At least three times I had to re-send my emails to Kelley because of non-response - to which he's always reply "oh, I am sorry I thought I repliod". At one point I tried to call him due to non-response via email - his voicemail was full, so left with no other options I sent him a text- three days later I still had not heard from him. He posted a status update on facebook so I commented on it to please call me. Funny how he immediately called me within 30 seconds of posting that once the public could see it. I had two phone conversations and multiple email conversations about our first dance song - a simple "skip" forward to a second song after one minute and 20 seconds into the first one. A grade schooler could perform this on their iPod - I even OFFERED him my iPod with the "playlist" already set up for the first dance - he said no, it won't be a problem. Wedding day our first dance and we never heard the second song - my husband and I kept dancing waiting for the second song to play and it never did. I informed Kelley of this the day he came to pick up his equipment at our place (we were nice enough to allow them to pick it up Monday instead of having them pick it up Sunday)...to which he responded with absolutely no concern or remorse "Oh really, sorry". Then didn't miss a beat and went on about picking up his equipment. He already had his money so it obviously wasn't a care of concern of his. I expected more for spending almost $1000 on this Dj and the fact that his mother is good friends with my friend and photographer (and how I even heard of him in the first place). Twisted Mics may of been customer service oriented at one time but they are not now and it was a complete waste of money. I'll never get my first dance back that I planned painstakingly for months.

Palace Events provided drapery, lighting and a chandelier, which created the perfect setting! Courtney was the coordinator we worked with and she was polite and very organized. She also was proactive in seeing an issue with the lighting and fixed it before I had to mention anything. In addition, we used their Standard Photo Booth and were so glad we did! Despite having multiple meetings and providing a detailed timeline, music list, and phonetic name pronunciations, several key things went wrong. The wrong song was played during the bridesmaids' walk down the aisle -- a moment we had clearly outlined and discussed more than once. The maid of honor's name was mispronounced during introductions, even though it had just been reviewed and was written out phonetically. Later, when my dress wouldn't bustle right before our first dance (scheduled for 8:15 -- still well within our contracted time until 11), the DJ stood nearby repeatedly asking, "How long will this take?" staring at me in a way that felt uncomfortable and unnecessarily pressuring, during what was already a stressful moment. While the songs we had requested were played during the cocktail hour and dancing, there was little to no crowd engagement, and the dance floor stayed mostly empty. It didn't feel like any effort was made to read the room or adjust. What truly pushed this over the edge was the complete lack of professionalism after the fact. I emailed the company -- addressing these issues in a calm, respectful way -- and never received so much as a reply or apology. For a company that claims to be experienced and professional, that kind of silence is unacceptable. Weddings are high-stakes, once-in-a-lifetime events. I expected better -- both in preparation and execution, and especially in follow-up. I would strongly caution others before booking with them.
