As it turns out, the property is literally the home of the staff. It is run by a husband and wife crew, along with relatives who pitch in to get the entire property ready for their events. They provide several packages at varying prices, and leave the option to use their home as a backup in the event of bad weather. Most of the food is made on-site, again by the family. My sister and her fiance had chosen a sunset wedding, so we started the event with dinner, a choice of baked chicken (huge portions) or BBQ ribs, along with some pastas, potatoes, salad, bread, and corn. We learned later that the BBQ was prepared by a local restaurant, which was ok because the ribs were fantastic! The ceremony itself was simple but elegant, with chairs set up and decorated in the wedding party's colors, as well as candles and some tree decorations to complete the backdrop. Afterward, cake was provided again by a local business owner, and it was also fantastic! Champagne was also provided as well as glassware. Finally, we were treated to a small, yet pleasant fireworks display that kept the kids entertained. The staff was great, very helpful and never in the way. Even the young boy who was there helping was very courteous and helpful to the guests. The owner is also a certified minister, in case your party does not have someone to officiate the event. I would recommend anyone looking for a reasonably priced outdoor venue to take a look at Stouts' Serenity Acres! The staff is amazing and very friendly. This used to be my husband's family in a little town in Iowa. The new owners have added a Lavender…read morefarm and several Airbnb's on the property. We brought three grandsons here to experience the farm that grandpa grew up on. They are big city kids and thoroughly enjoyed running free over the empty cornfields and lovely walking trails. The Lavender suite itself is lovely! High-end appliances fireplace, and fire pit However we came in March and it was pretty cold. I have some mobility problems. I don't use a wheelchair, but I have to have pretty easy access to shower and such. This place was perfect. They also have some tree houses that would be fun, but that would be difficult for me and this place. There's plenty large enough to sleep five or six. The grandkids said they wanna live here. That made me very happy because I was worried that they might be bored. There are no theme parks here. they loved exploring the woods and the frozen creeks along the walking trail. The hosts could not be more perfect. We were responsive. But left us to our family time!

The Millers were the most accommodating and helpful people throughout the entire process! They are responsive, reasonable and dedicated to making your event perfect! I can't say enough great things about them! The place itself is clean, has all the details you could think of while also being blank canvas to decorate as you please! The lounges are HUGE and include full bathrooms. The guest bathrooms are spacious and have enough for large events with no lines! The ceremony space outside is beautiful! I would HIGHLY recommend this venue for any medium-large event! We had 140 people at our wedding and had plenty of room for a large dance floor and both a video guest book, Photo Booth and the buffet line. 10/10 I would choose them 100x over!
