Beginner or intermediate, it doesn't matter, Katryna makes everyone feel good about their skill level. She explains in detail, demonstrates, tell you the best brush to use, how to mix, and will show you how, even on your own canvas! I took my 14-year-old granddaughter and my 17-year-old very-much-a-male grandson. I thought he was going to hate it, but he ended up thinking it was pretty cool and a great new place to take a date. This is a fun art studio offering paint and sip parties as well as children's art events and birthday parties. Katrin is wonderful! She made the whole experience easygoing and fun. We all walked away with our art masterpiece. She also provided delicious sangria which was a nice touch. We had a fun girls get together event and the whole experience was just amazing. Prices are reasonable and there are so many paintings to choose from as well as painting a glass option which sounds fun. The art studio is located right on Tamiami trail so it's very easy to get to. read more

My mother in law asked if I would try this with her and I said "sure"! We had a lovely afternoon learning to paint. Our art came out better than expected because our instructor was very hands-on and helpful. The studio is so cute and the selection of what you could paint was great! Such a fun thing to do! I have been there to paint by myself, I've gone on dates, and I've gone for girls night, and I've brought my kids. I even had a work party here! Needless to say, I love Vino's Picasso. The staff are super friendly and they help to make the experience more enjoyable. The music is great and it's BYOB! Came for a private party (neogenomics) and had a blast! Arrived at 7pm and shared some small snacks with everyone. Our instructor was nice and helpful on painting and it seemed everyone enjoyed their time, they play music. We painted a beach theme with palm trees and the only thing I didn't like about the painting were the clouds. Clouds were too distracting to the painting. Would have been better if they were sporadically on the canvas rather then one big blob of a cloud. Anyways, other then that, this was an fun event for a Saturday night. read more

I've done 2 paint parties at the Matlache location and LOVE it as they paint "Leoma Lovegrove" paintings. So colorful and happy! The teachers were kind & helpful. It's just so fun! I have another one scheduled and can't wait! Reserve a space online if you want to get a seat as these sell out in high season! Update; just finished my 3rd painting and got to meet the wonderful Leoma Lovegrove!!!! She stopped by the shop the day of our paint party and was so kind, she signed our paintings and my purse which was her design that I had purchased from Bealls Department Store. So much fun!!! My friends and I signed up for a session here instead of Painting With a Twist because we liked the design more here. Other reviews said it was hard to find so we got there extra early. I did not find it hard to find at all so we just waited in the car a bit. It's definitely located in kind of a sketchy place so we weren't sure when the hours on the door said that they close at 3. No one was there but we waited and someone eventually came. Our teacher had apparently cancelled and they had to call someone else to come replace him. I think it was honestly meant to be because Lewis/Louis was super patient and just overall nice! Super happy with our paintings and would definitely stop by here again the next time I'm staying in Fort Myers! read more

Lovely night bonding with my son over painting .the instructors were attentive and patient . You can bring your own bottle of wine or beef which is a great option. Love this place! We did the paint your pet session while in town for a visit. We sent over a couple photos and when we arrived they were sketched and ready for us to paint. Went to a paint night with my mom last night--- Mercedes was sooooo friendly and very informative!! We bought a groupon for this class and for some reason, it wasn't accepting it online. I called when they opened, Mercedes answered and was so sweet and helpful and got us registered for the class that night! She was very easy-breezy and made this non-artist feel very comfortable and capable! I'll post a picture of the painting that we were doing and the finished product. She encouraged us to change it up if we wanted and that was what I did! I've been to a few paint nights with different companies and this one was my favorite so far! Whats better then getting drunk and painting ?!?!? We brought the biggest bottle of wine we could find and went to town on the bottle and the canvas. It was a lot of fun and great date, not the most romantic. You are sharing a table with other people but you don't really have to interact with them if you don't want to. Large groups or a date night, you'll have fun no matter what. Well worth the money, canvas, paint, brushes and an instructor to help lead the way if your not artistically inclined. read more

