Arrington Roofing is spectacular. Being a property insurance adjuster, I had been involved with them over the past several years and I have been very impressed with their knowledge and work. Many roofers do not want to "hassle"or attempt roof repairs. I had a skylight which leaked, and they were my first option. They stated they would proceed with the repairs. Employees Dakoda, Mario and Chance came out, replaced the skylight and roof flashing and a nearby turtle vent with no issues. They installed and tied-in the new shingles to manufacturer's specifications and the job looks great. Since then we have had several severe rains and experienced no leaks at the repaired area. Maybe it's me. Maybe I just have s**t luck with any contractor I deal with. Sadly, I've had another poor experience on a seemingly mundane roofing project. But maybe, it's just the way it is no matter where you source your contractors from. This was a personal referral but you can pick your poison using any lead aggregator. From Angie's list to TGCL to Home Advisor, they all are the same. The sales guys are super interested in you up until the point the job is done and the checks have cleared. After that, you become a very low priority and this morning was a prime example of just how low. I recently had Arrington install a new roof for my home, garage, and garden shed a few months back. Everything went smoothly and the job was done in a single day. Overall, I felt happy about the quality but saw a few things that a had questions about (exposed nails, wood that needed replacing) but let it go. Recently, however, I noticed while removing paneling in my garden shed, that there was water leaking into all four walls. Was this the fault of Arrington? I don't know but I contacted my sales guy, Ken to have him come by and have a look. My first contact was Saturday, June 6 at 3:32 pm to make him aware of the situation. He responded and told me he would check his schedule on Monday. Monday went by and I didn't hear back. I texted him again on Tuesday, June 9 at 3:15. No response. Texted him again on Friday at 1:16 pm. He finally texts me back half an hour later explaining that I wasn't forgotten, but that he has been busy. After that, we texted back and forth and settled on a time. So since I seem to have a little unexpected free time this morning, I thought I would write down my thoughts. If you haven't picked up on it yet, I was stood up. Never mind I tried to be flexible to accommodate Ken's busy schedule. Never mind that I had to alter my schedule, get up extra early despite having to work late last night. Forget the fact that I am busy too and have things to do too. The truth about any contracting company is that once the project is done, once the money is secure, you, the customer have to be the one to follow up if anything goes wrong. They seem to have learned from previous yelps. They came out today to look at my roof. Upon inspection they had digital pictures. They didn't try to replace the whole roof as another contractor wanted to do; only repair the area that was damaged and perform some basic maintenance (my roof is only 7 years old) Since it was scheduled to rain, they installed a temporary fix for the gaping hole that was in my roof; to hold over until they could do the larger repair. I am writing this as the storm clouds roll-in; feeling pretty good about calling them out. The quotation was a simple form with pre-priced items that include parts and labor. Pretty straightforward and void of any over-charging. Assuming that the final work is as good as today's experience I am going to keep it at five stars. ---Updated --- The workers came out and completed the work per spec + some. I crawled up in the attic post work and they had taken the time to dry out the under-hang to ensure no mold development. - When they do the final inspection (I assume monday) - I will see the top. ---Updated Again--- They came out and inspected, ended everything with before and after pictures... We only had repair work done, not a complete roof replacement, but our experience does seem to demonstrate the company's integrity, and I am inclined to use their services again in spite of what transpired. The repair work included the installation of a ridge vent, the painting of several existing roof vents, the removal/patching of a bulge in the roof decking, and fixing a few "pop-ups" where existing shingles were not lying flat. All of this work was done in about five hours by a two-man crew. Two days later I went up on the roof and videotaped in detail the work that had been done, just for the sake of documentation. We decided to provide the video to company management so that we could ask a few questions, because a few choices were puzzling to us. Management viewed the video and responded promptly, letting us know that mistakes had been made and that they would send another crew to our house the next day to COMPLETELY re-do the job. (We hadn't even asked for a re-do; we had just politely presented them with several questions. But the video told them everything they needed to know.) The second crew had three men, none of whom had been there the first time. I got the impression the company was making an effort to send more experienced people for this second attempt, to really treat us right, and we appreciated that. They completed the re-do in about four hours--including a complete replacement of the entire ridge vent and repainting of the existing vents--and there was a distinct improvement in the look of the roof. So, to sum up, we appreciate the company's conscientious response to the mistakes made by the first crew. The employee who gave us the initial estimate--Aaron--was particularly helpful, attentive and knowledgeable. I would recommend the company, but with the warning to pay close attention to their work and to photograph the results, and don't be afraid to ask questions. read more

Arrington did a great job re-roofing my house, and more importantly a great cleanup--not a single flat tire! There was two minor followup issues. Two incredibly nice young men did the work. My 92 year old neighbor who sometimes gets confused, saw the truck and thought they were from a water delivery company and came over to ask them about service. I have been trying for three months to have Arrington Roofing come do some repair work on my warehouse roof. A fellow showed up, looked around and left. When I heard nothing from them for 2 weeks, I called and the repair guy finally sent the promised quote which differed from the amounts on the attached price sheet. Then there was another lull for several weeks, and that contact led to no response. The owner refused to communicate with me, and showed no interest in finding and repairing the leaks.
