It was absolutely worth it! From the moment we arrived until the time we left, the entire experience was fantastic. You first stop at the souvenir shop to pick up your tickets, where you're told which railcar and table you'll be seated at. When we sat down, a beautiful cheese and cracker platter was already waiting for us. They offer a full bar, including cocktails and bottles of wine, and our waitress mentioned they come through several times during the ride to take additional drink orders. The dinner exceeded our expectations. It included fresh bread with butter, the cheese and cracker appetizer, a bowl of soup, your choice of entrée, and dessert. The entrée options included chicken, beef, and fish. We chose the prime rib and the chicken, and both were absolutely delicious. The prime rib was cooked perfectly, and the chicken was tender and flavorful. The cast was outstanding! They stayed in character the entire time and did an incredible job making everyone feel involved in the mystery. This was our first time, but my parents had done it before and warned us that you really have to pay attention. They're right! Each guest receives a pen and an answer sheet to solve the mystery by identifying the killer, the motive, and a special clue. Out of the four of us, only one person correctly guessed the killer, and even then, they didn't completely figure out the motive. It made the experience even more fun and interactive. If I had one small criticism, it's that although you're riding on a train, this isn't a scenic excursion. Much of the route goes through industrial or less picturesque areas, with only a few brief glimpses of the water and nicer scenery. That said, the entertainment is so engaging that you're rarely focused on what's outside the window anyway. Overall, this was an unforgettable experience with excellent food, outstanding service, and a talented cast. I would absolutely come back again when they have a different mystery to solve. If you're looking for a unique date night, family outing, or celebration, I highly recommend the Murder Mystery Dinner Train!

I felt the train ride itself was a bit unnecessary. There was one nice section of the train ride over water, otherwise there wasn't much to look at. Also the train was swaying back and forth causing me to get a bit nauseous. The food itself was all pretty good! The cheese and fruit plate, potato and leek soup, pretzel roll, and salad were all great starters. I was satisfied with the meal before my entree even arrived! My family and I tried all of the different options (prime rib, salmon, and chicken) and thought they all tasted good. Though I could have done without cranberries in my rice... The dessert was small and light for a cheesecake. Food was surprisingly better than we thought. As for the show, I definitely didn't get how we were supposed to deduce the killer. But the actors did a great job and it was overall a fun night.

Love the intimate size of the theater which really means there's no bad seat in the house and I love the seats on three sides of the stage. We have seen two shows there so far - one a play and one a musical - and both have been great! Highly recommend checking out this little local gem with reasonably priced tickets and amazing membership options and supporting amazing talent!

Since moving out of state, I keep my eyes open for cultural events that my husband and I might enjoy. I haven't struck out yet. Players Circle is a theater in the round. Actually, the square. Uncertain about where to sit, we bought tickets in the east section. Since productions are staged for the venue, I don't think anybody loses out, but take note of the different price points, which is likely a gauge. Our seats, while not the most expensive, were great. I was impressed with the two-person production of "Six Dance Lessons In Six Weeks." Funny, sad and poignant, the show bravely touched upon topical subjects like the tragic outcome of backroom abortions, religious hypocrisy and more. The performers were perfectly cast, with acts cleverly separated by vintage film clips. (Amazing how the actors were able to change costume so quickly!) If Saturday's performance is typical of Players Circle, they're now on my radar. In fact, before writing this, I went online and purchased tix for Godspell, which artistic director Robert Cacioppo said is their most ambitious musical yet!

Watched our first show at the Florida Repertory Theatre last night and greatly enjoyed the…read moreexperience. We saw "The Trial of Ebeneezer Scrooge" and did not know what to expect, as we had not heard of this show before. The cast was hilarious and showed off their excellent acting skills, even the children's ensemble. The Historic Arcade Theatre is beautiful inside and has seats that recline while you watch the show. The stage is just large enough to give everyone a good view and cozy vibe. They offer a full bar and snacks in the lobby. The theater also has convenient free parking for theater goers in a lot right next to the theater. We are glad we tried this theater group out and are excited to attend future shows. It looks like the Florida Repertory Theatre keeps a busy schedule with many shows throughout the year, most of which I have never heard of. Pro tip: the front left side of the theater by the door can be a little loud when traffic drives by outside. I would avoid sitting right by the door if possible.

All the staff was very helpful and kind and the show its self was amazing. We saw the little shop of horror and it was so good it made me like musicals. And I usually can't stand watching them but this was so life changing thank you so much for opening my eyes I honestly love you. Keep supporting the arts as hard core as you do thank you again.