This is an incredible place to get the creative juices flowing, and I'm not just talking about the wine! The atmosphere is extremely comfortable and reminds me a little of my art class back in high school. But of course with the added bonus of imbibing alcohol. You can tell the proprietor, Mercedes, is extremely passionate about art and will gladly give you some advice when asked for. She made our visit that much more enjoyable by playing some truly excellent jams while we painted. Vino Picasso is perfect for groups or families, and even girls night out. This might even be the right place for imaginative individuals to pop the question! I'll leave that idea up to you! Go drink, be marry(or married), and paint to your hearts content! read more

Coming here is one of my friend's and my favorite things to do when making a plan to hang out with each other! We get to drink wine (BYO, you can also bring beer or whatever you want), learn something new every time (none of us are formal artists), and there is ample time to chat among ourselves. Plus you get to come home with your very own "masterpiece." I love that they play chilled out relaxing music (think mostly "coffeehouse" on XM radio), and the artists there are so friendly, approachable, and willing to help out to keep it fun. The owner is just a doll, she talks to you like she's known you forever and she always remembers me when I come in, even though its usually months apart due to my busy schedule. They have a calendar on their website that showcases which artwork will be featured on which day, and often cycle them monthly -- good if you didn't get a chance to attend on the day you wanted. For the repeat vino-painters, they regularly switch up their artwork so there is usually something new to paint. I highly recommend this place to everyone. read more

Katrina was soooo nice and fun! She was very helpful and personable. She was very accommodating for our group as the system for scheduling on the website was reset and changed and our booked time was lost, but she stayed to provide the class and was soooo enthusiastic to do so. The normal person would have said if I don't see it then it's not happening. Thank you so much for your understanding and your care!!! Painted yesterday in Matlacha and it was a HOOT...Yes we did paint our version of Leoma's Knock Knock Owl! It was soo much fun especially because our instructor Mercedes was spot on with suggestions and instruction! The rest was up to us making each one unique and beautiful. Vino's Picasso was just an idea in April 2011. By August we had a location in South Fort Myers and in October/November 2011 we were ready to go! We were the first paint studio/wine bar/art gallery combination in SWFL and put Paint & Sip on the map for most SWFloridians. We are a local business run by locals and all of our paintings are original pieces we created as a team. We have a location in Naples (2014) and seasonal studio on Matlacha Island at Leoma Lovegrove's garden and gallery (2013). We also travel to you!

Since moving out of state, I keep my eyes open for cultural events that my husband and I might enjoy. I haven't struck out yet. Players Circle is a theater in the round. Actually, the square. Uncertain about where to sit, we bought tickets in the east section. Since productions are staged for the venue, I don't think anybody loses out, but take note of the different price points, which is likely a gauge. Our seats, while not the most expensive, were great. I was impressed with the two-person production of "Six Dance Lessons In Six Weeks." Funny, sad and poignant, the show bravely touched upon topical subjects like the tragic outcome of backroom abortions, religious hypocrisy and more. The performers were perfectly cast, with acts cleverly separated by vintage film clips. (Amazing how the actors were able to change costume so quickly!) If Saturday's performance is typical of Players Circle, they're now on my radar. In fact, before writing this, I went online and purchased tix for Godspell, which artistic director Robert Cacioppo said is their most ambitious musical yet!

The owner "Buddy" Walker himself waited on us and told us such interesting stories of how it all started. We bought a bit of everything to try! We saw "The Trial of Ebeneezer Scrooge" and did not know what to expect, as we had not heard of this show before. The cast was hilarious and showed off their excellent acting skills, even the children's ensemble. The Historic Arcade Theatre is beautiful inside and has seats that recline while you watch the show. The stage is just large enough to give everyone a good view and cozy vibe. They offer a full bar and snacks in the lobby. The theater also has convenient free parking for theater goers in a lot right next to the theater. We are glad we tried this theater group out and are excited to attend future shows. It looks like the Florida Repertory Theatre keeps a busy schedule with many shows throughout the year, most of which I have never heard of. Pro tip: the front left side of the theater by the door can be a little loud when traffic drives by outside. I would avoid sitting right by the door if possible.
