He's Your best friend until he gets paid, then NEVER answers the phone. Did a descent job on resurfaced pool but left the tiles a mess and never came back to clean or finish the job. I really hate when people leave you worst than they started. The unfortunate part was he came highly recommended. Calls to rectify the situation fell on deaf ears. This company is a joke, they come in promising the world. They lie and say that the city requires reinforcement to get more money. A basic pool cost 87k and they forge the city permits saying it's only 30k. That's fraud! They all lie to you trying to get more money. Research, don't settle for pretty words. They are liars and theives. They stole my 10,500 dollars. They did no work but kept my entire money because I refused to give them 11k more. The city never said reinforcement was needed. STAY AWAY from ARROYO POOLS!!! They are an absolute nightmare! We signed our contract with them on November 6, 2017 and were told that our pool would be completed in early February of 2018. Well, that was NOT the case, these people didn't even get back to us until January 8th, 2018 when they told us that the pool plans were not approved and it had to be redesigned to meet the "standards". Which you would think they would have designed it correctly from the beginning since you know they do this every day! Well, that was an extra $722.00!!! Then we thought they would start excavating right away, NOPE! They didn't start excavation until FEBRUARY 23, 2018! They started our pool about a week after it was supposed to be completed! Then according to their Construction Schedule, we should have started swimming on May 12, 2018. That means that at that point EVERYTHING would have been completed...well wrong AGAIN! Our final inspection was on May 22! And they never finished because he would refuse to do the cleanup of all the debris, trash and dirt left behind by his company until we gave him a FIVE star review on all social media sites, google, yelp, you name it!!!! SO STAY AWAY, THEY ARE AN ABSOLUTE DISGRACE OF A COMPANY!!!!!!!! If you really care about your family, you will not put them through this(this is only a fraction of what we went through, there is much more), go with another company and make sure to do your research very well! read more

The worst "Company" if you can call it a company. We booked Arollo July 25,2020 to start our Dream pool which has become a nightmare. The pool design isn't the one we had agreed on we wanted a little pool area for my Daugther to play at and they did such an escalated level that there's not even going to be water in that area. Knowing it wasn't what we agreed and wanted they didn't change ir nor alter it. Also the tiles they showed us in the beginning aren't they ones they include. We had to pay extra $2,500 for tiles but it doesn't stop there. They did our pool so high that is not in level with our current patio floor. It's extremely un even and looks horrible!! Here's the next one they DON'T PUT A DRAINAGE !!! It says it on the county approval and we told him he has to put it on the Drainage and says that's also extra!!! HE NEVER ANSWERS THE PHONE! I would never recommend this company to anyone. We are the owners of a pool that this company installed less than a year ago. We are the second owners. Apparently they take no pride in their work. It's a salt water system. We just took over the property a few weeks ago. It began with an electrical explosion from wiring to the pool equipment four days after we moved in. The main positive wire from the pool into the main electrical junction overheated, blew up and melted. I called Arroyo to ask them to come out and left a message that was never returned. Two weeks later we discovered that the salt cell stopped producing salt and apparent malfunction perhaps caused by the wiring issue. We learned from the electrician that I had to contract myself that the wire used originally was the wrong size for the amount of voltage. Also, that it was junctioned into the main house line incorrectly and potentially unsafely. Two weeks later I emailed Arroyo again. This being 4/12/2017. The next day, still lacking any contact with Arroyo, I called them. The nice lady in their service department said she'd have to call me back on the warranty transferability. When she called she said the warranty was with the original contracting owner, not the pool itself. She declined to send me a a copy of this warranty. She did however, offer to send their company out for $85 plus repair expenses and parts. I declined. The nice lady claimed that this was the normal conduct of business for their company. Be that as it may I would never do business with a firm like this. If they don't stand behind their product, service and company why would anyone hire them. My wife and are in real estate and we will do all we can to prevent others from doing business with a company like this. Likewise, our friends, family, neighbors and the outlaying community will be made fully aware prior to contracting with this firm. Unfortunately I could not post this review absent any stars but if I could I would not given the one star. It is scary to me that a company or a contractor would not even set foot at our home to look at the problem, call me back, write me back, fix the problem, offer solutions, diagnose the problem or anything close to conducting good business. This is not a company I could ever recommend. Anyone reading this should bear this in mind prior to signing any service or contract with them. They may be very nice and polite, but is that good enough when you are writing checks in those amounts. I don't want nice. I want quality services and quality products for my money. I bought the house and paid for the pool they installed. A construction company that does not back or warranty their product is not a company destined for long term success. I suspect that in order to pass inspection the company may have exchanged money or favors for the inspector to look the other way for shoddy or inferior construction. I do not Recommend this company at all. I normally don't give bad reviews but felt I had to with this company. I will not get into all the details but Oscar was recommended to us by 2 friends that he did their pools. Wish I had read all his reviews before committing to him. We gave him a deposit back in January a pretty big one too compared to other companies that only ask for around $2000 just for a deposit. In September we decided to go with another company for our sanity because dealing with Oscar was giving us Anxiety. He pretty much never answers his phone and when you text him or email him expect a reply days after. He had to resubmit permits in August because we tried getting a Variance and it didn't work so we decided to do the pool exactly as to what was permitted by the city and he was aware as we gave him layout with all measurements. When he resubmitted the plans they turned in the original plans again from beginning of the year that were old and basically lost more time. We tried reaching out to him and he had a lady from his office only calls us days after like it wasn't important. When we finally spoke to Oscar my husband asked him to please return part of the deposit as we didn't expect to get everything back he said NO. All the issues we had with him were basically his lack of communication. We now started the process with a new Pool Company and WOW what a difference. Very poor experience from this contractor that begin as a wonderful relationship and ended with an extremely upset client ( myself ) with unanswered emails and calls, discrepancies with the proposal given by Oscar Arroyo/arroyo pools and the City plans. When we chose Arroyo pools Oscar was extremely nice until the contract was signed, from that moment on the situation became a nightmare. We will leave messages trying to arrange a time for the inspections since we had to leave the gate open, and unfortunately since this is a family business with no actual office ( husband and wife) the normal hours of operation 9 to 5 doesn't count, we will not hear back until a day or two. We began to worry and the feeling of we made a mistake when we pulled the plans from Dade county and did not match the proposal Oscar had left us. Concerned we called and sent emails to encounter a voice recording stating they will be out for close to two weeks. Given the address is a home address for their business ( which is ok) if the customer service will work we sent emails to see if someone will reach back to us with no success. Finally when we got a hold of Oscar and asked him to come to our house to discuss the issues mentioned above, his comments were he did not have the luxury of coming to our home ( I think the reasons above are more than enough for concern and a visit) again, if you don't have a physical office for a client to visit you, what other choice is left but have the rep come and visit you. Given the issues, the lack of communication, and the discrepancies on the plans we decided to cancel the contract and asked to be refunded with proper back up the money spent by the company in plans, staff and gas, time etc. At the beggining Oscar agreed and said he will send us an email with the details. We never received what he said, two days later he sent a cancellation contract basically stating we couldn't write any negative reviews and that $ 700.00 will be refunded. I will not be silenced with $ 700. This was my experience with Oscar from Arroyo pools and have left many more details not to extend the accounts. If I can prevent anyone from going through what I went through ( We lost close to $ 5,000) then my money was well spent. If you are looking for service, courtesy to clients and respect, this company, as per my experience, will not be the right fit. read more
