They just changed from Be Gorgeous. The location I went was 119 W 57th St # 520. The first time i went for my appointment, the staff was 30 minutes late. It was very unprofessional that a customer needed to wait outside of the door for that long. I called to cancel the appointment one time after 5pm, the lady who picked up the phone doesn't know English well. And I was told it was the wrong phone for Be Gorgeous. The treatment I purchased was 6 times laser package. Now it's all done, and no hair is permanently removed. I'm very disappointed for the result for the amount of money I spent. read more

I had a very good experience with Rosse at Be Gorgeous Esthetic. She is very nice and explained that having any procedure with her is not just about the procedure alone, but that she wants each of her clients to feel better and be healthier. She likes to advise her clients about a healthy diet and holistic ways of enhancing any results of treatments she administers. Overall she seemed very open about her qualifications and desire to help people. A previous review mentioned that she is not licensed. This is not true. I made an appointment through their website..me being me I decided to call a few days later just to ask hmm am I confirmed ? Well I called yesterday two times straight to voice mail and I left a voice mail then I decided to call again today -someone said the same thing someone else said the person who does the scrubs has to call you back. When I inquired when they said within the hour- the only thing they got right was within the hour. I was left a detailed message about how they are completely booked for all lifebooker deals ? I had my first lipo cavitation session yesterday. Let me start by saying that although it seems a little early, i can already see a difference. I haven't stopped using the bathroom since. Absolutely terrible! Have you ever heard of calling a spa to find out - there is no appointment book?! For a service already purchases on line?? I bought a body scrub on line and called to make an appt. The girl on the phone told me she didnt have the appt book and someone would call me back. No one ever called me back. Called 3 times last night and went to a machine. called this morning and they said they'd call back. Never did. Just called again and said the actual person who does the scrub has to make appointments herself and would call me back. I said I already paid for this, the girl on the phone was arrogant and was indifferent to me saying I would reuqest a refund a go somewhere else. Spa is supposed to take stress away, not add to it!! WORST experience EVER. If I could post a review and NOT give any stars, I would, but I want to warn others away from this sham. I have been trying to make an appointment for 5 days now. I have called no less than 6 times and left 3 messages. I emailed them through their website and then to their gmail address. NO ONE has bothered to return either a call or email. Don't bother with this place. I am now trying to get my Groupon refunded. **UPDATE** Regarding the business owner's response of an "emergency", it takes mere seconds to return someone's phone call or email. The fact that Rosse didn't bother to do this for a whole week is incredibly poor business practice. I see that I am not the only potential customer who was ripped off here. And as an FYI, Groupon is not great at responding to this situations and managed to further drag out the situation far longer than necessary. Refunding the customer's money in this situation immediately would have sorted out the issue IMMEDIATELY. I would suggest that Groupon reviews the services that it offers. read more

overall, i had a good experience at Be Gorgeous Spa. unfortunately, my lipo-cavitation sessions there were bookended by 2 truly horrible visits. like many of the previous reviewers, i found this medispa via lifebooker. i have been an athlete all my life (tae kwon do, volleyball, lacrosse, yoga), eat well and exercise on a regular basis. but no matter what i do, i cant seem to get rid of that spare bicycle tire ringing my lower abdomen. determined to get rid of my inner thigh and lower belly pooch once and for all, i purchased EIGHT treatments (a five-pack and 3 individual sessions), maxing out the limit of loot allowed/customer. my first appointment was an absolute sh!tshow. i booked online for a 6:30 appt, left work early the day of and what do i find? not one, not two but THREE other women waiting for 6:30 appts. of course i was upset. by the time Rosse saw me, it was almost 8:00. to her credit, she was extremely apologetic and handled the situation as best she could. on to the actual treatments. overall, Rosse has an excellent bedside manner and is very invested in doing the best job she can for her clients. one time, she even gifted me a mask sample, simply because she wanted me to try the best she could offer. she also offers nutritional advice tailored to complement the treatments, but lets be honest, of course id lose weight eating nothing but veggies, fruits and legumes, it's just not practical for me though. oh well. after four treatments (about two/week, spaced 3 days apart), i had yet to see any improvement in weight lost or inches lost. i was a little discouraged, but Rosse explained that it was bc my particular fat was especially resilient, "harder" in density than her clients of other ethnic backgrounds (the first ive heard, but ok...). i dont have a lot of body fat to lose, so i'd expected some results after my first few visits. to be fair, i did bump into another client receiving the same lipo-cavitation treatments who was gushing about her progress (five pounds lost in 2 treatments and significant inches lost from her lower abdomen). but all good things must come to an end and i completed my eighth session the other night. i was booked for a 7:45pm appt, but received a call at 7:15 asking if i could come earlier. first of all: UNPROFESSIONAL. calling 30 min before a scheduled and confirmed appointment to see if a client could please hurry it up? you dont know where i am, i could be coming from super far away! whatever, i was finishing up at work anyway, so i dashed over, arriving short of breath and heaving, just past 7:30. nobody was there i waited 5 min. 10 min. 15 min. after 20 min, it was past my scheduled 7:45 time. i called Rosse and was connected with her assistant, who proceeded to tell me to just stay put (no apology), that Rosse had to run out to buy something. isnt that what an assistant is for? it takes two people to go buy something? upset, i asked her why she would rush me and leave the office unattended. got hung up on. awesome. by the time Rosse finally waltzed in at 8:00pm, i was livid. i was not offered a WORD of apology and was instead instructed curtly to go undress and get ready for the treatment. WTF?! whatever emergency product she had to go buy was not in evidence. she performed the treatment in under 30 min and sent me on my merry way. so that was incredible, to say the least. anyway, after 8 treatments i can safely say i still see no results. to reiterate, Rosse is a very kind person and clearly passionate about her work, but i suppose im just an anomaly. so maybe if you have a lot of body fat, lipo-cavitation can work for you, but people looking to sculpt or tone up (or have some super-dense, ethnic-specific body fat), dont count on it. read more
