I always choose Arts in motion, over any pet store, They are always friendly and helpful. I have gotten anything from pet supplies to animals. My last purchase was a chihuahua puppy, was well for the price and he had nothing wrong with him, my vet gave him a clean bill of health. That was a year ago. I have also bought birds, Guinea pigs, fish, Gurbles hamp. A Lil bit of everything. I would rate them a 10 + on everything. I was very pleased with this store and the friendliness of its employees. I brought in Dobby for a bath and they laid out towels, treats and shampoo for him. He grabbed a pre- bath treat and I just paid for it with the bath and other treats. He hounded them for love and attention and they gave him plenty and commented on how he was a good boy. I later brought in another dog that i was visiting with and they made room in the schedule for her and laid out the same things for her and a comb. I just want to give a huge thank you to all of the staff on 8/16/22! You made the day with star treatment for a couple of dirty dogs. I know now where to bring them for love and suds! read more

Sadly I have to give a very poor review to a store that I used to highly recommend. It is no longer the friendly, clean and customer-oriented business that it once was. Mike has always touted the idea of supporting a local business, but I have not been treated in kind as a customer. During this time the state of Indiana still has a mask mandate. My 85 yr old mother who lives with us has very serious health problems. After much thought I did venture out to purchase an item since you can't insta-cart a pet store. I very carefully always wear my mask wherever I go. It was not until I was in the store that I was surprised to see the sad degree that the fish department had declined to, and that I was greeted by an employee who wore no mask at all. Then I realized the person at the counter whom I had passed by without seeing had no mask on either. There was no notice to inform customers that the employees inside the store would not be following the state mask mandate. I left. The following day I called trying to reach the owner but he was not available. In the past I have had very positive experiences with him. However the I person spoke to was polite enough, but when I tried to explain that I was surprised by the no mask problem he told me that if I wanted them to wear a mask that I should call ahead! That is crazy. I expect the store to let me know before I go inside. That is their responsibility not mine! When I told him I was sorry but I could not shop there anymore, the employee was curt and dismissive of my problem and simply said "ok, thanks, bye." I would give them 0 stars if possible. If they treat me this way how can I except them to be responsible in the standard of care of anything. So much for supporting the community. I'm part of the community and was not respected as a person or caretaker of a "at-risk" individual. I am now concerned as a caretaker of an elderly mother as to whether I could have inadvertently exposed her. This is not only irresponsible but at this time illegal in the eyes of the state and our present mandates. This was more than irresponsible it was potentially harmful. read more

I used to enjoy coming in to this pet store. After looking for a puppy for quite some time i found one whom I feel in love with. However, my time with this puppy was short lived. I bought a puppy that was supposed to be 10 weeks old. After taking the puppy to the vet I was informed that the puppy was only 6 weeks old (if even). Being lied to about the puppy's age was a little unsettling. But, things became even worse when I took the puppy back to the pet store. First the owners would not talk with me, when they did they insisted that there was no issue and became very angry towards me; even telling me that they get most of their puppies at 6 weeks old or earlier. First puppies need the full 8 weeks with their mother to develop properly and I do not support taking them away at an unnecessary age. Second, instead of owners helping to resolve the issue they became hateful towards me. AND this did not end when I left the pet store. Once returning home I received two more phone calls from the irate owners. I will not support a business with such rude owners and suggest you make sure you are getting all of the information and the truth before buying any animals from this pet store.
