We weren't…read moresure what to expect, as neither of us knew much about this glass art outside of having a couple pieces of pretty glass jewelry. Both owners, Marcie and Carrie, taught our class giving personal attention to each student. We learned the art of basic glass fusing through instruction, example and making our own pieces. All materials and firing were included in the workshop cost. We were given several examples of what we could make in our introductory class. Wall hangings, jewelry, wind chimes were some of our choices. Large selections of different glass in multitudes of shapes and colors were provided as well as the tools we needed. This class was so much fun and rewarding! I felt encouraged to express myself and with no known artistic ability, I created a fused glass wind chime. I highly recommend this work shop. Something different than dinner and a movie. I'll be going back to make a glass bowl that looks like coral, plant markers for my garden as well as take classes in silk scarf painting.

This last time my humans made a spider, an alien and a narwal, and a dog treat jar!! I helped with that one!!! The staff is very helpful and even gave some tips on how to write my name on the jar. They checked on us often and got us everything we needed. One of my humans is not good in art but loves this experience and actually has made some cool things. There was also some kind of event there and everyone in the birthday party had so much fun. A great way to spend a few to several hours making cool things and gifts!! We were nervous before the class, but after he explained every step in detail, we all felt very good and excited to start! Conrad and his wife are very kind artists and who have a great space. My husband gifted me a glass blowing session with Conrad and I selected pumpkins as the piece I…read morewanted to make. Contrad spent time explaining the process and identifying the tools we would be using. He then demonstrated the process followed by actually working the molten glass while explaining why he doing what he was doing. Each of us got to practice with his guidance. At that point, we were ready to begin making the pumpkins with Conrad guiding us with directions making sure we would have a perfect piece. Success! The setting was wonderful and the time went quickly.
