Most of the artists and the receptionist are friendly, but it's because of the management's attitude towards customer service that I can no longer recommend Art Junkies, especially when there are so many great options in the nearby area. My wife went in to get a tattoo from another shop fixed, and was very specific that a certain part was not to be touched- it was the only part she liked on the original. For some reason, the artist did that part anyways and it looked so bad that people commented on it! I went into the shop and talked to one of the artists who told me that we had three options: laser removal to get the part lightened then fixed, trying to lighten it with white ink or trying creams- I told him that we would try the laser option. My wife also posted her displeasure on their facebook page, but it was removed. This would have been a great time for them to tell us about the "hidden" requirement to show the owner the tattoo before getting the work done, but this didn't happen. So my wife had several painful laser sessions before we go in to have the tattoo looked at for repairs. That's when they tell us that the repair will be new work because "we didn't show them first!" Even though I came in before the sessions, at no time were we told to do that and that was never given as a condition. The owner only added this requirement after the fact, even though we were acting on THEIR advice and doing exactly what we were told. All we wanted was the parts that weren't supposed to be done in the first place fixed, but the owner refused even though they made the error. Ultimately, after much argument, we were given a refund for the original work. It's a shame, because we had intended on getting several more pieces done there. I suppose it wasn't worth it to the owner. read more

I didn't get to even speak with an artist so this review is simply about their customer service- or lack of. I went in expecting to get a quote from an artist. The lady at the desk picked an artist she thought could do what I want well and told me he was with a customer and would call me with a quote in a couple hours. Not a big deal because I wouldn't want the guy to stop working on me for a quote. Four hours pass by and I call to check- apparently everyone had gone home (over two hours before their posted closing time!!). This place is obviously not worried about making any money. read more

My Tattoo artist was good and very nice and was able to give his expert advice on my tattoo. The only thing I DID NOT like about this place was the blonde girl. She was so extremely rude, it was unbelievable that a human could act like that towards another human. As soon as I walked in the door, she made me feel like I didn't belong there. read more

Chris B is a very professional and talented tattoo artist. I myself have had plenty of tattoos from Chris and every time i left extremely happy with the work he did. I decided to fulfill a dream I have had for years, get a tattoo! It has meant a lot to me to get it so I wanted to make sure I got quality work. Thankfully, I walked into Art Junkies and met Mike! He hooked me up and got me in within a couple days. His technique was pristine and his personality made the process of getting your spine tattooed a walk in the park. I'm definitely more than pleased with my ink and will absolutely be back soon. Everyone there is super cool as well as the atmosphere, making this one of the finest tattoo establishments I have ever been in (I have been in many for friends, piercings, etc). Just got my first tattoo last week! Tim was comletely awesome! He was very professional and took his time with me on the size I wanted and the placement. Had to change my review. After 2 months and allowing it to fully heal. It was just not right. Still love the concept, but I was asked more than once if it was real or sharpie. I called to see if he could do anything to make it better. He basically responded it healed the way it was supposed to. When I asked if he could maybe add some background color to soften the look, he told me it would cost me the minimum parlor charge. I was ok with that and asked him to get me an appointment. As of today, a few days later he still hasn't responded to me. I went to another salon, the artist there was like wow.... These are heavy dark lines for the kind of piece I have. He added color, took time to really make it beautiful and I so love it now. Sorry art junkies, your guy just didn't cut it. read more

I went in looking for a chest piece to get on my 18th birthday and as soon as I walked through the doors, I was greeted by a very friendly staff, a clean work area, and an awesome atmosphere. The artist who did my piece is Cha Cha. She was polite and patient as I tried to find pictures of what I wanted and managed to come up with a sketch of what I wanted within minutes of me walking in. art junkies is a clean and very professional shop, i went to chris burnett to get an old tattoo that another artist got super lazy on, and i couldn't be happier with the work. he did an 8 hour session for 400 bucks (for his quality of work this is a mad hook up). we got a lot done, re-outlined my whole forearm, n colored it. i will definitely be getting more work done by chris. you guys need to check him out. you won't be disappointed! read more

I came to Art Junkies originally for a Hawaiian hip piece, that was very Important to me. My Appointment was by Brent Olson, I can honestly say he's the only dude that doesn't have a heavy hand! He was patient, he listened to what I said I wanted done- in detail, My Ink healed nice and easy. My Husband & Friends complimented his work immediately. My ink still look's fresh like I just had it done last night, when it was over a year ago. There business is very clean, sterile and professional.
