The views are stunning, but the wines just weren't for us. I think we dumped each one in the tasting except for the last which wasn't actually part of it but poured as an extra. Our host was nice. There was a food truck out front. It was a beautiful day and we would have preferred to have our tasting outside where we could enjoy it instead of at the counter facing the wall. Oh well. This is my favourite winery in the Lake Country area. It is perched on the hillside overlooking the Okanagan Lake. When you enter their tasting room, you will see the breathtaking lake view on the left, and amaze by the beautiful tasing bar on the right. Wine tasting booking with their very knowledgable staff is recommended. I fell in love with their Wildblume sparkling wine (wildflower in German) named after the Arrowleaf Balsamroot flowers that grow on the hills of the Okanagan Valley each spring. I also like their Bacchus German wine that is perfectly refreshing. I recommend buying a bottle of wine and a box of charcuterie, and head to their outdoor patio to savour the beautiful nature. read more

We visited 5 wineries this day and out of all of them, Arrowleaf was by far the most beautiful and most fun. The man that assisted my group with the wine tasting was extremely outgoing, knowledgeable and approachable. You could tell he loved what he did. Now onto my favourite thing I tasted my ENTIRE trip... THE HAZELNUT CHOCOLATE CREAM PUFF ($9.5). This cream puff was delicious, fresh, masterful, beautiful, flavourful... did I say delicious? Whoever makes these is through and through a pastry chef. They know what their doing. Don't miss out on visiting this winery for the great wine, good vibes and the phenomenal cream puffs. read more

The ambiance, picnic area, views are fabulous. First time we selected our own tasting and paired with a classic box cheese, fruit, crackers. Next day I returned for a reservation for sit down tasting of wine cheese and chocolate pairings. What really amazes me is the quality of ALL the wines! Staff are terrific. Curated background, info, guidance, was excellent. Tasting included: Summerstorm 2024 w Sant André (brie), Chardonnay 2023 w Le Douanier from Quebec, Riesling 2024 w La Belle Vallée from BC, Field Collection Red w Manchego from Spain, Archive Reserve w local Karat chocolates. I left with a couple of bottles, cheeses and chocolate - and in spite of very long list of wineries to try, will make a point of returning from time to time. Arrowhead Cellars is another favourite winery that we try to come to annually. Tasting fee is $5.00/person, non-refundable. Make sure to take in the view on their patio along with their picnic area. All prices are before tax and bottle deposit. We bought a 2021 Wildblume ($25.00) for home. Love their sparklings (they used to have three types). Their pinot noir is also fantastic but it's now 20% more expensive. read more

Arrowleaf Cellars is one of my favourite wineries in the area. This is always on our itinerary whenever we come for a visit. We dropped in on a Friday (with 12:00pm reservations). This place is popular; highly recommend you reserve in advance. The lineup arrangement still needs work but the manager comes out to check on people. The view from their patio and picnic area is absolutely gorgeous. Tasting fee is $5.00/person and includes four pours. Each fee is waived with a bottle purchase. They don't showcase their wines well but the tasting fee hasn't changed in years. Besides wine, they offer picnic boxes and cream puffs (weekends only). Perfect if you want to relax and enjoy their picnic grounds. We bought a couple of bottles including a 2019 Pinot noir ($23.00), 2018 Silvester sparkling red ($26.00) and 2019 Summerstorm rosé sparkling ($22.50). - 2019 Wildblume - we always love their bubbly as they use a method cuvée charmand. Excellent. - 2020 Pinot gris - this one is also always solid. Lychee and citrus notes. - 2019 Field collection white - decent for a blend but not really memorable. - 2018 Field collection red - again, decent but not what we come here for. It is a beautiful setting. They have a nice picnic area overlooking the lake. Beautiful. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We had the first reservation of the day and covid protocols were very well adhered to. The young man taking care of us during our tasting was very knowledgeable and helpful. Arrowleaf Cellars is my favorite winery in the Lake Country area, which is approximately 25 minutes from downtown Kelowna. This is a family owned winery and the love they put into the place really shows. The style is on the cleaner and minimalist style, while still comfortable. There's a covered patio overlooking the water where you can enjoy your wine in the summer. The in colder months, there's heat lamps and blankets you can borrow. Outside on the grounds, there are picnic tables that look like they can be used for events. Definitely a really relaxing winery with a beautiful view. read more

This is an intimate, little winery on a picturesque hillside overlooking their vineyard and Okanagan Lake. The wines are good, in particular their award-winnng Bacchus is recommended. They also have a Vidal dessert wine which is an amazing alternative to dessert served over frozen grapes on a hot patio after a delicious meal. Keep in mind it is a dessert wine, so it is sweet but not as sweet as ice wine. I have never found the staff to be rude, perhaps more brief than some of the other large wineries but certainly helpful. My favorite thing about this winery is the grassy area overlooking the views, I have seen a few couples with a small wedding party get married here and have myself picnicked on their lawn - it is highly recommended. The wine shop also has a tiny selection of cheeses and crackers if you didn't bring our own. read more

