My friend made the mistake of putting the $50 hold on her credit card. When I tried to check out at 6 AM (friend was sleeping), I wasn't able to pay for her room because of this $50 charge on her card. What?? The early morning clerk was a young lady with no knowledge and no power. She offered to call her manager but at 6 AM that seemed like a bad idea. I knocked on my friend's door but she was still sleeping. So for this little simple thing, we were very inconvenienced and it took me too long to get going on the road. I just opened my credit card bill two weeks later to find that $50 security charge on my card still there. I had to call this morning and they told me they didn't know anything about it. They removed it, they said but I don't see it. They advised me to call my bank. Sure, I should spend a long time on the phone because on their policies? No, thanks. I don't know if I would stay here again. I don't want to have to go through all the hassles and phone calls to pay. Seems as though the company could simplify this somehow.

Okay, here goes That was our second trip to Lavender Crest and it was nicer than the first. It's just off the I-80 and they have the most beautiful facility. My limited notes are from six years ago with Melanie as an outstanding server and our last encounter with a very pleasant, Christina. The service is excellent, the food is excellent. I look forward to the wine tasting, as well. Very knowledgeable attendants and not too stingy on the pours. Yes, we tip generously and usually walk out with a case or two. So who's zoomin' who?
