fair... a wishing bell from Thailand [where you can make a donation to helps veterans]) and there's cool trivia on capitals (am I the only one that didn't know the capitals to Switzerland or Pennsylvania or Vermont? Maybe.) The final hole on the US side you go down into a replica NYC subway station (complete with graffiti) and the scariest conductor you've ever seen (they even use his creepy picture on their scorecard and advertisements!) - and one of my kids actually got a free game on the last hole. My only issues are about the fellow customers - parties of 8 (when they specifically tell you to keep them to 6 people and under) ahead of you just makes the game come to a complete stop at times and what's up with the litter?! You can't take that empty bottle of water or Gatorade with you? Ridiculous. (Nice that they offer free parking but that lot is small and it looked like a lot of headaches when cars were attempting to come and go at the same time and there just wasn't adequate room to maneuver.) read more

Dang. This is one helluva mini golf course. Dare I say it's the best golf course that I've ever been to? There are two 18 hole courses here. One is USA themed, where each hole represents a different attraction and the other is world themed. We had a tough time choosing but ended up going with the world theme course. Each hole was unique and challenging kept me on my toes the entire time. For about 15 bucks, the two of us had a great time. We were tempted to try the USA course afterwards but decided that it might be too much mini golf to handle for one day. Lake George has a bunch of really nice mini golf courses and you really can't go wrong with any. But, if you haven't been to this one yet I strongly recommend trying it. read more

I like to think of my family's summer home of Lake George as something of a Northeast mecca of mini-golf (call it "putt putt" and I will cut you off immediately, violently and irrevocably). The Village and the surrounding towns of Queensbury/Glens Falls must be home to a good dozen courses at the least, these 2 being rightfully the most famous. These (2) 18-hole courses have been featured on the Travel Channel and in magazines as among the nation's 10 best, and are indeed a world of fun (sorry). As is probably self-explanatory, each main obstacle or hill representative of a particular nation (for the Around the World 18) or state (for the Around the US 18). Angle your putt straight through three pyramids in Egypt, or up a ramp and into a kangaroo's pouch in Australia. Through the Churchill Downs starting gate down to the blue (putting) grass of Kentucky or into the roulette wheel that will give you an appropriately random game of chance score in Nevada. If there's one quibble, I think (due to location) they states hew a bit too close to the Northeast, probably to appeal to the largely local tourist clientele Lake George draws. So you have New Hampshire, Vermont, New Jersey and Pennsylvania all represented, whereas I think some more far flung options might be more fun (a little Mt. Rushmore for South Dakota or Gateway Arch for Missouri perhaps?) But I love it too much to care. And the US 18th hole - a nicely recreated subway stop (with authentic NYC benches and turnstiles) in quite the piéce-de-résistance. If you are serious about the game (or as serious as a game known for clown's noses and rotating windmills should allow), there are enough challenging holes - my recent hole-in-one on the hilly Arizona hole made me drop my club in sheer, abject celebration - but its more of a fun-for-all-ages kind of place - enough challenges for adults, but not so much as its frustrating for kids. I would say that the Around the World course is on the whole a bit tougher than Around the US. It's a touch pricey ($7.95 for adults, $6.25 for children), but $2 off for the 2nd game of the day if you want to take on both courses. read more

#20 in our series on Mini-Golf in the greater reaches of the Capital Region. The Granddaddy of old school mini-golf, with original holes and two 18-hole layouts right on Lake George. The course is old old old school, with two themes (US states and countries of the world) and eccentric one of a kind obstacles ranging from a superb Subway recreation to kind of cheesy half-deconstructed straight putts. The lines can get a little long and the parking is horrendous (I recommend going around the corner to public parking and walking back) but the price is decent, $7.25 for adults and a buck off for kids, relative to the Jersey-shore-like atmosphere of Lake George Village. We'll skip over dissing the oddly racist "Native" hole and a few other oddities, and we mostly enjoyed the course quite a bit. But it can't get to five stars on the playability problems it has: the holes either weren't designed for, or haven't been maintained for, rewarding good shots. Some are just random, and others had "dead" spots where all balls hit drain to for the final putt or two, no matter what. Recommended for heritage and basic fun factor, but not top-rated for the minigolf aficianado who wants a challenging course. read more

