The internet itself was good. In the 5+ years I had it, I had no issues. The customer service is…read moreterrible. You first have to go through a computer AI support (terrible) before you can get to a human, which is based overseas. They struggled to understand me making me repeat myself multiple times. There response time and handling of service requests is also terrible. I was recently having work done on the outside of my house and the wire was accidentally cut. I had to wait 6 days to get someone out to repair it. I wasn't happy but it was my fault but luckily the contractor was able to splice it so I still had Internet. They came out, "fixed" it and left. An hour later, the internet still had not come back up so I called. I was told I'd have to wait another 6 days before they could come back out and try again. IMO the service tech should not have left until confirming it was working that failing they should have made me a priority since it was their failure. I understand employee shortages but their are methods of putting schedules together to bake in time for high priority calls. Needless to say I found another provider that was able to squeeze me in 2 days later.

That my home # is my caller I.D and 1 of them out of the 5 told me his employee number as my caller I.D. . Slap them silly and call me crazy! The other you wanna know how that went? Well one put me on hold for 45 mins. The other she did know 89% of what she was talking about but after we parted ways it all went South. Nothing she told me to do was on my tv. No channel 9900, also the new updated direct equipment doesn't have the caller I.D app Honestly these are overseas call centers or they are here on a visa Work program. What's not acceptable is they get paid for not being trained and putting us on hold until we hang up. They know wtf they are doing. Does the company?

Though the…read morehours were listed online when we arrived there was a note on the door saying not open til later due to staff shortages. We decided to wait for a bit since it was out of town for us. After a bit I was able to go in and sign in for assistance. The young lady that helped me out was very kind and courteous and took care of the return quite nicely. We have been Spectrum customers for years and have always found them to fair and helpful.

If you think that spectrum is your only option, look on the FCC broadband map to find other…read moreproviders in your area. Specifically in Bowling Green, OH. I would look into buckeye broadband instead. If they have fiber internet available for your address on the map, you CAN get it. I got their symmetrical 1gig unlimited plan on a discount, but the regular price for that plan is $105/month, which is almost the same price as spectrum for a better plan. The reviews for them are mostly for their older services. Fiber internet doesn't have the kind of problems they had, and I have yet to have a single blackout of service or slowing speeds. With spectrum, I had service outages at least monthly. If I'm paying $100 a month for a service, I expect that service 100% of the time. My speeds were also sometimes comparatively very slow. On my 1gig plan, I had times where it was down to 600mb/s That's still plenty fast for what I do, but if I wanted that speed, I would pay less for it. Spectrum's pricing is also very odd. $100/month for 1gig cable internet is at best an OK price. When compared to fiber, it's absolute garbage, but for cable it's fine. Where they make no sense is their TV packages. When I moved, the employee on the line told me that their TV package would be free for the first month, and then $10/month after that. It was $100/month additionally added to my bill on the first month. If I wanted to spend $100/month on TV, I could just get every major streaming service. Even then, I'd still have to take ~$20 and burn it just to meet that price. When I finally got on the phone to get them to remove the service, My internet price jumped up $40/month from where it was before I moved. When I went to cancel my services, the employee blatantly lied to me about the speeds provided by a competitor in my area, and took 30 minutes trying to get me to keep the service. You would think that after I told them multiple times that I wasn't interested in keeping the service and that I already had the other internet service installed, they might realize that they weren't getting anywhere, but I guess they don't teach them to use common sense. The one saving grace is that their in-store employees at Bowling Green were nice the few times I went in. I would recommend you go into the store instead of getting on a call. The people spectrum hires to answer the phone aren't from the area, and half the time you can't understand what they're saying. I would never recommend Spectrum services to anyone, and I would highly recommend that you look into competitors. If I could give 0 stars, I would.

I went with the only option (DirecTV) and was disappointed in the lack of user-friendly options, the remote wasn't easy to use, all the little bonuses of DISH weren't available like Remote Finder, Light up Remote, etc. Basically DIRECTV was terrible and their customer service was horrible, particularly after they were purchased by ATT. I moved back to Ohio 2 yrs ago and just brought DIRECTV with me. Recently I finally gave up after a really bad ongoing experience with their IT helpdesk and called DISH, the person I spoke with "Dan" from "El Paso" was FANTASTIC! He was so easy to deal with, easy to understand, and took care of all my needs in a matter of minutes. The DISH tech rep was out 2 days later, hooked everything up and now... for $30 less a month, I have a better system, with more channels and better customer service. If you cannot get cable where you are, go with DISH!

After that year, they triple your monthly service and refuse to adjust your bill. So, they tell you that you either have to pay or cancel. I canceled my service; the agent I got was horrible and my service over the last year has been mediocre at best. My advice is to go with DirectTv or even cable. Biggest mistake I ever made was switching to Dish.