Arrowleaf is, by far, our favourite winery in the region. We went to over 10 wineries that day (and 10 other wineries on a previous trip with friends), but Arrowleaf Cellars completely stood out from the rest. Let me name the reasons why I love thee: 1. True local and family-owned winery. Many of the big shops actually import their grapes from outside of Canada or are owned by large corporations (i.e. Mission Hill is owned by Mark Anthony Group). 2. Super affordable. Most bottles go for around $15-20 and they hold their weight. All of them are either Silver / Gold medal winners. This may not mean much, but if every one of their wines is an award winner, I think it says something. 3. Beautiful setting. If you're looking for a stop for a picnic lunch and not wanting to fork out $30 per person for a fancy lunch elsewhere, the tables are open to the public and yes, you are open your own bottle of Arrowleaf wine as well. We came out buying 6 bottles. And then came back the next day to buy another 3 bottles (because it is that good). This is a true hidden gem. This place gets packed (I think the secret is out), so I would advise coming early to avoid the crowds. 5 shining stars. read more

Wine snobs - stay away! I don't want you spoiling this almost-hidden gem. Arrowleaf is of my favourite places to stop around Kelowna; we usually make this our last winery on the way back to Calgary. They have a lovely view of a quiet part of Lake Okanagan, and have an outdoor picnic area that you can bring your own food to. It's a good place to finish off my leftover pizza from other meals in the week :) New tasting room has been open for a year now, and it is lovely, so disregard any reviews mentioning the decor of the old one. They now have both indoor tables and a patio seating area, where you can enjoy a glass of wine with some of the food from their new kitchen. A small but delicious selection of dishes was available earlier this month, including vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options. Very yummy soup! Plus plenty of desserts to tempt you. (Much to my delight, their separate picnic area has remained open, & you are still welcome to bring your own food there, if you wish.) This is an easy winery to downplay, given their affordable prices (some bottles are as little as $13, and you get 10% off a mixed case) but the truth is, their quality has grown considerably over the past several years. They placed second in the list of the top 25 wineries in Canada in 2015, and virtually every one of their wines won at least a bronze medal at this year's BC Wine Awards, which is impressive when you consider that many good wineries won few to no awards. Their Solstice Reserve was very popular at one of our wine parties recently, and Bacchus is a perennial fave in our home. Note that they currently close in January and February, & the Kitchen is only open during high season. read more

We went inside and the main thing the tasting staff wanted to make sure I understood was the the $5 tasting fee was not waivable. I said I will probably buy 1-2 cases of wine she said I don't care, we don't waive the tasting fee! I will never go back to that winery! Nor will I refer it to a sole! read more

Easily some of my favourite BC wine. Boyfriend and I stopped by here on our way to another winery - we actually didn't know about Arrowleaf at that point, but thought "hey, why not?" and thank the heavens that we did! At the time we were there it was a small tasting room, but well decorated. It was extremely busy, but the staff managed to squeeze us onto the end of the bar and take us through a tasting. I was astounded that this tiny place that I'd never heard of had some of the best wine I've had! I was in a white wine mood so ended up getting a bottle of the Bacchus and a bottle of the Gewurtz. Both are utterly delicious and I'm extremely sad they're gone... Looking into whether they have a wine club now! read more

This winery is wonderfully welcoming. We had pre-read that they have a picnic area where we would be able to consume our own food - and this is absolutely correct. We arrived as a group on 7 with 2 of our party being non drinkers, but they did have some really tasty iced tea available. We did a quick wine tasting inside before deciding to purchase 2 x half litres of the Bacchaus. Unfortunately you are not able to purchase bottles for consumption in the picnic area I believe due to licensing issues. The picnic area had lots of picnic benches and we didn't have any issue getting one at 12.30pm on a Saturday. The only reason this place is not getting 5 stars is there is quite a wasp issue which they are trying to control, but more traps may be necessary! I can't comment on the food available, but they do have a great selection of wine! read more

