If I could give 10 stars, I absolutely would... I can't say enough about Arrowhead Dental Associates and their entire staff. As a patient since 2017, I could not even imagine going anywhere else for my dental care. This staff genuinely cares about each and every patient. They consistently go above and beyond with their dental care. Doctor Brendan Gouin is just over the top amazing!!! He explains your dental plan precisely and provides informative directive on your care. He makes you feel completely comfortable and is truly a personable soul... and let's not forget about his assistant Jillian. She is the one who preps you before seeing the doctor, does the x-rays, and most importantly puts you at ease... which she has amazing powers to do... especially in stressful situations. Now that's a team!!! There have been numerous emergency procedures over the years, and the staff worked incredible magic to make sure I was seen. Brittney, for one, is a lifesaver. She worked extremely hard in finding me an opening and communicated continually with updates. Every office should have a Brittney!!! I also want to mention my regular dental hygienist Kim S. My gums are extremely sensitive and during cleanings if can be a tough job not to send me to the moon with a wrong move or sharp pain. Her personality is second to none and has an amazing sense of humor... which totally relaxes me and makes me feel comfortable. I live in North Carolina for the most part, but there is no doubt I will continue to travel to Arrowhead Dental for ALL of my dental needs. I have been going to Arrowhead since I moved to RI in 2013. I have been very pleased with their level of care, the friendliness of the staff, and the upfront pricing. I get regular cleanings, which are thorough and I am made as comfortable as I can be. The same is said whenever I have had to have problems addressed by the Dentist (Dr. Brendan in my case). I don't have a fear of the dentist but I do have an aversion to pain. I never have to worry about the team at Arrowhead. They check in and don't rush into the procedure until they are sure you are comfortable. I have had to have a couple of "emergency" appointments, when I lost a filling. They scheduled me quickly (depending on the severity, same/next day) and addressed the issue. Once it was an easy recementing and they didn't even charge me. I am a patient for life! read more

I've been going to Arrowhead Dental for five years and am very pleased with the care that they have provided. Everyone from the receptionist to hygienist to doctors to billing has been very professional, friendly and easy to work with. Today my regular hygienist, Morgan who I absolutely adore, was away so I met with a new hygienist Sarah and she was just as friendly, knowledgeable and skilled as Morgan. Now I have two hygienists that I admire. (I hope Morgan doesn't see this review because I don't want her to be upset.) Then I had a question about billing so I met with Mimi who was just as friendly and helpful as everyone else in the office. She understood my concerns and promised to look into it. No word of a lie... I have been going to this practice almost my entire life - let's call it 40 years. My kids are now life-long patients. Anyway, in all those years I've never - in any way - had a bad experience of any kind nor have my children. Still waiting for a dentist to call me back regarding the results of my recent cleaning (I've called 3 times to request a follow up) They DID contact me via text that apparently my in network "free" cleaning is going to cost me $17. They are so heavily booked for cleaning that it is virtually impossible to get both your covered cleanings in one year's time, wasting benefits that I pay for! Have never had the same dental staff of dentist, twice. They offer a poor patient experience and I will be looking for another dentist. I was a patient at Thundermist and decided to jump ship and try out Arrowhead. During my time at Arrowhead, I had routine cleanings, fillings, a root canal, and a crown. I highly recommend the endodontist. However, that is where my recommendations end. I had a filling done on my upper most back right tooth. During the appointment, the tool they use to "cure" the filling was dead so I waited with the filling material in my mouth uncured for a bit. They finished moments later. After the numbing wore off, I noticed it felt weird when I would drink cold water so I brought it to the doctor's attention. He said he did not so see anything wrong with it upon examining it, but I insisted to please double check. The dental assistant was very nice. They took an X-ray, and it showed the the filling was not sealed properly. So they had to remove the filling and fill it again. Since then, I have left Arrowhead. I had an appointment at Thundermist and they took new x rays of the area due to me complaining of some discomfort. On the x ray, they saw there was still decay remaining under the SEALED filling. I was shocked and disgusted. They now will be redoing the filling for a third time!! Sure Arrowhead has the latest and neatest technology. But if you don't know how to properly use it, what good is it? Thundermist has no gimmicks, they have no incentives for getting you to do treatment or add ons, and they know what they're doing. They take ALL insurance and offer payment plans. read more

