Even with the gift voucher they charged a $50 tax and service fee which they asked for up front. Kind of odd to me, but at least it wasn't sprung on us at the end. The place is very clean and the massage itself was really good. I prefer it strong and my masseuse was able to do that.

I went about two years ago at this new location and was not impressed and my experience recently confirmed they are more concerned about making money than providing good service. We called for an appointment and we were told to come. When we got there the elevator was not working (not working for several days) but was not told ahead of time. If they and they did - tell your customers ahead of time. The service was just okay and has fallen off considerably. There was no other customers and I could tell why. There are many options for Korean spa and they should be explored. It's not worth the cost. I booked the Paradise Premium package for my husband's birthday, which included a 40 min Korean body scrub, a 1 hr deep tissue massage, and a 1hr foot reflexology massage. My only complaint was that they purposely assigned three different staff members for the three different services, which felt a bit disruptive. On the bright side, I really enjoyed my female scrubber and masseuse by Linda and Nancy, though I didn't care for the male masseuse as much. For amenities, there are two main saunas in the co-ed area. I loved the clay mud ball room, it was a unique twist! They also have a Himalayan salt room, which was enjoyable, though it didn't get very hot. Just a heads up, inside the shower locker area, there is a hot tub and a steam room, which is a fully nude zone

So long story short, after planning to return in a few weeks, we will NEVER go back. When you check in you have to give your credit/debit card, or ID, or car keys in order to be given an electronic locker key to keep your belongings. You then select a spa "outfit" (pants and shirt) in your size. In the next area you remove your shoes and put them in a cubby. Then a super fast run through by a woman with a heavy Asian accent, so you barely understand. Then you find out that the showers , hot & cold pool ( because they don't have a jacuzzi/hot tub as advertised) is all NUDE! Lol

I was really excited to visit King Spa in Palisades Park while I was in the tri-state area. I had…read morebeen to the King Spa in Niles, IL several times and absolutely loved it, so I was expecting a similar relaxing experience. Unfortunately, I left feeling completely disappointed and more stressed than relaxed. I went on a Monday morning hoping to avoid crowds and have a peaceful day. Things started off on the wrong foot almost immediately. While I was simply checking the size of the uniform, holding it up to see if there was a difference in the width, an employee came over and snatched the second pair out of my hand as if I was trying to take something I shouldn't have. It was not a great way to start when I had barely gotten in the door. Next, the layout was also really confusing. The spa is spread across multiple floors with different sections and stairways, but no one explained where anything was or how to navigate the space. I spent a lot of time in the morning trying to figure out where I was and it felt like I was nosing around someone else's house: uncomfortable. The biggest issue, though, was communication. A woman in the locker room offered my niece and me a deal for two massages for $140 ($70 each) and asked me to send the money through Zelle. I sent $170, including what I thought was a generous tip of over 20%. She arranged the appointment, but I didn't confirm what type of massage I wanted. I foolishly assumed they would ask before starting. We had lunch beforehand - the food was delicious and the portion was huge. Unfortunately, they don't offer to-go boxes, so I needed to reschedule our massages in order to finish my meal. Before even finishing my meal, I went to the massage counter to see if we reschedule our appointments. A younger patron helped translate at the massage desk, but she needed my time slot and took it for herself. She told me the woman would help me reschedule and then left. When I tried to figure out my new time, the interaction felt rushed and dismissive. I was given time without being asked if it worked for me, and when I asked about other options, I was told there were none. I would have cancelled but had already paid, so I took the L. When it was finally time for the massage, we were taken back without anyone asking what type of massage we wanted. I realized my mistake because it was a much more intense massage style and is not my preference. At that point though, after so many rushed and uncomfortable interactions, I honestly didn't feel comfortable advocating for myself to tell them I wanted reflexology. The final issue happened while I was changing before leaving. The same woman who arranged the massage came over and told me I hadn't paid enough tip. I was confused because... it was a tip. She told me I owed another $20 and (to add insult to injury) that I couldn't get my license back from the front desk until I paid. That brought the tip to over 35% on a service I didn't choose and didn't enjoy. I came to King Spa looking for rest and relaxation, but instead left feeling like I had spent my hard-earned money somewhere that never quite felt comfortable and certainly not welcomed.

The owner speaks English very well. I was in the sauna for a few minutes then moved to a steam room for a little longer and then came time for my scrub. Having someone scrub and towel dry me feels like a luxury that I should only experience every once in a while, but when that time comes again I absolutely plan to come back here.

I have had a body scrub and a handful of massages, all of which were great experiences. Both Julie and Michelle are excellent at what they do. Jasmine at the front desk is personable and attentive. Jasmine greets me and ushers me to the locker room, where I change into a robe and store my belongings. Then off to the massage room with the lovely Michelle, who does miracles on my body. In all the years I have received massages, I have never had anyone be as accommodating as Michelle is with me. Besides her soothing and caring demeanor, she is strong and knowledgeable. We have great conversations, the times I don't fall asleep. One of the things she does that I greatly appreciate is that she changes the face pillow to a thicker cushion, so I am comfortable lying on my chest. It makes me feel special cause it's not easy lying on my stomach as a big-chested woman. After the massage, there is always the option to use the dry sauna. Offer that I happily take if I have the time. Cozy vibes all over, and everything is tidy and clean. I swear I levitate out of here each time. The place is never packed. At most, I've seen two other people while I've visited, which is why they are strict about people being on time. I find the prices reasonable for their services and have never been told what to tip. People, please tip!

Pretty consistent experiences and still enjoyed all the different pools and saunas. Love the tangerine ice cream and still love the deluxe scrub. Such a great way to spend the day with loved ones. When you walk in, a security guard is there to check your bags and such. They won't allow outside liquids but have water filling stations all around. After the security guard, you have to put your shoes in the locker. You then go upstairs to the 3rd floor where there is a girls and boys section for changing. Compared to an actual Korean spa, you have to bring your bathing suit. They have changing room areas all around the locker room. The inside has a ton of showers (both Korean style and American). They have an indoor sauna in the girls side and a couple hot tubs. Then you can go out to the outdoor areas. They had a cold waterfall. There were also several unisex hot tubs. This place also has a quiet area to lounge, several saunas with different medical properties, and a gym. The amenities here can go on and on. They definitely balance health with adding a coworking space. It's also interesting they have an infinity pool that shows NYC from the rooftop. The place also has a seasonal grill area and other food court options so you don't have to leave.