Two different courses to play - Around the World & Around the USA. If you play both you get a discount on your second course. Around the World course is very tightly packed together & there was a lot of back-ups/waiting the night we went. Parking is free if you play mini golf, but they don't advertise that nearby so we ended up paying for our parking & didn't get a refund ($2 per hour & we paid for 2 hours because of the lines). Go on a Thursday night in the summer & you can catch the fireworks over the lake while playing your game. Personally preferred Around the USA more than Around the World; each hole seemed to be better spaced apart on that course than on the Around the World course. This mini golf course has quite the reputation and the layout and holes have awesome themes. However, the course is older and the greens show it. The carpet for the holes is worn and the holes often times lack gradients in height and shape and the creativity associated with newer mini golf courses - it's mostly just trying to hit the ball through a very small opening. We have been visiting Around the World Golf since I was a teenager. I'm 51 now, and still have a great time playing a round, or two here. My most recent visit was in July of 2020. We were fortunate enough to arrive in Lake George the very first day that Mini Golf was allowed to open, and took the opportunity to play a round. We played 18 holes around the USA. There were 5 people in our party. One 16 year old, and the rest adults, and we had a great time. The holes are well maintained, and entertaining. The course is difficult enough to present a challenge without being frustrating. Social distancing was reasonable, we never felt as though it wasn't safe to be there. We had such a good time, we returned two days later to play 18 holes around the world. Great family fun. We hope to visit again soon! read more

So our 7yr old son suddenly has an unrelenting wish to always play minigolf so here we are at one of the many establishments in the area which was the closest to our resort from Lakeshore Drive. This particular one is by the lake and you can choose from 2 courses - Around the World or explore the USA. You can do both and play your 2nd game for a discount. We found parking on the premises which is free. We visited from Manhattan, so we were entertained by the subway themed hole, which was our 5yr old daughter's favorite. Overall the course is more scenic compared to other minigolf courses since it's by the lake. You can even hear steamboats loudly toot their horns to add to the ambience. We would definitely come here again. Next time, maybe look for a discount online or from some magazine/brochure to reduce the price. read more

This is the BEST mini gold course ever! It is set right by beautiful Lake George and offers two courses: Around the World and Around the U.S.A. Personally I prefer Around the World but if you get the chance play them both(I always try to)! The holes are all themed for different countries and states which adds to the fun and the difficulty levels vary so that you never get too frustrated or too bored. A great concept but poorly executed! My husband and I were very disappointed. We enjoy mini-golf but we are probably average golfers. This course was terrible. The Astroturf was inconsistent or missing in spots. The concrete underneath was bumpy and didn't seem to be intentional. It was more frustrating than fun. The family behind us quit. The holes were not designed well... One of my balls got stuck inside the windmill. Most of the holes had obstructed views... You'd putt and not be able to see where your ball went. It's no fun to putt "blind" then walk around to see where your ball ended up. Most of the water features were dry. One of the running water features was ugly PVC pipe above the water about 6 inches. We will not be returning. Also parking was terrible, but in fairness that is not their fault. Location by the lake is lovely... read more

I would give this place 10 stars if I could!! We had so much fun here! They had two separate courses, Around the World and Around the USA. They were both fabulous! When we got there we had a 4:00 booking for a cruise on lake George and we weren't sure if we would be able to play the whole game. The worker was very kind and explained that she would give us a rain check and stamped our book saying that if we didn't finish our game we could come back and finish after the cruise! They also offer a discount if you play at one of the courses you can do the second one at a cheaper rate. And honestly I don't know who wouldn't! The course was so fun! Each hole had either a state or country (depending on which game you were playing) and it gave some facts about it. There were tons of holes that had moving elements which was super fun and they put a lot of work and detail into each one. We had such a blast! Awful and awesome at the same time but this place is a landmark. I have been coming here to play putt putt for 30 years and nothing has changed. Literally, nothing. I don't even know if it's been cleaned in all that time. The holes are unique and hilarious. I love all the trick shots and small spots that you have to maneuver. I took my partner here for the first time and he loved it too. The Australia hole is my all time favorite! read more
