Polished From Start To Finish "Discovered" SKINSPIRIT on the West Coast. And thought I'd try them on the East Coast. Bottom line: (Near) Perfection all around. Great treatment, a warm professional therapist and a serene relaxing experience. There was the usual "what products do you use?" and recommendations for (aka attempt to flog) products they carry. That's normal. Where SKINSPIRIT gets brownie points is not only did the therapist tell me that my routine was "too much", when I politely declined SkinSpirit products, she still offered a handful of samples and said if you change your mind, I'll leave all the information on your file & you can just call or pop by to order. Nicely done, SkinSpirit. The spa is gorgeous, the experience serene and failed to disappoint. So, why dock one star? Their website. You cannot see treatments until you start the BOOK process, the order of treatments is an utter mess, and the website does little explain the difference between treatment Put it this way: every time I book, I have ordered the "wrong" treatment -- and the therapist needs to correct & / or tweak the options. Clearly the web offering is a hot mess (or as we say in Britain "the dog's breakfast"). Why the website does not a) have a smart filter (to weed out products by "areas of concern", "sex", "problem areas" b) ability to sort products by price &/or benefit c) better product descriptions d0 information on who the treatment is best for and e) option to compare treatments is utterly beyond me. What an amazing experience with Dr. Liz. I had a first round of Morpheus. She explained the procedure every step of the way. Went in to do a consult with Heather Rypien, RN for Botox. I have some knowledge of it but of course hearing more from a pro is always better. Imagine walking into a building off the streets of the UES. Right as you enter down 2 stairs to your left is a gold sign with "Skin Spirit" you open the door and a clean beautiful space presents itself. It is pristine clean but with a warm feeling and doesn't feel like a medical facility at all which invites you in. 1) I made the big mistake and thought my appointment was on Tuesday when it was on Wedenday. ‍ But the staff was amazing! They reached out to Heather to see if she could squeeze me in. I did have time to wait and since I did have to travel over I was grateful for them seeing what they could do. Otherwise I would of rescheduled since it was my fault. Kindly enough Heather hustled her way from Soho to get there a bit before her first appointment to see me. Talk about customer experience and service 2) Heather herself is a lovely personality. She is bubbly, knowledgeable and was detailed of how the process goes, what happens and the small percent of possible bad. This was my first time every doing anything like this and she made sure to make me comfortable. It is $20 per cc. If you come for a botox consultation you do not have to get the procedure but to my surprise you can get it in that same appointment saving you a trip. Make sure though not to of had any alcohol the day before, one glass of a wine wont be the end of the world but if you went out partying the night before I recommend you come back for your skins sake. Expierence for NEW botox goers: You will make a face and get marked up. She then inserts a needle in those spots. It isn't painless but isn't painful either. Hurt a tiny bit more at the top of the forehead thanks to the thin skin around there. If you are new I highly reccomend this spot and Heather. She also mentioned me to reach out with any concerns via IG which I just wanted to clarify some aftercare and she got right back. TIP: I would recommend the place sends after care instructions as well to the client, especially for first timers like myself. As I understand aftercare is also just as important as Heathers work itself. ** Update: Appears they had an IT issue and after my revie promptly sent me the instructions. I will update on results as it takes a little to see and I am only on 24 hours since injection. read more

I saw Heather Rypien when she was at the office of Steven Pearlman several years ago for lip filler. I don't get my lips done often but wanted a bit more volume in my very thin upper lip recently, and remembered how subtle and elegant the result was. I am careful about which injector after going elsewhere and getting those "cookie cutter instagram" lips that are not at all my style. After doing some digging I found that she is now at SkinSpirit UES and made an appointment. I am so happy with the results! She listened to exactly what I wanted and balanced my lips with the rest of my face.