Out of all of the wineries we went to this is one of my favourites! The staff are very friendly and accommodating, the wine tastings were delicious and the view was breathtaking. This was the first winery of the day that my friend I went to in Lake Country. As we pulled up to the parking lot we noticed the beautiful big red rose bushes as well as the breathtaking view of the vineyard and lake. We were immediately greeted by one of the staff who welcomed us and asked us if we would like a wine tasting. Of course we said "Yes!" We started with their white wines. Their First Crush and Pinot Gris was delicious but my favourite was the Bacchus. It had a unique flavour - not too sweet and not too dry. We ended with their Pinot Noir which was also nice. I also liked their branding. It was classic,simple and beautiful. They have a beautiful patio overlooking the vineyard and lake. We were unaware that they had a restaurant. We would have stopped for a bite to eat but we already had reservations at another winery restaurant. After we made our purchase of wine, we went outside to take in the view. There are about 6 or so picnic tables that you can sit at and have a picnic. If you weren't into trying out their kitchen, this would be a wonderful alternative. PLEASE DO NOT MAKE MY REGRETTABLE MISTAKE: A reminder to call in and verify all food ingredients, food packaging and presentation (professional consultation necessary). As a party of four, we made a careful selection of pairings to accompany our wine to enjoy a beautiful sunny day in the Picnic area of Arrrowleaf Cellars. After collecting our carafes and glasses of wine and selecting our outdoor table we read the list of rules posted at the table end to make sure we were in compliance with the directives thus ensuring we upheld the etiquette of this beautiful location. In accord to the Liquor License maintained by Arrowleaf Cellars the wine in the Picnic area must be paired with food which you can elect to bring from home. Cheese and crackers is the recommendation laminated to the Picnic table. We laid out our Picnic, a selection with the birthday boy in mind (who had recently undergone surgery and we were very excited that he was now well enough to enjoy the day) a few candid photos were taken to capture our joy with breath taking views of the lake, our carefully selected wine and thoughtful pairings. A few moments into our quiet celebration at Arrowleaf Cellars we were approached by a staff member and asked to disband our Picnic. It was suggested to us that not everyone had the same definition of what qualifies as "food". This was confusing to us as what we had elected to bring something very similar to cheese and crackers and had opted for a plant based selection of well known brand named goods. We are not sure if this it was the cultural representation of our food, as it is very much a staple classic of our Nation, but we can assure you our food was not offensive, noisy, pungent, unaesthically pleasing, or disruptive to our neighbouring tables. Our items were not unlike any you wouldn't expect to see in most Picnic areas. Unfortunately, we were asked to dissolve our Picnic and return all items to our vehicle. We were then asked to vacate the Picnic area and were lead to the patio setting through the "no enterance" outdoor gate following our glasses carried by staff. We were escorted to a table where we were asked to finish our wine, amongst a very young crowd of boisterous bachelorette parties (lovely, youthful scene but we had preferred a quiet celebration for the advancing age of our dear friend). There is certain amount of embarrassment in public displays of being chastised for innocent misunderstandings and being publicly sequestered to unforeseen alternatives. We were in awe of the situation and a bit unsure how to act or on what grounds our food selection-or indeed, the appearance of ourselves-had been deemed inappropriate. With much regret and embarrassment I implore you to verify your selection of Picnic items before setting out to Arrowleaf Cellars. Be very specific in your inquiries making sure to have a list of all ingredients, brand names, potential allergens, cultural or ethnic dishes related to National favourites, plant based alternatives as well as packaging, table display and food arrangement. Secondly, I apologize full heartedly to my dear old friend on his most special day, many thanks for your carefree nature and your willingness to convene our Birthday Picnic to an alternative location. Arrowleaf, just across from Ex Nihilo Winery is another great choice if you are in Lake Country and want to taste something different than Gray Monk. They have upgraded their winery with a new tasting area and patio, as well as a picnic area. The great thing about the picnic area is that it is open to the public and you don't have to buy anything or pay to use (so if you just want to enjoy a bottle and the view, you are welcome to do so). Arrowleaf wines are different to the wines available at Gray Monk and Ex Nihilo. The wines are not my favorite but they are still pretty damn good. The tasting is free and you get a choice of four wines (best to bring someone with you) so that you can taste their various wines. My favorite so far from them has been the Zweigelt, a delicious, peppery red that pairs really well with a cut of steak (trust me). And at $20, is a very affordable red that is perfect for putting away in storage to age. Overall, Arrowleaf is a great winery to go to, especially if you have some time to kill, because once you see the view from the patio, it will be very hard to leave. read more

Good wines at this venue but what really stood out was the service. Our host ADDY, was super friendly and knowledgeable. She explained how the Okanagan region caters to certain grapes over others and was a big reason I wouldn't find many bold reds towards the northern wineries. However, she provided tastings based upon my taste preferences and I was more thanpleased. Not great. Washrooms are accessed from outside which is a bit difficult in the colder weather. Lovely staff. Wines, not so great. I was designated driver so didn't taste but my 3 friends did. Some were so bad (sweet) they were dumped into the bucket immediately. I think the reds are a bit better as one friend bought one bottle. Prices are better than some nearby wineries. I was a little disappointed with this winery. The wine was okay, a little but of a funny after taste but the lady serving us was a little rude. Maybe she wasn't happy that we showed up a few minutes before the store closed, or maybe it's because we look younger and she didn't think we would buy any wine. Regardless, when people treat me like that it buts me in a sour mood. We did end up buying a bottle of wine from this winery, actually, I think we bought a couple.... but I don't think I'll be going back any time soon. read more

We were very disappointed with this winery. The woman who was selling wine was extremely rude every response was answered with an extremely snippy retort. We were thinking of buying some wine but after watching this woman I walked out. We have been to many wineries all over this continent and to many in Europe , I have never encountered such ignorance. My sister and I stopped in and enjoyed the wine. We bought 6 bottles between us although the lady serving us was not the friendliest. We then decided to have a glass of wine and share a cheese plate on the beautiful deck. When I ordered a glass of Merlot I was told by the young girl serving at the kitchen that I couldn't have one as they did not have a bottle open. I was told I could open the bottle I had just purchased or buy another bottle. As we were travelling, I did not want an open bottle in my vehicle nor did I want to drink the whole bottle.
