The seating area is plush and inviting, which you'll be waiting at until your tech comes to get you; although the wait time hasn't been long and you're probably in and out within 15 minutes. My tech, Julia, has been very thorough, welcoming and knowledgeable. She made sure that I was comfortable throughout the procedure (granted the pain level is little to none). The equipment at this location is of the latest technology, ensuring a painless experience. Prices are reasonable and they have Groupon deals for this location as well. I returned two days later to wax my legs and get a clean up of the hair left by the first tech. I was fortunate to get Daeja who was thorough, and she touched each area as soon as it was waxed, which helped to soothe the immediate pain. I quickly changed my next appointment from the first tech to Daeja. If you don't like walking barefoot on sketchy floors, I suggest bringing a pair of slippers when getting a leg wax. Also, I bought several of the recommended products and broke out so severely, I had to see a doctor who prescribed anti inflammatory meds. Check the ingredients before buying the products or do a patch test to ensure it agrees with your skin type. I look forward to my next wax with Daeja because I know she will be thorough and she is customer-friendly. I'm rating my second experience in this survey, not my first visit. If I rated my first visit with the other tech, I would have to rate it one star.

Now that I moved a few subway stops away, it takes me a bit longer to get to this location but it's still closer than Grand Central and plus with the Wax Pass offer, you get an extra free wax by going to this location for all of your waxes. I always sign up for the wax pass offer when it's available because you get 2-3 waxes free and it's an overall discount on the service as well. Over a month ago I made an appointment at SkinSpirit for botox. It is a brand new business located inside a residential building on a residential block. There didn't seem to be anyone there for an appointment either before me or after me, so desperate for customers. The injector, Christina, was extremely heavy handed. The way she injected and amount of botox she injected caused both of my eyes to droop and left me with almost no movement in my forehead, except just slightly and in a strange way on the right side. The manager Ilysha could not care less about what was done to me and her only interest seems to be her cushy job and falsely promoting this business. My husband, who feels horribly for me and warned against such treatments, posted reviews about what SkinSpirit did to me, but the SkinSpirit manager complained to Yelp about him posting an honest review and Yelp removed it! He posted another honest review and SkinSpirit contacted Yelp and they removed that one as well! He had accurately wrote that I have been left looking like I had a STROKE by SkinSpirit. The destruction to my appearance caused by SkinSpirit is temporary, but it will still take long to fade and this is emotionally difficult to deal with, especially after other things that I had recently been through. If you are reading this consider yourself warned. If you feel that you must have such treatments then stick with a reputable dermatologist or plastic surgeon who you know to be trustworthy. Businesses like SkinSpirit are a dime a dozen in NYC and they just want to grab your money with complete disregard for results or safety. Also, I agree that SkinSpirit is terrible name that is not memorable and just doesn't roll off the tongue. Update: The manager had no interest in what was done to me when I contacted her weeks ago, so don't believe her comment posted to my review. She is SkinSpirit's Propogandist with her many fake reviews and phony responses. I very much regret the day I went to this business. read more

I'm new to this spa/clinic overall, but I've been a client of Wanda's for 3 years now. when I tell you I will follow her everywhere I'm not even kidding! she is hands down the best aesthetician around. She is knowledgeable, professional, and insanely talented. She isn't just your regular or average esty, there are so many aestheticians and skin professionals out there that it's hard to trust or find anyone whos truly there for your needs and your goals. But Wanda is it you really will need to look nowhere else, I want to be able to tell everyone about her because she's changed my skin and therefore changed my life. she will never steer you wrong! I visited Skin Spirit a week ago and waited to write my review so I can give an accurate review of my experience and results. I went in for PRF EZ Gel injections under my eyes and in my temple hollows. Parking was super easy and the building is stunning. The office itself is very peaceful and feels cozy. I saw Dr. Elizabeth and PA Christina. Both were very professional and I would highly recommend a visit with either one of them. I found skin spirit because Dr Elizabeth has been doing my Botox, Morpheus and Lip Filler for years, and now she offers EZ Gel PRF at Skin Spirit so I had to try it. It is a week later and I am fully healed and no swelling. I have to say I wasn't sure what to expect with the EZ gel because I've gotten PRP in the past and I bruised so I was planning on being bruised after this visit but I was not! I was able to go out and about my day and week to follow and for me this is huge. I always have to plan downtime so knowing I can get PRF EZ Gel from Dr Elizabeth and PA Christina at Skin Spirit on a Monday and still go about my business the rest of the week is a game changer. Danielle was the first person at a retail location able to confidently answer all my questions, it is clear she is well-versed in EMSculpt treatment and has been attending ongoing training on best practices in the use of EMSculpt. She was very forthright in EMSculpt's benefits (e.g. if you have a fat layer, it might not be as effective) and drawbacks (e.g. if you don't continue EMSculpt maintenance treatments, you might not sustain the improvements you received via EMSculpt akin to going to a personal trainer 7 days a week then dropping down to 1 day a week). The office was well appointed and conveniently located near a subway station. Although I did not end up actually buying anything after taking up so much of her time, she was very gracious. I will definitely return.
