The office was large, and very inviting, that being said, my care, by PA Domenico was such a positive experience.

Miserable, I found City MD open! Hooray! Staff was professional and polite. I saw a PA within 15 minutes. After examining me and asking pertinent questions, she ordered 2 prescriptions for me and gave me clear instructions about home care. There's a CVS basically next door where I got my scripts filled and purchased the other things suggested by the PA. I was grateful they were open on the holiday, and impressed with the care I received. Great stuff.

I explained my injury twice, yet he initially said there was nothing he could do and didn't even want to examine my injury. I had to insist that he take a look. Once the nurse told him it was a work-related injury, his entire demeanor changed. Suddenly, he wanted me to see an orthopedic doctor and come back every 3 days. He refused to give me a referral and instead wanted the front desk to make the appointment for me. He also wouldn't allow me to choose an orthopedic doctor from their referrals. I left feeling very confused and uncomfortable about the whole experience. It felt like the treatment changed once they found out it was a workers' compensation case. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this urgent care.

My recent visit with Dr. Bhatt went well. He has great bedside manners and also asked me if I had any questions after giving his diagnosis. Very thoughtful and compassionate MD. I only gave a 4 because I'm attempting to follow-up about a note I received and it's very difficult to get in touch with anyone at the front desk. I left a message from this morning and haven't heard back from them quite yet. Nobody appears to answer the phone, only an answering machine. Hopefully I hear back from someone.

I noticed one other person in the waiting room. I was told there wer three people ahead of me, that the wait would be about an hour. Understood. After completing the kiosk sign-in I was sent another link to complete the information sheet. In as much as I had to do that on my phone, it took some time since my phone isn't a tablet. I guess it makes sense, but the new technology in this industry takes some getting used to, especially when your from the baby boomer group and accustomed to completing forms on paper. No problem. After completing that step, I was called to a waiting room to await the check-up. After about 10 minutes an assistant took my vitals and said the doctor would be in soon. I waited another 35-40 minutes and the doctor came in, assessed my symptoms and cleared me of strep. I was happy to know that. I would have given them more stars, but I didn't feel valued as a patient. I realize it was a Saturday evening and many came after me, but the attitude was more mechanical rather than caring. I am not sure I'd return, but it's definitely better than going to the hospital.

Seemed ridiculous never had a doctor do that before but i moved on. I had received a call from their office saying i had covid the year prior and then when i called back to get proof for work, took multiple days to get any response. Very disappointed with the office as a whole, feels like a cash grab at every turn. To call someone 3 years later for a no show fee after the individual and his spouse expressed disappointment with your office is crazy. Staff and doctor are very kind, don't get me wrong but you're going to pay more here then anywhere else. In my 35 years on this earth I've never had a primary care doctor request payment for a phone call during regular business hours. It is also worth mentioning that i was not advised ahead of time that there was a fee for a phone call with blood work results, we were told we don't need to come in she will call with results and then they requested payment before giving us information. Paying for a 2 minute phone call feels ridiculous, calling for a no show fee 3 years later is even more obscene.

My experience with Goal Family Medical has been extremely disappointing and stressful. Today, I was…read moredenied service because of a $29.00 balance that I wasn't able to pay at the time. I'm currently out on maternity leave, and being turned away in front of other patients made me feel humiliated and brought me to tears. I understand that offices have policies, but the lack of compassion and flexibility was deeply upsetting. On another day, I had an appointment scheduled for 1:30 p.m. However, because the staff went back and forth with me about my balance and the receptionist failed to mention beforehand that I needed to list the doctor as my primary care provider, my check-in process was delayed. Then, I was told the office would be closing for lunch and that I could either leave or wait. I asked why they would schedule an appointment for 1:30 knowing they go on break at 2:00, but I didn't receive a clear answer. Another receptionist stepped in and said it was because I was two minutes late -- again, I had my newborn with me and was delayed due to parking at the office building. Most places offer a small grace period, but here there was none. This was especially frustrating because these appointments are very important to me. I was preeclamptic during pregnancy and suffered from eclampsia postpartum, so I still have serious health concerns that need to be monitored. Despite that, I felt like my situation and efforts to make it to these appointments were not taken into consideration at all. I no longer live on Long Island -- I drive from Queens just to see Dr. McGeachy -- and I have been a patient here since early 2024. Unfortunately, this wasn't my first disappointing experience with Goal Family Medical. When I was one month postpartum, I was running a few minutes late due to the rain, and it was also my first time traveling from Queens (I used to live in Freeport). The receptionist called, and I told her I was only about four minutes away. She said "okay," but when I arrived, I was told my appointment had been canceled. She could have told me that over the phone, and I wouldn't have been upset. That was only my second time out with my newborn, and it was very upsetting to be treated that way. Overall, my recent experiences with this office have left me feeling unsupported, dismissed, and unvalued as a patient. I truly hope the management and staff at Goal Family Medical take steps to improve their communication, compassion, and understanding -- especially toward new mothers and patients dealing with ongoing health issues.
