(U can look at the review that i left explaining the whole thing) Long story short..i decided to just get wax cause i was in a rush and do u believe they cut the hairs of my eyebrow and i had a bald spot..they way they waxed my brows looked like i had 2 straight hair lines above my eye. Let me start by saying this wasn't the first time I had been there but it's definitely my last. Started off with walking in and the rap music was blasting extremely loud to where they probably had no idea if anyone was walking in or not. Then she threads my eyebrows with horrific cigarette smelling hands. Gross. I'm not a smoker and most people today aren't so what makes them think it's attractive to not wash your hands after smoking? Keep your gross habit off my eyebrows. NEVER AGAIN. So I'm visiting SI and badly need an eyebrow threading. I have tattoo eyebrows so it's just cleaning up around the brow nothing complex. The girl that did my eyebrows keep talking to another customer knowing that I was waiting... she kept talking to the previous customer with the string in her mouth while doing my eyebrow as fast as she can. They still put the string in there MOUTH!! Every other place I have been use a ring on their neck!! She didn't clean her hands before she started on me. And used the same scissors and brow brush without any sterilization. And it cost $15!! That might be the standard rate but it's usually $7 or $8 in the city. I don't recommend this place mostly due to their lack of hygiene practices, rudeness and it's very expensive. Regardless, I did still give a tip. But stay away and I definitely wouldn't ever go back. This is probably why SI numbers are the worst than any other borough. read more

I normally go to Christopher Michaels on the North Shore, but tied this place because they have threading until 7. They aren't warm or welcoming, but the girl there is the only person to be able to make my eyebrows look like "sisters, not twins." I lived through the thin thin brows of the early 2000's, and my brows looked more like distant cousins then sisters. She made them actually match. read more

I had only done waxing but was curious to try threading since it's supposed to be better for your skin & more sanitary. I've been burned by wax before, broken out from it too so on a whim I stopped by on a Saturday to try this place out. I'm VERY picky with my eyebrows & have been going to the same wax lady for years so I was hesitant to try a new place but I'm so glad I did. Sam did my eyebrows quickly & I'm so impressed. this place is unbelievable with what they do to eyebrows. lifesavers. I believe the girl's name is tema that I prefer to do my eyebrows, but they're all great- no one has messed me up in here yet! I have read reviews saying the workers are "rude," but I didn't find that to be the case at all. my first time walking in here, both girls were busy and I didn't get greeted so I was a little confused and said "can I get my eyebrows done?" they then realized i'd never been there before and told me to take a seat. when it was my turn to go, all it took was smiling and talking to them for them to interact with me. there's no doubt in my mind that the people in and out of there are snooty people who think "who they are," so the girls learned to keep quiet to avoid getting ignored by the customers or whatnot. and i don't blame them, seeing some of the people in here and their attitudes the times i've been sitting waiting. 1- you don't know what people are going thru to walk in and say that these workers are nasty and rude, and 2- don't walk into a place expecting be treated kindly if you go in with your nose in the air and a stick in your butt. a smile and a nice comment goes a long way, I promise. read more

I never have a problem with my eyebrows. They thread them fine. The price is whatever, just about the same elsewhere. The issue is the service and level of professionalism. They are rude and don't care if a customers in there. A customer is not stopping their ridiculous conversations. Aggressive is a good way to describe the employees. They definitely need to take a class on customer service on how to treat customers and how to act when they are around. I understand that it's a small business and not a big corporation but that's not an excuse to provide poor customer service. More people are going to share a bad experience than a good one. read more