This is an amazing dental practice conveniently located just off Rt 1 in Charlestown, RI. My Hygenist is Sarah. She has a nice touch and gives her full attention to you when u r in her chair. She noticed and brought up a lesion on my lower lip. None of the dentists had discussed this long standing problem with me. She made arrangements for it to b addressed. I went to Arrowhead 5 years ago when I was living in RI since I hadn't had a cleaning in two years. I picked them off good reviews from my coworker who was impressed with the work they did in finding/treating her cavities. Convenient location off Rt 1 and the staff and building were all super nice! Unfortunately the hygenist and the dentist that came to check in after my cleaning said I had 3 baby cavities that should be filled. I had never had a cavity in my life, but the dentist assured me sometimes that changes with time and tried showing me how his dental pick would get stuck in the molar. I scheduled for one filling to start, which went fine. I ended up moving away shortly after this and have seen 2 other dentists since then, and both say I (still) absolutely do not have any cavities. I asked specifically about the other two teeth Arrowhead pointed out and they double checked and still say there's nothing there, just some staining in the crevices. They have a well run operation, but perhaps get a second opinion before getting any work beyond a cleaning done. read more

I just had my teeth cleaned by a wonderful girl at Arrowhead Dental. Alyssa is one of the most thorough/professional hygienist's I've had in my life! Not only did she use a type of high pressure water device to clean off any plaque, but she also went back over each tooth and used the manual tool. Each option was VERY comfortable! I can't understand why people are afraid to have their teeth cleaned?? It's absolutely painLESS! She also applied the sticky fluoride at the end of the session so carefully, I forgot it was even on. My review is regarding the scheduling process only as I never saw a dentist or oral surgeon. I contacted Arrowhead to see an oral surgeon to begin the process to get an implant. I was told I needed to see a dentist at Arrowhead for evaluation before I could see a surgeon. Not a problem,made an appointment for two days later! Later the same day I received a call back informing me that the oral surgeons would see me directly, my appointment with the dentist for evaluation was cancelled and an appointment with the oral surgeon had been scheduled for the 5 weeks later. Fantastic! Today, less than 1 week before my appointment I informed that I can not see the oral surgeon without first seeing their dentist. Ridiculous! What a disorganized system, the scheduling personnel must not speak to each other, or someone realized I was only going to be paying for one appointment not two. Traumatic aggressive tooth extraction, dislocated my jaw in the process. Violent and disturbing. I was in tears. Dentist threw a Kleenex at me and left the room. It's taken me almost two years to get over the trauma. No patient education, no preparation for procedures. I was a loyal customer of Arrowhead for many years but had to move on after this. With growth came new faces, some rude individuals in checkout and hygiene. There were a few kind ones and of course Audra is the best but how can one person hold up a company by herself. This practice gets high marks from me & that is saying a lot since I am so dental phobic! I had to find a new dentist since mine had retired. After some networking, a few people had recommended this group. They were so right. The first thing you notice is that the office and all its treatment rooms have been renovated. Views out the windows are of lovely gardens and bird houses. Everything is digital and online. The xrays, the medical records, the scheduling... everything. You can book your next appointment while still sitting in the chair. Plus, you have the option of watching TV while receiving treatment! As I said above, I am really afraid to go to the dentist and this group has been wonderful. The assistants to my dentist, Dr. Stefano, have all been great. Even though I have not needed it, the practice does offer sedative gas. I understand that not many dentists still offer it. A plus! I highly recommend this group to everyone. Ive never been a fan of the dentist but now I really have no reason not to be. The first appointment I had, I was given a tour and a welcome bag with gifts! The staff was friendly, attentive and everything is clean and well cared for. There is a big waiting room with tvs, a charging station for phones and other devices, magazines and a kids room full of toys and books. My new dentist takes the time to explain and show me everything! There is a screen above the dental chair with a camera that takes pictures of any teeth that need attention and enlarges them so that you can get a full understanding of what you need to do or what needs to be done. My fears of going to the dentist are gone and I recommend Arrowhead to all of my family, coworkers and friends. They take a new approach to dentistry and it works!! read more
