Teressa was a huge hit at our son's first birthday party! We were blown away by her talent, and I loved that she was so personable with all of my guests. I did not want to provide goody bags with items parents were going to dread taking home and eventually having to toss, and these portraits with personalized paper was a big win! She even provided a complimentary portrait of my son in color which she did before the event and it turned out so cute! From inquiry to booking to day of, Teressa was great and I would 100% recommend booking her for your next party or event!

Ms Teressa was so great! I booked her for a birthday party after getting several quotes. Booking was super easy and she was very responsive. My HOA requires proof of insurance when using facilities and she totally took care of providing the documentation so I had one less thing to worry about! Which is huge when you're planning a big (to me) party. Day of, she communicated early that she was running late but I totally missed the text. No problem! She was there barely late. EVERYONE loved the caricatures! And they all commented how talented she is. I couldn't agree more! Would definitely book again to try out her face painting. read more

Established in 2008.

It started with a Google search, my kids and some face paint at Walmart. Over a decade later I have expanded my business to include multiple service options that allow me to use and share my creativity with so many people. From events at convention centers to a first birthday party, I am able to bring a little bit of unique fun to every event.

Meet the Business Owner: Teressa K.

Welcome! I am the Lead artist and owner of Art by Teressa King. I am an OC native and have a B.A. in Studio Art, with a focus in portraiture. Prior to shifting to Art Life full time, I was employed by Marriott, Superior Courts, Sheriff Department, Childhelp group homes and GGUSD autism specific classrooms. All of these experiences have given me a wealth of knowledge in customer service and the tools needed to work with people of all ages, as well as temperaments. Spencer arrived right on time and had everything set up in just 2-3 minutes. We booked 1.5 hours of balloon twisting ($265), and it was a huge hit with everyone - from toddlers to adults! There was a constant line of guests waiting for their turn throughout the entire 1.5 hours! I had requested for just one artist to do both and they were able to staff exactly that. I received the name of the artist before the event. Kimberly was punctual and very good at both arts. To prevent a long line and kids losing time on the ice, I made a sign up sheet for the balloon requests so Kimberly work on them while the kids were skating. This method worked out very well. My daughter had a glow in the dark themed Sweet 16 birthday party. Teressa was recommended by an event planner. She arrived early, she set up quickly and began work. Ms. Teressa was very professional and creative with her designs. Whatever the teens asked for she was able to design and I appreciated yhe way she interacted with the guest. My daughter and her some of her friends liked their art work so much, they agreed to leave it on and go to cheer practice with it the next morning. I hired Terresa for a Paint Nite party at my home in celebration of my birthday. Everyone who attended a total of (15 ladies) were so pleased and impressed of how attentive and patience she was while instructing us on painting. When it was all over we all felt like artist. Spencer arrived right on time and had everything set up in just 2-3 minutes. We booked 1.5 hours of balloon twisting ($265), and it was a huge hit with everyone - from toddlers to adults! There was a constant line of guests waiting for their turn throughout the entire 1.5 hours! One of the best parts is that balloon twisting requires virtually no setup space, making it easy to fit into almost any party layout (just be prepared for the line that forms!). 7/5/26 (3rd time event with twist and shout)…read more I booked them again for my daughter's birthday at an ice rink in Westminster. I did the combo face painting and balloon twisting package. I had requested for just one artist to do both and they were able to staff exactly that. I received the name of the artist before the event. Kimberly was punctual and very good at both arts. To prevent a long line and kids losing time on the ice, I made a sign up sheet for the balloon requests so Kimberly work on them while the kids were skating. This method worked out very well. All the kids enjoyed her balloon creations and face painting. She even labeled the animals with each child's name to prevent someone else from taking them. I love twist and shout events!
