Undeterred, Rosario was super responsive to my calls or texts to move date/times. In fact, he stopped over early one morning (while passing through town on separate business) and was able to assess what was needed before I knew or spoke with him later that day. He gave me what was a VERY competitive price as well as a date to complete the job (which was very quick and accommodating). Like earlier, on the day before the work was to be done, Rosario followed up to confirm when he would be arriving and both he and his brother arrived, right on time and explained exactly what they would be doing. They asked me if I had any questions, thoughts, or concerns and then they went to work straightaway. I was able to go to work confidently while they did their thing which by all accounts was efficient and neat before wrapping up and touching base to review everything and see if I had any other questions. On a personal note, one could see both Rosario and his brother are both old school when it comes to working with customers. A family business that they followed their father in, they take pride in their work and care about their customers (including taking a little time to get to know them beyond the business transaction once the work is all done). They cleaned up my yard great, I got it dethatched and seeded as well as the dips filled in with fresh dirt. Right away my lawn started to look better so I'm excited to see how it heals. Also, loving Yelp and the features, I did get an answer to my estimate request within an hour- also great. The cons.... the guys showed up 26 hours after I was initially expecting them. Thankfully I work from home so I was there when they did actually show up but I don't like the feeling not knowing when to expect people at my house. I feel like the price I paid was worth it so I would consider using them again one day.

I agreed to it, but let's see how the driveway works out over time. They did not use the crushed rock that L&M uses, and lets sit for weeks, but rather used some mixed sand and rocks and then did the paving the next day. Maybe that doesn't matter as old, fifty year old driveway had a sand underlay.

Midstate quoted me $500-1500 more than he charged my neighbors. One neighbor was charged $2000 for her driveway & front porch. Her driveway is the same length as mine. The other neighbor paid $3000 & his driveway is longer than mine. I was quoted $3650?! Obviously I disregarded Midstate's quote. My driveway was indented, cracked, & in complete disrepair. After George & his crew left, my driveway looks beautiful. George could not be any sweeter. He's a real people person & I can tell his kindness is sincere. He's such a nice guy. It didn't take them long to finish my driveway. George was nice enough to give me instructions on how to care for the new paving. They put up caution tape in front of the driveway.
